Listen Up!

Geez! I had to deal with another booger eatin' moh-ron troll who accused me of not being fair. I wish these assholes would read The Rules. This site is not a democracy. It is not fair. I pay for the web space. I pay for the bandwidth. If you have problems with that, start your own web site.

My opinions are almost always right. Why? Because I say so. My site. My rules.

If I say a comment thread is finished. It is finished. My site. My rules.

I enforce Godwin's Law. If you call someone a Nazi, you lose the argument. My site. My rules.

If you're gonna insult me try to make it original and amusing. You sure are stupid is lame. If you amuse me I'll let you stay. I run this site for my amusement and pleasure not for incredibly stupid trolls.

If you call me a bible thumper it shows that you are an idiot since I have stated many times on this site that I am an atheist. Read my stuff before making stupid assumptions about my beliefs. Better yet, read the FAQ.

France sucks! That's not an opinion. That's a fact. Why? Because I say so. My site. My rules.

If you think France has a better economy than the United States prove it with links to back it up. I have some awesome fact checkers who read this site.

France had a 4th quarter 2004 growth rate of .8%. that might be good for France but for the United States that would suck. Where did I get that? Google France GDP. France has an unemployment rate of close to 10%. The United States' unemployment rate is 5.4%. Which economy is better?

I've traveled all over the world. We drink bottled water here because we want to, not because we have to. Everywhere in this country, tap water is safe to drink. Not so in much of Europe.

We bathe regularly in the United States unlike some people in a country that starts with the letter F.

Our aircraft carriers can leave port.

We actually win wars.

Surrender is a French word. from Old French surrendre : sur-, sur- + rendre, to deliver; see render.]

Now I'm tired. I have to pack so I can get an early start tomorrow. I'm driving up to South Carolina to go shooting with my nephew, who is on leave, and his father. His unit just left Iraq and is back in Germany.

By the way, France sucks and is populated by a bunch of pussies. That is not an opinion. That is a fact.

"another booger eatin' moh-ron troll"

That's like Sam Malone telling Woody he's 'adroit'.

"Awww, Sam! You didn't have to call me a DROIT!"

Play by Denny's 'rules' or suffer the velvet hammer of his wrath. Better yet, do not subscribe to such and watch him REALLY go off!

If you are new here, he will perhaps scare you; if you hang around awhile, you'll understand his imperium ways.

Most of all, you'll see he makes a modicum of sense.

Denny (as I understand him, sez):
*abortion sucks
*most trolls are queer
*Gum-mint scholls turn out Gum-mint scholars.
*A gook dead in Iraq is better than a live towel-head in SC anyday
*OK, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt, but you had better have FACTS backing up what YOU say
*Clinton ain't the Christ & Bush II ain't the Devil. And Vice-Versa.

And MOST OF ALL, as I understand him, Denny sez:

'I'M THE ONE HOSTING THIS HOSTEL' so show a little respect!

If you can't take ownership of the ideas listed above, perhaps you ought to make google.com your first-read daily.

That way, you can always find something you can agree with. And you'll never find your core-beliefs challenged.

Another booger eatin' moh-ron troll checks in.

I realize that Englissh has become a common language and none wants to speack French anymore except people in France. I sucks living in a county full of pussies.

I'm not here to convince anyone because I can't. France does suck. I'm sorry I was born in that smelly country. And I read this French bashing subject and so on..
I mean, the arguments used are so brilliant I just can't help replying that denny is correct on everything.

This guy is dangerous: he's smart and makes a lot of sence. I am a fascist. Here in Europe we are numerous to think that USA is the only coutry yslowly going to a fascist system. I don't really know what that means and I m too lazy to look up definition of fascist in dictionary. We are going communist. But looking at this site, which is close to Bush visions, I got this feeling we're wrong: Appeasement doesn't work.ld, against other, scared of the future (the arguments about the US economy vs France's one developped by Denny is also true. USA has best economy in the world. Everyone knows that except for pathetic losers like France people.

Fascism - A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.

Time for an education well well.

1. In four years we will elect a new president and our current "dictator" will step down. We are not a dictatorship.

2.We do not have stringent economic controls. We have the freest economy in the world.

3. We do not have censorship. The press was overwhelmingly against Bush in the last election. That's why a dipshit like Kerry almost got elected. We do not have a state owned or state run press.

