Fun With Google

Michelle sent me an e-mail that went:

Plug French Military Victories into Google and select I'm Feeling Lucky.

Sorry Pierce and Prosper. I just couldn't resist it.

I heard a rumor that the white flag factory in France burned to the ground, thereby crippling all French military action until white flag production could be brought back on-line.

You can shorten it to just "French Military" and get the same result. I guess "French Military" has become synonymous with "failure".
Are there no winning French commanders after Charles "The Hammer" Martel?

Posted by: jwatts on October 7, 2005 11:11 PM

I'm sure that just happens because we here in the good old USA OWN the internet and not those euroweenies :)

Posted by: Ray on October 8, 2005 06:50 AM

Pretty good... here's one for you.

I order a lot of stuff from military surplus sites sometimes. Hey, it's cheap and it works! I bought some hankerchiefs a whle ago. French ones.

It was a 10 pack or something. I think 6 of them were the green (olive drab) kind, and the other 4 were white.

The white ones were bigger. I shit you not.

I read it, it's bullshits. Napoleon conquered all the EU and even more, France conquered several times the whole EU, and we bit the prussians, the 100 years war was won etc... and a lot of wars where you can find some defeats amongst victories.
Denny, anybody could do this kind of paper about a country, you just choose the worse, forget the best and emphasize what's border line.
I hope you knew it already, but maybe you don't want to think so much in this way. Yeah you're sorry, so am I to always see these kind of bullshits. If you realy look to what France realized, (the biggest plane, the fastest one too, new technologies for the fusion reactions control etc ...) you'd be surprised, do you know how many French scientist do you have ? They're amongst the most efficient, but you buy them with money. I can't remeber of any USA native genious. You still pick the good in EU, you are full of money, but here in EU, you're not seen as the best, you just use your money to win.
Now I'll do the same on the USA that you did to France :

-Didn't you lost the Vietnam ? lol it was a small country though.

-independant war, you won because the French helped you.

- you too you fought against yourselves and won basicaly because the oponent was american .

-You did pussies in WWII and didn't help EU till it smelled realy bad for your ass.

-You were so coward and afraid of a decent fight with Japan that you needed to use the A bomb and killed thousands of women and children.

- You muredered all Indians with desases because even without bullets they were better at war than you.

I'm sure I could continue longer, and your history is younger than ours. I just want to show you how easy it is. You can do this against any country in the world.

This is stupid bashing, what you do with France is colse to what you call trolling.

Yep, I guess the French won more battles than the USA, although they also had more defeats, we simply did war longer than you.

Posted by: Pierce on October 10, 2005 04:11 AM

Pierce, why do you bother speaking to those bastards ? You're loosing your time.

Posted by: Bunch-of-fools on October 10, 2005 04:21 AM

BOF, first they are not bastards, they just disagree sometimes.
Secondly I'm not wasting my time but YOU are wasting my time.

Now go trolling elsewhere damn asshole.

Posted by: Pierce on October 10, 2005 04:25 AM

did you look at the address when you get the result :

http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/text/victories.html

it's not a google page, a guy made this. we should do the same with usa.

so the result is simply bullshits from the beginning to the end.

I've got a good one for you denny,

type : miserable failure, in google

Sorry, I just couldn't resist it.

Posted by: John on October 10, 2005 07:01 AM

Always new Google was awesome :-)

ps pierce forgot WATERLOO

and you forgot to mention that you always were kicked out again after one of those victories.

Most of the fightin in those countries was done by the legionnaires, whom mostly where non french fighters.

Posted by: amnotfrench on October 10, 2005 09:42 AM

It's obvious that you're not french. The French Foreign Legion was created by Louis Philippe, then King of France, on March 10, 1831.

and you forgot to mention that you always were kicked out again after one of those victories.

of course, otherwise all europe would be speaking french by now... History teach us that you can never stay by force in a country... Algeria, Indochina, Vietnam, Lebanon, Irak...

Posted by: Prosper on October 10, 2005 10:35 AM

John - LOL. Now that was funny.
Amber - Too true. I was proud of my mother because she could set the VCR clock when she was in her 80's. She was the only one of her friends who could actually record programs on her VCR. Everyone else used it to play movies from Blockbuster.

Posted by: Denny on October 10, 2005 03:32 PM

" History teach us that you can never stay by force in a country."

I think William, the Duke of Normandy would disagree with you there, Prosper. Study what happened to the Byzantine Empire as well.
History is replete with examples of permanent annexation of territory by force.

Posted by: Yosemite Sam on October 11, 2005 02:47 PM

Just two points this evening...

"-Didn't you lost the Vietnam ? lol it was a small country though."

Only after the french lost it first...

And finally, am I the only one to notice that in that entire list of "french victories" there isn't a single one after 1814?

Posted by: Radioactive Monk on October 11, 2005 07:10 PM

poor Radiocative Monk, PIerce picked just a bunch of battles... Last time we kicked officially some ass was last year in Ivory Coast. But no need to be very proud of that, it's like US Army against rebels in Irak...
You want a war ? Open your book, or because it may be too hard for you, click here : http://www.war1418.com/battleverdun/

You will learn about The Battle of Verdun, that is considered the greatest and lengthiest in world history. Two of my grand-grand-fathers were wounded there. It was very different of carpet-bombing iraki civilians.

Posted by: Prosper on October 12, 2005 03:19 AM

yep the battle of Verdun, 2 enemies of the same strength and 700000 casualties, we won this time. They didn't have all their tanks and planes as they did later in the Blitz Krieg.
The Blitz Krieg was possible after, in 1939, because the French didn' make enough weapons, and the German had the most powerful army, more powerful than the USA army. Hopefully, the USA made weapons from 1939 till they were attacked in Pearl Harbord and so when the USA counter attacked, their army was the biggest.

We French are pussies. We have no balls. We envy strong usa.

Posted by: meandyou on October 12, 2005 11:20 AM

"It was very different of carpet-bombing iraki civilians."

You have the US confused with Insurgents I believe. In fact they aren't even IRAQI insurgents! I'm just wondering, where is your anger for all of the civilians being killed by these foreign infiltrators??? Guess that's ok, huh?
That's exactly what the US does, purposely carpet bombs civilians. You have got to be kidding me. Hey if you believe that's what we set out to do, I have big tower in Paris I'd like to sell you. Dirt cheap.
