Last night I went to Michael and Cindy's for my birthday dinner. Every year she knits me a sweater for my birthday. Here's a picture of the one she knitted this year.
Purty ain't it?
Not bad. Last year's was a bit sexier, I think! Still, wish I had such a friend.
Posted by: Indigo on October 31, 2004 05:51 PMI'd say that was some mighty fine knittin'!! I'm lucky to get a button sewed on a shirt! *well, maybe not that bad, but I still can't knit!*
Posted by: Michele on October 31, 2004 06:49 PMWith talent like that, tell her there is a market for such quality apparel!
Posted by: daniel on October 31, 2004 07:23 PMAnd, btw, I've been meaning to bring this up since you started posting pics of yourself recently: you don't look grouchy, or old, or crippled (except for the pic with the crutches, but how do I know they weren't just a prop?).
Which brings me to my point - I am a victim, duped into following your blog by its blatanly misleading title. Surely there's a special class to which I now belong which entitles me to some privileges. "Deceived Blog Followers of America"?
Perhaps I should ask MeowMix, or Robin, or Matthew G - is he still around? Maybe the folks at the Rainbow Coalition would welcome me into their fold. Hmmmm. Can I have back the absentee ballot I cast?
Posted by: daniel on October 31, 2004 07:29 PMWho said what to you that caused such a ruddy-good-health SMILIN' picture? You are fortunate indeed to have such a nice sweater .. and fortunate MORE to have someone who loves you so!
Happy-Sunday-Birthday-Dinner!
With such a countenance, I'll not think of you so much as GOC but BHG (Beamin' Happy Guy). ENJOY! You deserve.
Posted by: Dan S on October 31, 2004 07:49 PMClassic norski design. Nice!
Posted by: Jack on October 31, 2004 08:36 PMI'm guessing, Denny, that you're more free to post personal pics now that you're no longer an employee of TCIDNNY(yet). Now it just proves that you won't hide like all the liberals do. ;)
Posted by: Reiggin on October 31, 2004 10:17 PMHer sweaters just get cooler and cooler each time!
*sigh* Can she knit 'em for toddlers? Zane would look so good in one of her designs...

Posted by: david on November 1, 2004 12:06 AMVery nice sweater. Wish I could do one that well.
And you're not bad looking for an old grouch.

Great sweater--I'm jealous! Gotta see if The Little Woman (who's taller than I) can whip one up for me.
And yeah, what's with this false advertising? You don't *look* grouchy. Quick--somebody file a Federal lawsuit!
Posted by: Squidley on November 3, 2004 01:07 AMI respectfully request a picture of you in your BMW.
Posted by: AnnaB on November 3, 2004 01:42 PMLast year's was better. But this one is nice.