4. We are not a racist nation. And we certainly don't allow the rampant anti-semitism you have in France. In spite of the fact that Arabs were behind 9/11 there have been almost no actions against mosques. More synagogues have been defaced in France than mosques in the United States.

5. We do believe in nationalism. Ours. We were attacked 9/11/2001. We vowed it would not happen again. So far, it hasn't.

Before spouting the talking points of leftists in Europe actually try to find out what words like fascist, dictator, and nazi actually mean. Also read some history.

You are coming off as stupid and uninformed. I am willing to debate things on this site, but only with someone who actually knows what he is talking about. I refuse to have a battle of wits with someone who is not armed.

Before posting again read the rules of this site. If you are polite and can present a cogent argument we can have a debate. If you want to debate on the French evconomy versus the American economy try using facts with links to back up the facts. If you want to insult me, make the insult creative and amusing.

Don't try to show your superiority by posting in French. English has become the lingua franca of the world. History has passed your language by.

If you continue with bullshit, I will continue with Whack a Troll.

Denny, I don't mean to quibble, but...

According to the 2003 index of Economic Freedom as published by the Heritage Foundation, America is #7, though the scores are really tight in the top 10. France, of course, is #42. My point being that America is not the most free economy, just darn close, and a whole lot more free than France. So I support you but disagree.

> As America failures? If yes which one ?

Posted by: ho! on March 10, 2005 03:43 PM

and .. about the health care..

could u read this one Denny?

"THE U.S. RANKS ONLY 37TH IN QUALITY HEALTH CARE

"The United States spends more per person on health care than any other country, yet in overall quality its care ranks 37th in the world," says a World Health Organization analysis. It concluded that France provides the globe's best health care, with Italy ranked 2nd. Japan won the distinction as having the world's healthiest people. 'While good at expensive, heroic care, Americans are poor at the low-cost preventive care that keeps Europeans healthy,' said Princeton University health economist Uwe Reinhardt. Measuring how long people live in good health - - not just how long they live - - the Japanese beat Americans by 4 ˝ years - - yet Japan spends just $1,750 per person on health and France $2,100, compared to the stunning $3,724 spent by the U.S. The report said it doesn't endorse government-run insurance only, as countries with good mixes of private and public programs due well.

Of the 191-country ranking, here are the top 50:

* Top 10 quality care nations: France, Italy, San Marino, Andorra, Malta, Singapore, Spain, Oman, Austria, Japan.
* 2nd 10: Norway, Portugal, Monaco, Greece, Iceland, Luxembourg, Netherlands, England, Ireland, Switzerland.
* 3rd 10: Belgium, Columbia, Sweden, Cyprus, German, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Morocco, Canada.
* 4th ten: Finland, Australia, Chile, Denmark, Dominica, Costa Rica, United States, Slovenia, Cuba, Brunei.
* 5th ten: New Zealand, Bahrain, Crotia, Qatar, Kuwait, Barbados, Thailand, Czech Republic, Malaysia, Poland.

another one:

"I'm in high school & am doing a paper on France vs the US. We've had class discussions about how the US system is so much better & that France is in horrible trouble because of their shorter work days, vacation time, their pension & health care systems, their schools & how they've gone so far into debt to provide these social programs for the French people.

I was there & the family I stayed with was just about equal in every way to my own, but they seemed so much better off & so much happier. I saw no homelessness there. I didn't see people scavaging in garbage cans for anything to recycle, like I do here. Everyone was much less unhappy with the medical care there than here & everyone had access.

I brought this up & then was told that's because they don't have to have such a big military like the US does. Somehow that doesn't cut it.

What I want to know is are the French living on a balloon, while we in the US aren't? How much national debt per person does each French citizen carry vs the US. I've read that here if you divided up the national debt per person it would be $17,000 for every man, woman, & child... not counting the state & local debts.

I can't find any websites that tell me anything in a way that I can understand it. I'm not a Harvard MBA. I'm a Junior in High School.

Thanx... mlg

If your health care is so good, why did all those people die of heat stroke in 2003? But you did provide a link, so I will give you that. Ranking Canada ahead of the United States, belies the fact that there are incredibly long waiting periods in Canada for what are routine procedures in the United States. That is why Canadians routinely come to the United States for procedures like hip replacements. I'm sure some of our life expectancy figures are skewed by violence caused by our insane war on drugs. That has nothing to do with health care and all to do with social policy. And no, gun control is not the answer.

