Where did those wires come from?
This brings back a memory of when I was taking flying lessons and my instructor pulled back on the throttle to simulate a loss of engine and I had to go through everything I needed to do in the event of losing power. I found a real nice field to land in but I didn't notice the power lines I would have hit had this been a real emergency.
Denny, I was working in Seattle when something like this happened - that photo may even be from the Seattle incident. A small plane took off from the Boeing field and was too low, so his landing gear hit the wires. He hung there for about three hours before the fire department could get him out - I think they had to make sure the juice was off before they would touch the plane.
