Let 'Em Starve

Whom am I talking about? Africa, of course.

I guess all those rich rock stars feel real good about themselves giving those concerts to heighten Africa awareness. I'm aware enough of Africa, thank you. It is a canker sore on the planet. So now, to solve the problem, we're supposed to throw even more money into this sewer. Yeah. That will fix it.

Note to Bono and Geldorf: You don't solve poverty by giving poor nations (or poor people) money. All you do by giving corrupt regimes money is subsidize the corruption. Africa is riddled with corrupt thugocracies and all the money goes into the head thugs' bank accounts.

We have a prime example of what is wrong with Africa in Zimbabwe. Mugabe decided to implement his idea of Afro-socialism. He took a nation that was one of the richest countries in Africa, a net exporter of food, and turned it into a basket case that now must buy food from other countries. Yeah. Let's give Zimbabwe money.

What about forgiving the debts? Great. If we do that we should not loan them any more money because then we'll have to forgive those debts in the future.

You wanna know what will fix Africa? Colonialism. Yeah. Like that is gonna happen. So that's off the table. What else?

Dear Africa: Take a look at our Declaration of Independence (it is our birthday today) and our Constitution. Don't forget The Bill of Rights.

Compare our Constitution to that monstrosity that the EUnuchs wrote. Ours is relatively short and to the point. Our Bill of Rights guarantees certain freedoms (that assholes in Congress on both sides of the aisle and the Supreme Court are slowly trying to take away).

When raising children do we try to explain the value of money before giving them any. My parents did. I was given an allowance. To supplement my allowance I did work like mowing lawns, raking leaves, shovelling snow, cleaning gutters, and babysitting. I had to live within my means.

Dependent states (and dependent people) are just like children. They need to be taught. Poor people need to be taught personal responsibility rather than dependence on gummint. Dimocrats love dependent people because they vote for Dimocrats. Dimocrats don't believe in personal responsibility.

As an aside, where is the most poverty and dependence on gummint located? In the big cities. Where is the worst crime? In the big cities. Where are the worst schools? In the big cities. Who runs the big cities? Dimocrats. I rest my case.

Money given to dependent states must have strings attached. Before we give them any money the gummints must reform. They need not only economic freedom, but also political freedom. Once again, Zimbabwe is a classic example of what not to do. It is my opinion that South Africa will be the next Zimbabwe.

But Bono and Geldorf can quit feeling guilty about their wealth if they can talk a bunch of countries into giving money to Africa. We'll throw more money, with no strings attached, down that shithole known as Africa, but Bono, Geldorf, and the other rich rock stars won't feel as quilty about all their riches. They'll feel good about themselves and Africa will continue to be a sewer.

Count on it.

You're right, of course. The term for what your thought pattern ultimately leads to is Social Darwinism. The local American proof of your logic is our welfare system, which has thrown money and favoritism toward no-loads and low-lifes with absolutely stunning results.

If we take your advice, though, while we're at it we should terminate all US aid to about 99% of the world's nations, starting with Egypt, Pakistan, India, Morocco, Algeria, Turkey, Tunisia, Libya, Israel, Palestine, and on and on and on. Same goes for the UN -- stop the influx of dollars and the place will become surprisingly less corrupt and bloated in about 2 months.

Talk about balancing the budget -- hell, we could fund the Iraq/Afghan projects and still show a surplus in only a few years.

Fuckem, all they do is sleep, eat and fuck. Keep our money home, so we can do the same thing, Cat

What they need over ther is a mass sterilization program so they stop producing more children. All they do is eat, sleep and fuck their brains out.

These other organizations like "Save The Children" and "World Vision" need to get their heads out of their asses and look at what the Government of the home Country does for thier own people.....Fuck all ! Their own governments don't care about their own people ...why sould we ????

Look at South Africa. It was rich and didn't need
help from anyone. Well the bleeding hearts got what they wanted---murder, rape, poverty and their hand out.

Seems to me that the perfect solution to this is to sieze the assets of all the Live 8 performers and redistribute that wealth to Africa. Charity begins at home, people.

BTW, I love what Dubya said aboot the situation. Sure, the American government doesn't give as much as the rock star economists want, but the American people choose to send quite a bit of their pocket money over. Good enough, I say.

On a bright note, at least Pink Floyd got together for a show. That was pretty cool.

You nailed another one, Denny.

Yeah! And Bush wants the world to forgive the Iraqi debt, too!

Bush asks Europe to forgive Iraq debt

I mean', how are those Goddam dependent state parasites supposed to learn the value of money if everything just gets handed to them like a bunch of spoilt children? Screw 'em, I say! Let that sh!thole work it out for themselves.

Seems like Africa has had maybe tens of thousands of years to figure it out. Then a century plus of colonialism to see how it can be done. Has any African group ever actually built a civilization? Did Darwin's Theory mention that in some cases evolution just stops and there is never any further improvement?

The Four Horsemen of the Apocolypse are kept busy on double shift just on the continent of Africa. Maybe the famines, epidemics and wars are Natures way of managing the overbreeding of ineptness, corruption and dysfunction.

And now we are going to pour money into this abyss? For what rationale purpose? Some of this money will come back to us as the regional despots purchase new presidential jets to fly themselves and their entourages to resorts away from the anarchy and misery of the Dark Continent. The rest of the money will buy arms and go into private accounts at the worlds banks.

The silly, vain, self righteous celebs that hammed it up at the Live 8 cluster fuck probably have already forgotten what it was about. Like the original LiveAid 20 years ago put an end to famine in Ethiopia, yeah sure, the concert lasted longer than the famine relief.

Actually when I was reading an account of how Mugabe's armed brigand's,er ,well forces, were terrorizing some of his opposition when they were at church by having a heli gunship hover over,I was thinking Foreign Aid should maybe include a few cases of those RPG's and some Ak's. They wouldn't even have to import them them from North America, just find a good market place over the border and save on shipping.

And as an after thought if done right ,they wouldn't even know the bird had been shot down. I can just imagine the high quality of the maintenece workmanship for a hi-tech rig like a heli,in Zimbabwe.

Now think about this for just one minute, why do you think DDT was banned?.................................................................................................Population control? Birds?....yeah right!