If I had to choose where to go for a heart transplant, it certainly would not be France. I'm also glad that I had my back operation and my rehab in the United States as it is much more of a cripple friendly place than anywhere I have been in Europe.

Congratulations. You played by the rules. See how easy that was?

help yourself it comes from a suiss site (serious):

Health and Social Security
Life expectancy for men (in years)
France:75,8 ,USA: 74,1
Life expectancy for women (in years)
France: 83,0 USA:79,7
Infant mortality rate (per 1000 births)
France: 3,9 USA: 7,0
Hospital bed capacity (per 100,000 inhab.) France: 820,6 USA: 362,1
Healthcare costs (in % of GDP)
France: 9,5 USA 13,0

Economy and Public Finances
Exports per inhabitant (in USD)
2001 France: 4959 USA: 2556
Per capita GDP (in USD, adjusted for PPP)
2002 France: 27'300 USA: 36'200
Average annual growth rate in real GDP (since 1990) 2002 France: 1,8 USA: 3,0

So... For France: we did our choice.
But please, stop consider us as a country against everybody (don't trust too much ur orientated media: read things from other media: learn foreign langages as an ex!: keep ur brain critic..)
We live in Europe, we build Europe as an entity (it's not easy , believe me!): Consider France as a part of Europe now.. economically talking of course! ;)

Posted by: well well on March 10, 2005 04:47 PM

Per capita GDP (in USD, adjusted for PPP)
2002 France: 27'300 USA: 36'200

Those are the numbers that really matter. US leads. Where are the unemployment figures? Yes you have a 35 hour work week and lots of paid vacation and sick leave. You pay for that with a high unemployment rate. An employer is not gonna hire someone with all those benefits and then have to carry that person during a downturn. Hence your rate of 10%.

There is no such thing as "free" health care. It is paid for one way or another TANSTAAFL (There ain't no such thing as a free lunch). You are about to have the same problems that we will be facing with our Social Security system only you will have a worse problem.

Why should we watch foreign films? The world loves our films better than yours. I will admit that La Femme Nikita was much better than our remake Point of No Return.

Please send me lots of French readers. I will have fun with them also. Plus it will up my hit counter.

mimi gleason - You're right. While we were protecting Europe during the Cold War, they were spending their money on lavish social programs. Since they have a negative birth rate, they have to depend on immigrants to replenish their workers. Unfortunately, most of these immigrants are from Muslim countries and are not assimilating. We have the same problems with immigrants from Latin America, but they assimilate more readily than Muslims. The Europeans are facing a demographic time bomb. Well well is either unaware of this or will not admit it.

France, Germany, and the United States are all living on a debt balloon. I believe that since we have better growth than both countries (and also higher productivity) we can better weather the storm. We only have to worry about Social Security and Medicare (which are both major problems that the Dimocrats refuse to acknowledge) France and Germany have to worry about their entire socialist welfare state.

Come back in five years well well and we'll compare economies again. BTW, you better hope that we maintain our negative BoT deficit because that means that we're buying more goods from you guys than we're selling. Also, when the United States goes into a recession we drag the rest of the world down with us. We are the engine that drives the world economy. Your gummint would love to have our GDP, unemployment, and growth rate.

