Back to Work

I got back into work this morning and logged on. There in my mail box was a note saying that there was gonna be a little going away party for my manager's manager at 11:00 AM in a conference room on a different floor. Around 11:10 someone was sent down to tell people to come to the meeting as there were only three people there. Hmmmm! That kinda reminds me of this

While President George W. Bush was embraced warmly by the more than 600 troops he served dinner to in Baghdad on Thanksgiving, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton didn't get the same treatment.

In fact so few U.S. military personnel volunteered to meet and sit with her, that military leaders in Baghdad had to designate enlisted personnel and junior officers to spend time with the New York senator.

Well duh! How would you like to be one of the people who had to eat with the traitorous bitch? Especially since as a morale booster she badmouthed the commander-in-chief.

If Clinton was aware of her seemingly unpopularity, she didn't seem to care. Almost immediately after landing in Iraq, she began bad-mouthing the Bush administration to the military personnel she met, telling them that while America supported the troops, there were questions about the Bush administration's approach.

It used to be a policy in this country that politics stopped at the waters' edge. I don't remember Ronald Reagan or Bush senior badmouthing the Clinton administration in foreign countries. In fact, I don't remember Bush badmouthing the Clinton administration at all. But then, Bush has class, unlike Bill, Hillary and the rest of the traitorous Dimocrats. And what Hillary did has to rank as a new low. I mean trying to destroy the morale of troops in a war zone? Is there nothing that this woman will not do?

And y'know, I'm getting really sick of this "We support the troops, but..." bullshit. The assholes who say this don't support the troops and they know it. They're the booger eatin' moh-rons who think that if we just bring the troops home and act nice to the rest of the world terrorism will magically go away. Just like all Israel has to do is remove all their troops from the occupied areas and Palestinians will quit blowing up.

And speaking of the Palestinians (which I haven't done in a while), I should have put the following in my Stupidity post: Anyone who thanks that Israel is practicing genocide on the Palestinians is stupid. If Israel were interested in wiping out the Palestinians, they would have done it by now. It's not like they don't have the firepower.

Den Beste talked about our War on Terror in this post. One excerpt:

If you learn nothing else about America, learn this and imprint it on your brain in glowing colors: we will never surrender. There are many ways this war can end. That's not one of them.

This is one of the few times I find myself disagreeing with Den Beste. The Dimocrats as represented by Hillary Clinton, Howard Dean, John Edwards, John Kerry, and the rest of the idiots running for the Dimocrat nomination (with the exception of Lieberman and Gephardt) want us to pack up and come home. If we put the Dimocrats in power again, we will surrender. We'll gather around a big campfire and ask why they hate us while singing Kumbaya. It was the appeasement wing of the Dimocrat Party that allowed the Cold War to go on as long as it did.

But back to Hillary.

I was gonnna start calling Hillary Hanoi Hillary for her bullshit session with the troops but someone over at Free Republic came up with a better name: Haghdad Hillary. Yep! That's a keeper.

Anyway, my team lead went to the going away party. I told him to ask how his surgery turned out.

"What surgery?"

"The surgery where he had our manager's lips surgically removed from his ass."

I also told him not to ask to see the scar.

The whole story is intriguing in that the media was all set to cover the Haghdad Hillary story, and lo and behold, here's GW holding the turkey. It inspired me to create some artwork...

Denny, den Beste is right, we won't surrender. In the unlikely event of the Dems taking over, there would be a temporary cease fire on our part, followed by an atrocity worse than 9/11/01. Following such an atrocity the answer would either be ineffectual gestures as in Clinton or a spastic nuking of Islam. My bet would be on ineffectual gestures. After the next election the war would then resume in spades.

Hillary was with Bush? No kidding. We in Australia saw it on TV news so many times we could smell the turkey, but Hillary? I don't recall a single mention of her. Honest!

Maybe our news editors know what their doing after all.

The only difference between Hillary Clinton and Jane Fonda is Jane was more up front.
