I have a lot to be thankful for this year.
I am thankful for my readers. I'm really thankful for the ones who have taken time to send me e-mail to tell me they like my stuff. I am really, really thankful for those of you who have sent me pictures to post. If I haven't posted your particular picture yet don't worry, I probably will in the near future. I try to give credit for every picture sent to me, altho' I usually leave last names off to protect the guilty.
I am thankful I still have a job at TCIDNN (the Company I Dare Not Name) since lots of the material I get for this site comes from my experiences working there. Also, they pay me a lot of money. Even tho' my clueless manager and the PMICOUM (Project Manager In Charge Of Useless Meetings) drive me up the wall, the work itself is still fun to do.
I'm thankful for Shepherd Center in Atlanta. I am able to go SCUBA diving and snow skiing because of crip programs they put together. I'm thankful I'm able to afford the trips. Once again a good reason to be thankful that I still have a job.
I'm thankful the Dimocrats are not running the country. The Dimocrats fucked up the Cold War, I don't want them to fuck up the War on Terror. I wish the Republicans would quit spending money like Dimocrats.
I'm thankful for the intelligent people who comment on my site. I'm even thankful for some of the trolls since I can play with them beofre I ban them.
I'm thankful for Rachel Lucas moving me off Blowspot and on to Hosting Matters and installing Movable Type for me. Now if she would only go back to writing stuff on a regular basis, I would be even more thankful. Please Rachel, please!
I'm thankful that Kim du Toit didn't follow through on his pledge to only post once a week. And Kim, I will try to get to Dallas next year to finally meet you and Connie. Oh, and Rachel too.
I'm thankful that Pumpman set up the Jawja Blogger Meetup 2003 in Dahlonega. It was a real trip meeting the boner man and all the other Georgia bloggers.
I'm thankful that Greg Greene setup the Atlanta Blogger Meetup. Even though Greg and I are about as far apart politically as you can be, he still is a neat guy to hang out with. I'm looking forward to another meetup some time. I'd like to see Jessica again.
I'm thankful that I live in the most free and prosperous nation on this planet and that a roomful of liberals, conservatives, libertarians, and other political types can spend an evening together drinking without any fights breaking out.
I'm thankful for the Blogosphere which has allowed me to meet the people referenced above.
I'm thankful for my friends Michael and Cindy, Jeanella and Wahoo, Jerry and Nancy, Steve and Alixe, and, of course, Brian who says I use fuck too much.
I'm thankful that my sister is fixing Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow (tho' she will make me help) and I will be able to share it with family and friends. Also, I get to eat the best apple pie in the world.
There is so much to be thankful for this year. I could go on and on.
Happy Thanksgiving!
