Shit! Hosting Matters got a big ol' denial of service shitstorm last night and all of us bloggers who use them were SOL last night. And I had some good stuff too.

Did y'all see this story at Newmax about the effect mary-joo-wana has on sperm?

On another matter, in my rules for this blog I state, "If you do insult me or others, try to make it an amusing insult." I got the following comment from Joe Carter on my This Is My Blog post:

They reopened the cafeteria at work with a new vendor running it and the prices are lower! It looks like these guys are gonna try to make it work.

Speaking of work, the German project is on again. At least conference calls are. For some reason, I have not been invited to any of them. That really breaks my heart.

My manager's manager is retiring at the end of this month. I wonder if they're gonna have to go into the hospital to remove my manager's lips from his manager's ass or if it can be done in the doctor's office.

It looks like my manager is gonna get promoted into his manager's job. This is proof positive that suckup ass kissing can work if it is done professionally. We're all wondering who our new first line manager will be.

Our network guy is retiring at the end of December. The guy who is supposed to replace him is woefully inadequate. There are only two people who think this guy is gonna replace him: this guy and my manager. Everyone else knows that the real replacement is gonna be me. It's not that I want to take over the network (I don't), it's just that I'm the only guy in our group, other that the network guy, who has any network skills. Running the network is really gonna cut into my goof off time.

Since the Cubs blew it (as usual) I can post my favorite Cubs joke.

Didja hear the Cubs are gonna relocate to the Philippines? They're gonna be renamed the Manila Folders.

And speaking of sports, isn't Warren Sapp aptly named? I used to feel sorry for Tampa Bay 'cause they were so lousy. Now that they've gotten good they've also become classless. Sapp's the kind of player that you'd like to see have a career ending knee injury.

Sometimes you just can't win. I just had a troll who was pissed off that we were fighting a war on terrorism while at the same time whining that we didn't enter World War II soon enough. So which is it? Does she want us to save the world or not? Typical clueless liberal.

My sister and her husband drove down tonight for my birthday dinner at Cindy's tomorrow night. No, it is not my birthday, that's next Saturday. But we're celebrating it this Saturday. I expect to consume large quantities of wine. Every year Cindy knits me a sweater. I'll have to start posting pictures of them. She knits fantastic sweaters!
