August Guild Function
Tonight I went to a monthly Sommelier Guild of Atlanta tasting. It was held at Sage in Decatur. Here is the menu and the wines we drank.

2nd: Chesapeake Crab Cake on roasted new potato salad
Duckhorn 2002 Napa
Selene 2003 Hyde vineyard Carneros (consistently top rated)
Rochioli 2003 Russian River (my fav Cal SB from 02)
3rd: Coquille St. Jacques
Felipe Portier Quincy 2003 Loire
Thomas Sancerre 2002 "Clos de la Crele" Loire
Pascal Jolivet Pouilly Fume 2002 Loire
Chateau Latour Martillac Pessac-Leognan 2001 Bordeaux
4th: Champagne Sorbet and coffee

Wow, Denny, I don't know how you managed to survive an ordeal like that. You have my sympathies for the pounds you must have gained at that grueling meal.
If you need help at one of these events, maybe someone to endure the punishment in your stead, I will be happy to make the sacrifice.