Posted by: denny on March 10, 2005 05:24 PM

Of course i can play the rule.. but even if it's your own web site, so play them!
I just want to point that your hate against French people doesn't mean anything: there are bad guys, there are goods.. same as in USA.
Our politician that lead us at the moment don't represent France in its diversity, same as USA.. or wherever in the world.
And about the "washing things" and perfume: u talk about something that was maybe right 60 yrs ago (after ww2).
Perfume is part of the culture: we believe that its a part of ur identity, like dress, haircut and stuff like that.
Smelling someone will tell a lot about him (and no we are not animals.. or maybe). Personally mine is Guerlain Heritage. For u it means nothing, for French , it's a part of ur "ID card". Don't have any judgement on it!
I travel a lot and i can tell u the same amount of people smells like hell. Wherever they are! USA.. Germany, China or Africa (where I lived 10 yrs: North Africa and Senagal, Ivory Coast).
So, don't u think ur French bashing is weird and insane,
We surrender?: we were at the first Gulf War, in Bosnia, even giving help after Tsunami.. We are in Afghanistan (detail: as spy also, sorry but about the Muslims, as we really know them well, we are the best: American Army said).
Your war, we didn't want it. So what? 'cause we are "chicken"-as u like to say? No: because we didin't think this war was right (otherwise, what about North Korea which is much more dangerous: at least they got WMD that didin't have Saddam)?
War was about oil: we don't depend as much as u of it.
u were stricking terrorist so did we for many yrs. We have no result? Yes we have (no more bombing for many yrs). We don't have the same history. Muslims are since we had colonies a part of our history: u just discover them..
When America do something we think is wrong: Don't we have the right to disagree ? Do we have to be on our knees when america says something, we should say "amen"? The way u saw it comes from ur media (at the time afetr 09/11, i can understand it). Should better read other sources of info..
World doesn't seems but it's big and various: there's not only one way of hinking and even if u're our friend, we have the RIGHT to disagree.
About culture: we "fight" for a protected culture. It's a business but deeply, a culture owes to its country. When one is to "commercially talking" heavy, we got to protect local cultures (and not only French one). Why?: cause I like to see a Korean, German, Danish, Italian, Palestinian, Israelian or whatever movie when i go to the cinema: I want to have the .. choice. Is it the same in USA (over protected)? It's not because i want to fuck off the American culture. Just control the excess of liberal market. (as u do in many economic pole: labour, culture, siderurgie...)
Whatever u think, we still keep on living in Europe. hoo!! not like US citizens. But we don't want to be. We don't need to compare (but me, here , in this forum).
Life in Europe is cool, high rate, economy have hard time, we were 15 countries few months ago, we're 23 now (poor for most of them) and they'll grow. We help countries from old east block to grow: but not by making war..
Of course, if we do this it's for 2 reasons:
peace and expand the domestical market (so we don't have to depend on the dollar anymore: u'll have to fight alone against the Yuang..). You try to do the same with South America..
We like America but it's not anymore our "father" we should thank for ever. Time to have 3 powers: USA-Europe-China.
We all should be scared of China. But u have specially much more than us to lose:
U invested so much overthere that when Dollars fall, it's less interesting for ya to buy stuff from China.. so u fuck yourself your economy. In Europe, Industries still remain in East side (that's why we wanted them) at (still) "cheap" prices: we can live on ourselves for a while, no need anymore of the dollar.
U shouls be aware of this, specially looking to your debt.

So are we friends now ol' pal?

Posted by: well well on March 10, 2005 05:34 PM

Ho! But there are really good films. sorry that ur only ref is Nikita (Luc Besson). Which is actually a good film.
Too bad for your "open-mindness"..
No comment about:
"Why should we watch foreign films? The world loves our films better than yours. I will admit that La Femme Nikita was much better than our remake Point of No Return."
So u react like an arrogant "conqueror"? Should be deceipt by looking at the entries of US films in Europe . Will try to find it..
And why Americans ask europeans maker to make their films (yeah yeah, to promote their filmsin.. europe. USA genuine quality is not enough anymore..)? Why is the US movie industry owned by foreign compagny (Sony as an ex?) is it was so healthy?
u told it all on what u r..and don't know what u miss.

:)

The results show that Americans do live longer.

No. I like it as a all.
But it's interesting to read u and see.. which of us is the racist...

Posted by: ouele ouele on March 11, 2005 05:37 PM

ouele,
I'm not racist, just pointing out FACTS. The United States has a very mixed racial pool. When the stats of African American men is compared to natives in Africa, the diffrence is much greater. Because of the limited medical care available in most of Africa, it is not in any way fair to make a comparison. Take the congo for instance, 49.14 average life expectancy. Some of the Arab nations are even worse. As I said, compare apples to apples. Men of European descent vs men of European descent. nothing racist about it.

Actually, I guess I don't hate the French as much as I feel sorry for them. You're a second rate country that history has passed by. The ridiculous urge you have to keep your language "pure" is a sign of an inferiority complex. We Americans believe that our version of English is a lively evolving language. We happily take words from other languages (even French) and add them to our vocabulary. And yes, I know that English came from French and German. We believe in evolving and growing. We look forward. You French look backward to your glory years that are gone forever. So sad. Too bad.

Well Well - Did I miss sumpin? I checked out the link on anti-semitism in France. My contention was there is more anti-semitism in France than there is anti-Muslim stuff in the United States. Incidents of mosque defacing or burnings are next to nothing. They can be counted on the fingers of one hand. In France, on the other hand, there is rampant anti-semitism as is supported by the article you cited. In the future try to find an article that supports your contention rather than rebuts it.
BTW, where are all those French readers you promised me?
