Henry sent me this link to an AP article about my Congresscritter Cynthia McCommie.
Rep. Cynthia McKinney must pay a $33,000 fine and reimburse as much as $72,000 to political donors after accepting excessive contributions in the 2002 election, the Federal Election Commission said Friday. The fine alone exceeds the total amount in the Georgia Democrat's campaign account through Sept. 30. It was part of a conciliation agreement between McKinney and the FEC.
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Busted, bitch!
Posted by denny at October 30, 2005 10:07 PMI can agree with the fine, but giving the money back is just plain stupid. It whould be forfeited.
Posted by: Jeremy on October 30, 2005 11:05 PMImagine if she were a conservative republican rather than an extremely stupid/ignorant liberal/commie. Think the NY Times and Washington Post would have "missed" this story?
Posted by: Rob Cooper on October 30, 2005 11:42 PMI LOVE news like this! You named her right on target too "Congresscritter Cynthia McCommie".
Posted by: Wild Thing on October 31, 2005 10:30 AMI am SO glad that I'm not in her district anymore. What an embassasment. You have to wonder about the people who support her and her crack-pot father.
Posted by: bill on October 31, 2005 10:42 AMbill - I don't have to wonder. The people who support her are either wards of the gummint, lefty liberals at Emory University (the Emoroids), and black folks who will vote for any Dimocrat no matter how insane he or she may be.
After the next election I won't be in her district either. Hooray!
Posted by: Denny on October 31, 2005 11:52 AMha. so your just ignoring the fact that the bush government is in one almighty mess after the happenings of last week, with the vp's principal advisor losing his job?
Posted by: matthew g on October 31, 2005 02:26 PMMatthew - After two years of investigating, all they could do is indict one person in the Bush administration for lying to a grand jury. Remember, this investigation started out trying to find out who outed Valerie Plame. No charges were filed against anyone for that. Also, Libby was indicted. In this country you are innocent until proven guilty. He still has to go to trial or do a plea bargain. The Dimocrats and the LSM are making a mountain out of a molehill.
Posted by: Denny on October 31, 2005 02:51 PMDenny:
I heard something right before the election.. Something to the effect of only 1% of her [McKinney] campaign donations were from people *in* her district. Something like 50% were from NYC. (I've looked online, briefly, but couldn't find the most recent info).
" so your just ignoring the fact that the bush government is in one almighty mess after the happenings of last week, with the vp's principal advisor losing his job?"
Matthew - the only "Mess" from last week was the Miers nomination. Since rectified and fixed.
More positively to me, is the more Wilson gets mentioned, the more the press is having to face the fact he lied his ass off to them to discredit Bush. If we can keep Libby in the news, hell, we might actually get people asking what in the hell it would take to lose a CIA job after the nepotism and reporting false information to discredit the country they're supposedly working for.
