Guest Rant

So let me get this straight. Key goes over to Sam's to rant. I guess she didn't want to say "fuck" on her blog. It's a rant well worth reading and I concur.

I will call and make my reservations for Helen tomorrow. It is on Cindy's birthday, but Michael will be in Sardinia tasting wines, so we decided to have her birthday on the 8th when Michael will be back from Sardinia and we can celebrate his birthday also. I've got a 1995 Gigondas I just may pop open for the occasion and I might even make an attempt at the crab cheese cake recipe that Christina sent me. Had it at the Palace Cafe in Nawlins and it. was. awesome! Cindy's birthday also starts Cognac season and I have some Delamain Vesper. Be still my beating heart!

Speaking of '95s, I've got a Jereboam of Vieux Telegraph Chateauneuf du Pape that I'm opening for my 25th wedding anniversary in May 2006. I haven't bought a Frog wine since 2003, but I sure as hell didn't pour any out. : )

Marcel - Awesome! Parker rates that a 93. It's drinkable until 2012. You should be glad that you didn't pour it out. If you need any help drinking it, you know where I am. ;D

My Gigondas is only rated 92. 1995 was a great year for Frog reds. I only have three left in my cellar: 2 Bordeaux and the Gigondas.

The Sommelier Guild is having a 1995 tasting in November. Oughta be a good one.

Thanks Denny. And can't wait to see you again!

(BTW, you must not have read my "Pillars of the Fucking Community" post, one of many posts in which I use one of my fave adjectives! Heh...)

Still drinking french wines, still driving german cars... no more angry with the weasels ?

Posted by: Prosper on August 25, 2005 05:27 PM

Yep! Drinking French wines. My BMW 325 is a 1992 that I bought used in 1995 and my Z3 was made in the United States. I bought it in 2001 before the Germans were weasels. I can see you getting on me about the wine, but ragging me about my German cars is just plain silly.

Too hard to stick to this boycot, isn't it ? I tried myself with your products, but Coca-Cola is bottled in Europe... It's time for apeasement, I heard your president is testing our 35h in washington, and the long vacations in Texas. Of course, he takes bath, doesn't eat cheese and was no coward during the Texas war, but we can hope he'll wear a beret soon, don't we ? ;-)
Joke aside, still a pleasure to read your comments and the point of view of a real Fox-American...

Prosper - It's obvious that you get your news from the Commie News Network, BBC, or some other leftwing news source.

1. I never called for a boycott of French products. I wasn't against one either. I figger I should drink your wines until the Muslims take over your country and shut down the wine industry. You are gonna face a real problem in about 10 more years. You will probably have a major terrorist attack within the next two years. That French policy of appeasement worked real well with the Germans didn't it?

2. Reagan worked short days also and all he did was win the Cold War. At that he probably worked harder than Clinton who was busy getting blowjobs from Monica during the day.

3. Vacation? No president is ever on vacation. Nixon went to California where he had a home. Reagan went to his ranch periodically. Remember Reagan? He won the Cold War. Clinton went to Martha's Vineyard where he could hobnob with the liberal elitists. He was more out of touch than Bush since he had to interrupt his vacation to go back to the White House to bomb the aspirin factory in the Sudan and shoot a few goats in Afghanistan. Bush's Crawford ranch is better suited than the houses Clinton stayed at in Martha's Vineyard. This vacation meme is just another way for the LSM to bash the president. He can accomplish just as much in Crawford as he can in DC. And while you're bringing up that 35 hour work week, how's the unemployment situation in France? Still 10%?

4. Coward in Texas War. Dude, do you have a crib sheet? You are hitting all the leftwing, Moveon.org talking points. Clinton was a draft dodger. He was the coward. Bush served. And it takes a lot of balls to fly high performance jets.

5. Fox American. I just love that. There is one network that leans to the right while all the other networks, the AP, and most of the print media leans sharply to the left, but Fox is bad. Fox is more in tune to midddle America as evidenced by the fact that it is destroying all the other cable news networks in ratings. Must be a lot more "Fox Americans" than I. Maybe if you watched Fox, you'd get a more balanced view of what is going on. Nah! Don't want to alter your leftwing mindset.

1. we faced terrorist attacks in the past (and we shared one in beyrouth, if you remmeber). Your racism against muslims sucks. About the germans ? well, French-Bashing is a tradition, i can assume that.

2. just a joke

3. see 2, and about unemployment, why do you care ? French way of life is very different of yours (remember : we do not bath!): americans are good to work and make money, french are good to enjoy life.

4. You're certainly right about Clinton, but i thought about the duel Bush-Kerry.

5. I only read the New York Times on the net, and, since 2003, the New York Post...

and look what i found in wikipedia ('French-Bashing') : a very interesting link : http://www.exile.ru/2003-October-02/war_nerd.html

Sigh. Prosper. I don't know how many times I have to say this. We were very thankful that France helped us in the Revolutionary War. During WWI our soldiers said, "Lafayette, we are here". After WWI the score was even. We are now two up on you. First, we saved your sorry asses in WWII, for which you show no gratitude. Then we rebuilt your country for which you show no gratitude. We were grateful for the Revolutionary war for 150 years. You were never grateful for WWII or the Marshall Plan. Oh yeah, we also saved your sorry asses from the Soviet Union. That makes us three up so stop bringing up the Revolutionary War over and over again.

I'm glad that you are happy and are enjoying life while your economy is going into the toilet. I'm happy and enjoying life in the country with the best economy in the world. I've been to France. I prefer the USA. If I had to live anywhere in Europe it would be Italy. At least they like Americans.

You are being tedious. Run off and spew your bullshit on another site before I start having fun with your comments.
