Another Charlie sent me the following and it sure was news to me. I didn't know the Poodle had been in Viet Nam. Why doesn't he make this the centerpiece of his campaign?

Kerry is now running on one issue only:
"YOU!
Mr. & Ms Voter!
If you want someone to go all out after Osama and the true threat to world society, vote for me.
Leave Iraq to Allawi blazes.
If you want YOUR American children in Iran, Syria, perhaps Lebanon, maybe even North Korea, vote for my opponent.
DO IT! Go on record as wanting this."
"I'm rich and insulated, just like my opponent, but YOU, Mr. & Ms Voter, have a BIG decision to make, one that affects YOU & yours far more than me.
And from every side I can conceive of, it's YOU that are going to be affected far more than either of us. Go on record as saying that this is what YOU want by voting for my opponent".
"I'm running on one plank only: I'll get the whole world to help me get Osama. If that's what YOU think is important, then vote for me."
"As you are well-aware, we can talk about any & all and everything else".
"As regards Vietnam: it's over. We lost. Perhaps because of my actions, perhaps because of the President's, perhaps because of many things. The fact remains: it's over. The World Trade Center didn't even exist then and the oil-crisis's of the 1970's were not even a blip on anyone's radar then."
"There was no 'Pill' then, so abortion was a different issue. And the Wage-Price controls of the 1972 era were exposed a bit later as being 'wrong' for a capitalistic-society. Tax cuts, gun-control, Arctic-drilling, education, smog: we will talk about it all and I'll listen to you in pretty much the same way that you listen to me. I think that such will be with decency & respect for differing opinion."
"I am running on one issue and one issue only: Osama bin Laden and his Al Qaida organization are the smoke & mud fouling our American aspirations, our national air and world-waters".
"So: Go on Record! VOTE for that which & what you want for your immediate future! Do NOT think small nor secular! Do not second guess yourself & do not think poorly of your choice! As was said ten thousand times over each of ten thousands of years: 'As YOU sow, so shall YOU reap'! You have seen what has been sewn for the last 4 years; Shall we now throw in the towel & grimly reap? Or shall we buy 4 new years?"
"Vote Kerry/Edwards if you want a chance for un-expected outcomes & possible-blessings over the next 4 years; Vote Bush/Cheney if you want a predictable more of the same as the last 4 years."
"Regardless of how you receive this, VOTE!"

Ted looks like he needs a drink; his gin blossoms are decreasing in size and number.
