In Sunday's Urinal and Constipation, in the editorial section, the editorial staff discussed how they wrote editorials and then the editorial staff provided short biographies of themselves. I got a big kick out of how they described themselves politically.
Cynthia Tucker - Editorial page editor (top dog) and columnist. Politics - "Center-left."
See, this is how liberals and the lamestream media think. They think they are in the center. Cynthia is a socialist and a vociferous anti-gun zealot. Her politics are pure left.
Jim Wooten - Deputy editorial page editor (second in command) and columnist. Politics - "Conservative."
He is one of just two writers on the staff who is honest about his political beliefs. Ya notice he dosn't say 'center-right'? He's a conservative and admits it.
Jay Bookman - Associate editorial page editor and columnist. Politics - "I began my life as a moderate Republican, and cast my first presidential vote for Jerry Ford. But the rightward lurch of the GOP inspired by Ronald Reagan left me stranded. To paraphrase the Gipper, I didn't leave the Republican Party, it left me."
Where do I begin? Why didn't he just admit that he's a flaming liberal? Why does he have to go through all the bullshit about the Republican Party leaving him? No one that I know in the Republican Party has ever been as liberal as Jay. Maybe he thought he was once a Rockefeller Republican, but he sure as hell is a McGovern Dimocrat now.
Benita M. Dodd - Editorial writer. Politics - "Sensible."
Sensible? What the heck does that mean? C'mon Benita. Give us a hint. Sensible? Hell, I'm a libertarian and I think my politics are sensible. Tom Dasshole thinks his politics are sensible. Cynthia McKinney probably thinks her politics are sensible. Benita doesn't write a column, so I don't really have a clue. She probably doesn't either.
Maureen Downey - Editorial writer.
Every other writer gave their age. Maureen gave hers as ageless. C'mon. Give us a break! Let's see what she gives for her politics.
Politics - "An ardent believer in democracy who contends there's nothing wrong with America that a few more women in high places can't fix. "
First, Maureen, the United States is not a democracy it is a republic. And second, you are probably a feminazi who worships at the altar of Hillary Clinton. Why don't you just say you're a socialist? Which, by the way, she is. I've read some of her opinions.
Martha Ezzard - Editorial writer and columnist. Politics - "Have been in both parties, not crazy about either. Was a republican legislator, ran for 1986 U.S. Senate nomination in Colorado. Resigned my seat and switched parties in 1987. My support of reproductive choice and strong environmental policies were the big reason."
So she's pro-abortion (Godammit! It's not pro-choice and pro-life. It's pro-abortion or anti-abortion. Can't we at least be honest about that? I'm not getting into the politics of it, but geez, these stupid terms we use to mask the truth. You're either for abortion or against it. It's as simple as that.) and she's an environmental wacko. And she is. I've read her stuff. Once again, all she had to do was say she's a liberal, which she is.
Lyle V. Harris - Editorial writer. Politics - "Radical moderate."
Huh? Radical moderate? Jesus H. Christ! That's a freaking oxymoron, like military intelligence or Senate ethics. There is no such thing as a radical moderate. Make up your mind Lyle. Are you a radical or a moderate? Can't be both. I know. Maybe I should apply for a job as an editorial writer at the AJC. Politics - Radical, moderate, conservative, libertarian who favors disability rights as long as it means I get my own parking space and my own stall in the john.
Susan Wells - Editorial writer. Politics - "Feminist Democrat."
The only other person honest about her beliefs, and she probably idolizes Hillary Clinton who is the antithesis of feminism, since she had to remain married to a man who humiliated her and her daughter to get where she is.
Mike Luckovich - Editorial cartoonist. Politics - "Independent. Try to base my cartoons on common sense."
Yeah, Mike, you're about as much an independent as Garry Trudeau. And to Mike, common sense usually means being against all Republican policies.
So that's the editorial staff of the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation. Poor Jim Wooten is surrounded by all these leftist, socialist dipshits.
How does the poor man keep his sanity?
