...Or if you applied the above to my State, the picture on the right is Travis County. The picture on the left is the rest of Central Texas.

(Unsurprisingly, most of the counties that touch the Mexican border were also shades of blue...)

My State (New Mexico) is one of the few that went from blue to red. But it's just the opposite here. The countys that are along the mexican border are red. We are the same though with the central countys (where Albuquerque and Santa Fe are) being blue.

lets see give the midwest and eastern blues plus the upper northwest to canada and give california back to mexico --- one big red country left. true we lose the west coast ports and most of the great lakes but its worth the price.

Ivan, you can give the midwest as long as you keep Indiana here in the US. :) Then you'd still have steel mills, lake michigan and the pacers to kick the hell out of new canada pistons! :)
