Everything went OK on Thanksgiving. Politics was not discussed. The food was great and a good time was had by all.
Right before I left TCIDNN (The Company I Dare Not Name) my team lead took me out to lunch and gave me a card worth $100 at Houstons, a restaurant chain in Atlanta. He had taken up a collection from my coworkers. Wednesday night I took my sister, her husband, and my friend Cindy out to eat at Houstons and used the card.
We went back to Cindy's afterwards and I remarked that we might have a problem next Monday since we were gonna take Ashley (one of my cats) in to have her teeth cleaned and I had to go to the doctor for a prescreening for a colonoscopy. It turned out that I have a severe case of CRS (Can't Remember Shit) syndrome. My prescreening was last Monday and Ashley's teeth cleaning is this Tuesday. It really sucks getting old!
So today, I had my sister nagging me to get my prescreening rescheduled. She's sweating it because cancer runs in my family. Also she doesn't want me to die because then she would have to go through all my crap. I am a slob.
I was actually able to get the prescreening rescheduled for two weeks from Monday. I even have a note about it on my refrigerator.
Speaking of my refirgerator, my sister cleaned that for me today. Now it's good for another six years. She also cleaned up beneath my kitchen sink.
I had Thanksgiving leftovers tonight with a half bottle of Zinfandel. Leftovers sure taste better heated with a microwave as opposed to an oven.
My sister and her husband made it back to Columbia OK.
Needless to say, I am in too mellow of a mood to do any serious ranting so I'm gonna close now and see if I can find anything suitable for Saturday Boobage.
