Oh, Algore. Had he only won his home state. What an embarassment.

Please, please, please ignore the south. Go away. Leave us alone! Pretty please leave the south to it's own political future!

Oh, but Algore did win his home state. He carried DC!

Ignore us if you want. Underestimate us if you dare. Fools.

Well, the democrats used to have the south pretty tied up. Then they passed that silly Civil Rights Act... Shame, Shame.

Uh Robin, you many want to go read your history. Southern Dimocrats (including Algore's father) voted against the Civli Rights Act. Shame, Shame. It was the Republicans working along with Johnson who passed it.

So... what you're saying is... that the democrats used to have the south tied up, and then they passed the Civil Rights Act?

I know all about the Dixiecrats.

It made me laugh, but Kevin Siers, whoever he is, is going to get sued by the "Castro... will... fall... from... power... any... minute... now!" cartoonist.

Query to Robin: Have you ever even visited the South?

No, Elizabeth. I don't think I need to 'visit' the south, per se.

I just live in Richmond, Virginia.

About a block from the Jeb Stuart Monument. A block the other way for the Robert E. Lee one.

Robin - What I'm trying to point out is that without Republicans, the Civlil Rights Act would not have passed. In the Senate, it got more Republican votes than Dimocrat votes. And isn't it ironic that in the 60's Dimocrats were standing in school house doors keeping blacks out of good schools and now, even tho' more than 60% of blacks support vouchers, it is the Dimocrats and black "leaders" like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton (all of whose children went to private schools)who are standing in the school house doors keeping children in failing schools? Since Jimmah Carter established the Department of Education, education has gotten worse. Of course that is to the benefit of Dimocrats since uneducated people are more likely to vote Dimocrat. Shame! Shame! Shame!

Wow, Robin, I work on Main Street, and live in Chesterfield. Born at Retreat. On Grove.

And Denny said it better than I would have.
