Ho hum! More Liberal Whining

Georgia Tech and Maryland are playing on ESPN so I don't have much time to blog tonight, so I may as well just post sumpin' by a liberal and point out the bullshit.

Garry Trudeau has been running some Doonesbury strips about Arnold's groping. Dude! That's just like so yesterday. You liberals said that was OK during the Clinton years. What's changed? I mean, doesn't he like get, like one free grope? I mean it's like only about sex, right? What's the problem?

Now Robert Sheer of the (who else?) L. A. Times is moaning about how the California Attorney General doesn't give a fuck about the allegations of groping. They printed this stupid op-ed in Thursday's Atlanta Urinal and Constipation. Like I said, the only reason I'm taking note of this is because I can do a few cut and pastes, and say substitute Clinton for Arnold and it's a slam dunk. Plus it will only take me about ten minutes and I can get back to the game.

California AG pooh-poohs allegations against Schwarzenegger

Boo-fucking-hoo!

In perhaps the most bizarre turn yet in California's season of political madness, the state's highest law enforcement official has said, in effect, that allegations of sexual harassment and even possible assault of women do not constitute serious offenses if perpetrated by his ''good friend'' Arnold Schwarzenegger

Substitute Bill Clinton for Arnold and Janet Reno for the attorney general and ask old Bob if this would piss him off.

Speaking at a conference in Berkeley, Calif., on Saturday, Attorney General Bill Lockyer told reporters that although he believed a slew of women's allegations that the governor-elect had grabbed them sexually without permission or invitation, ''I'm convinced Arnold didn't really understand that he was caught up in frat-boy behavior.''

Same substitution and ask Gloria Steinem how she feels. After all, she gave us the "one free grope rule".

Since frat-boy behavior has at times encompassed serious violations of the law --- including, all too frequently, rape --- it is not clear whether Lockyer is denying the seriousness of the complaints against Schwarzenegger or simply suggesting that the actor was not mentally competent to comprehend the consequences of the alleged acts.

Bob, has Arnold ever been accused of rape? I don't think so. Bill has. And Bill never did deny it. And the press only asked him about it once. Where was your outrage back then?

Oddly, Lockyer accepts that their stories are true but implies that serial molestation by one of the wealthiest and best-connected men in the country is not to be taken seriously.

Hmmm! That sounds familiar. Where have I heard this before?

On the movie sets where many of the incidents are said to have occurred, Schwarzenegger was in an enormously powerful position over the people who later leveled complaints against him --- he could have ruined their careers. His inchoate and vague admissions and semi-apologies since the charges were made do not leave one sanguine about his future actions.

Unlike Clinton, who just had them audited by the IRS and smeared their reputations. Where was your outrage then Bob?

Lockyer has set the bar very, very low for bosses in California.

Why not? The lamestream media and the Dimocrats set the bar very low for the president of the United States. Listen to them chickens coming home to roost. What's the sound of a chicken coming home to roost? Cluck-fucking-cluck!

At best he's a hypocrite. On the last day of the recall campaign, Lockyer did state that even though the one-year statute of limitations had presumably run out on the incidents described by the women who came forward, ''Arnold should volunteer'' for an ''investigation to clear up these charges,'' adding, ''there's too many of them, they're disturbing, the volume is disturbing.''

Arnold should have followed Clinton's example and set up a special group to handle "bimbo eruptions." Bill's victims were bimbos. Arnolds victims were ... ?

But in the wake of Schwarzenegger's convincing victory, Lockyer apparently decided that the bodybuilder's coattails were too long to ignore for a politician trying to capture the hearts of those fickle swing voters.

And Bill's approval numbers were in the 60% range so it didn't really matter if he was a sexual molester. See how that works, Bob?

''He's put himself on the side of the angels,'' cheered George Gorton, Schwarzenegger's campaign strategist. ''If there ever was a time to hold hands and walk together out of the forest, it's now.'' Let's hope Lockyer will not fall for this fairy tale and instead exercise his responsibility to protect the public interest, wherever that path may lead.

But, Bob, Lockyer is a Dimocrat. He doesn't have to have morals or ethics. This, after all, is the party of Bill Clinton and Ted Kennedy.

Sure, let's all wish Schwarzenegger lots of luck in playing his new role. But we don't need the state's attorney general to become another groupie of the Terminator, looking the other way instead of making sure that women --- and the public interest --- don't get molested.

We saw that movie with Bill Clinton and Janet Reno. Whassamatta Bob? Don't you want to see the remake?

Did this over half time. Now, back to the game.

Nothing in extended entry. Don't know why it's telling you to continue reading. Ignore it.
