Back in November I wrote a post titled It's All Our Fault about a woman, Nakia Burgess, too stupid to breed who murdered accidentally killed her daughter, Asan'te, by leaving her in a car all day while she was at her job. From the Atlanta Urinal and Constipation (no link because they are only good for seven days)
Asan'te died from the heat after Burgess left her in the car outside her workplace.Aten said Burgess did that because child care
arrangements fell through on the first
day of her temporary job.
The story goes on to say that the child had Down's Syndrome and needed to be enrolled in a special school. The school required paper work, such as immunization records, that Burgess had left in New Jersey. The school would have taken the child without the records, but Burgess was too fucking stupid to ask.
But she said the school would have enrolled Asan'te in a program immediately if Burgess produced only two documents: One was proof that she lived in the DeKalb school district and the other a copy of Asan'te's special education plan from New Jersey, which Burgess' attorney said Burgess did bring with her when she moved.
She left New Jersey, with a special needs child, to go to Atlanta where she had no friends and no family because Atlanta is "a mecca for blacks". She was responsible for the death of her child, and of course it is society's fault that her baby died. Bullshit! I wish there were some way we could prevent stupid people from breeding, because it is their children who suffer and we're supposed to feel guilty about it.
You have to get licenses for your animals. You have to get a license to get married. But all you have to do is have hot sex and bam! you have a baby. All right, as a libertarian I shouldn't want to restrict their "right" to have children, but as a libertarian, I should not be forced to pay for their stupidity. I'm gonna keep on saying this: Any woman who goes on public assistance should have her tubes tied. If you cannot afford children you should not have children. How hard a concept is that?
Someone who called herself Asan'te's aunt posted in the comments of that post a few weeks back:
I feel that it was very distasteful the way that you discused the situation on my niece asante burgess who ever the hell you are well to give you the facts i am asante's dad's sister and yes indeed her father loved her very much and so does her whole entire family she did not ask to be born with down syndrome but since you are ignorant to the fact about the situation i will not go any further but my brother married her mother and they were not beating the system that was the purpose of her seeking employment to take care of her daughteryou never once heard anything about welfare and even if she did try to get assistance i would think asante' deserves at least that much she was our precious little angel and she will be missed so please know all the facts before you make comments such as the ones that you madeyou never know who's browsing the net and reads these articles they were very offensive to myself and my family ...
OK. If you are indeed her aunt, I have a few questions for you.
1. Where the fuck was her father? If he loved her so much why wasn't he in Atlanta with her mother?
2. Why did her mother leave New Jersey with her child without the immunization records.
3. Why was her mother too stupid to ask the school if she could have placed the child in school pending receipt of the records?
4. Why didn't her family and friends (or your brother) try to talk her out of an ill advised move to Atlanta where she had no family or friends.
5. And how come I'm more upset about this than you are?
This child died a horrible death from the heat while locked in the car. Over the last year in Georgia, we have had many children die of abuse and neglect. It pisses me off. We have people who shouldn't be breeding and because of neglect or cruelty, these children die horrible deaths. And then the bleeding hearts blame it on society. Or they try to make me feel bad because I point this stuff out. Diane got all pissed off at me and posted a comment:
As I sit and read your postings, my adrenaline is rushing so fast that I almost cannot control myself. It's so sad that people like you (Denny) still exist. Do you really need to use foul language to get your point across? It really only makes you look like a redneck.
Sometimes I get really fucking pissed off and I like to use really fucking foul fucking language to get my fucking point across. By people like me do you mean someone whose heart breaks when he reads about a child murdered by her mother? What do you want to bet she has more children and fucks up their lives.
As a final note, maybe people like YOU shouldn't be able to procreate; the world would have a few less ignorant individuals :) You should go to bed each night thankful that you have the freedom of speech. It's too bad you don't have the intelligence to deal with it thoughtfully. I am so glad that your "glass house" hasn't had stones thrown at it. It might be fragile just like anyone else.
Diane, you'll be happy to know that I haven't procreated. But, if I had, I would have waited until I could have afforded children. I would have sent the children to private schools. And isn't the :) so cute after you called me ignorant? And, yes, I'm thankful I have free speech. I spent four years in the Navy protecting my right to free speech. Y'know ignorance can be cured. Stupidity is forever.
If you have read much of my stuff, you would know that I grew up poor. I am now what the Dimocrats would call rich. I got there by working my butt off. I am well educated and well read. Throw all the stones at my glass house that you want. And call me a redneck if it makes you feel good. Some of my best friends are rednecks. They're honest, patriotic and hard working people. They live in those red states. They are the backbone of America.
To the family- I am sorry that you had to experience such a distasteful person (Denny). What happened is incredibly sad and unfortunate.Posted by Diane at September 6, 2003 09:07 PM
What is "incredibly sad and unfortunate" is that I appear to be more upset than the family about what happened. Actions have consequences. Do you think I take delight that little Asan'te died? Her death was inexcusable.
We have an underclass created by the Dimocrat's Great Society and deaths like little Asan'te's are becoming the norm. Here in Georgia, our social service agencies are overwhelmed. We've thrown $5 trillion at poverty and it hasn't helped. And trying to make me feel guilty about pointing out the failure of the welfare state is pointless.
We need to teach the values of self-reliance and hard work. We need to fix our education system (and throwing money at will not do it) and stress the value of education. And we need to teach that actions have consequences and society is not to blame for pointless deaths like little Asan'te's.
And Diane, your smug, bleeding heart liberalism is part of the problem. Look down and see what Bart thinks.
