But of course it was Bush's fault that the citizens of Nawlins elected Mayor Asshole.
What I got a kick out of was Michael Brown telling the congressional committee that it was his fault that he didn't realize how incompetent Mayor Asshole and Governor Useless were and insisting on trying to get control sooner. I call this the Grouchy Old Cripple defense. I once used it on one the instructors that I supported. I apologized to him for his incomptetence and my inability to overcome it and give him proper support. I made the mistake of putting it in an e-mail which he then took to my CDSM©, which marked the beginning of the end of my career at IBM.

If they can't accept a little criticism without being vengeful about it, then they need some serious psychotherapy (a few months in the loony bin). This especially applies to mean-spirited co-workers who set their colleagues up for failure because they can't cut the mustard. What better way to eliminate the competition for that brass ring than to whine to the big bosses about some short-comings you had the courage to point out to them?
