Here's a screed my sister sent me. I bet Rob will love this one.
And then Charles sent me this one.
President Bush has authorized the Joint Chiefs to begin drawing up a battle plan to pull France out of the fire again. Facing an apparent overwhelming force of up to 400 pissed off teenagers Mr. Bush doubts France's ability to hold off the little piss-ants. "If the last two world wars are any indication, I would expect France to surrender any day now", said Bush.
Joint Chiefs head, Gen. Peter Pace, warned the President that it might be necessary to send up to 5 marines to get things under control. The general admitted that 5 marines may be overkill but he wanted to get this thing under control within 24 hours of arriving on scene. He stated he was having a hard time finding even one marine to volunteer to help the ungrateful French out for a third time but thought that he could persuade a few women marines to do the job before they went on pregnancy leave.
President Bush asked Gen. Pace to get our marines out of there as soon as possible after order was restored. He also reminded Gen. Pace to make sure the marines did not take soap, razors, or deodorant with them. The less they stand out the better.
Sorry Pierce. Sometimes I just can't help myself. Oh, and here's an interesting site

Maybe the Boy Scouts could make saving the French a Merit badge, and we could send over Troop 7332 from Iowa City, Iowa to quash the violence and restore order. While over there they could teach the French Army the basics of self-defense...
Posted by: Rob Cooper on November 9, 2005 07:11 PMDenny, it weould take more than five Marines to accomplish the mission,
Two to scout drinking holes,
Two to scout food,
Two to scope the whore houses,
An officer,
An NCO,
And some poor schmuck to handle the killing.
Don't get my comments wrong anyone, I was never a Marine, I did my time Army. My family has Two ex Navy, three ex Army, three ex Air Force, and four Marines.
Posted by: Jeremy on November 9, 2005 08:20 PMThank your sister...
IWF is great site and INK WELL is a good read...
Obviously, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree in your family...savvy, intelligent siblings.
Do 'ya think Bush and his boys are snickering just a little about problems in France?

For those who fight for it, freedom has a Taste the protected will never know.
Posted by: Danny Chicago on November 10, 2005 02:30 AMyou're so right, I don't understand why they can't hold these 400 teenagers. The burners are only 400. And they are 15 years old. I know people in these suburns : everybody is angry 'cause the police don't protect their car against young - gangs.
That's not a revolution but a gang contest shit.
In fact most of the French are thinking CRS should stop watching and start shooting.
But they can't because of leftist laws ... I wonder how many times it will take before we realy do something else than watching ?!!
Posted by: Pierce on November 10, 2005 04:15 AMThey burn schools, it's obviously not an adult behaviour, only kids want to burn their school, adults don't care about schools.
I think Islam is dangerous because it gives those kids the feeling they have the right to disrespect the non-musulism. And so they can burn cars without any regret!
And if they grow up with this idea, it could become anoying in some years ...
We are bringing the non-french musulism back to their country. And the French rioters are sent to prison.
But still, it's not enough, we should crush them and solve the problem quickly.
They don't act because they are afraid that if a young die, politicians would loose too many votes ...
Again it's the lefty spirit who paralize the country. pffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
Pierce,
This is not a french problem that is spreading to other countries, Its an arabian problem that has spread to the world. Look at Mohammed atta, and OBL, both were from rich well to do families.
The only thing I fault the French for is not shooting these punks from the word go. That part is a French problem.
The rest is all muslim. Look at Bali, and jakarta, and what all has happened there. They are now attacking Jordan, a Muslim country, Egypt, as well as their attacks on US troops.
Has France still got troops in Bosnia and Afghanistan? If so, that would be all the excuse those ragheads need.
We'll send France back some old Cajuns to trap these mosque-rats.
Posted by: Glenmore on November 10, 2005 08:22 AMI'm not sure of what was the best to do : shoot at them for example, or appease the conflict as we did. I know what would have been the american solution, and maybe it would have been for the best. If this young people really don't care of france, if they are manipulated by Imams, it was like a terrorist attack and we should have quell it in blood. But if it was a real social unrest, our respons was the right one.
And when i read Pierce speaking of lefty spirit in a France ruled by Chirac and Sarkosy, i can assure you he has already crossed the Atlantic in mind !
;-)
"And if they grow up with this idea, it could become anoying in some years ..."
More than annoying Pierce. They are breeding brain dead suicide bombers. This is only the beginning. Wait until countries out there REALLY start fighting back. Not only will Muslims scream bloody murder they will also incite much bigger riots and get the ball rolling full speed for WWIV. That's when confusion will reign and it's going to be chaos in every sense of the word. This should have been done years ago but they need to be put down and hard. Show them that the violence they do to non-muslims( beheading, bombings, riots, etc..) is not even close to what we can do to them. I wish I could remember the senator or govenors' name who said we should threaten to bomb Mecca in retaliation for another attack. Hell, I say we act premptively and do it now. Stomp them down now and make them think twice about their cowardly terrorist acts.
Posted by: Eric(TNG) on November 10, 2005 09:12 AMYesterday, it was angry Muslims who attempted to blow up several hotels in Jordan.
In France, 400 (who counted?) brainwashed teenagers are burning cars, buses and buildings. What will they do when they grow up?
I can't see minimizing the situation in France because the rioters are "teenagers"...they are behaving criminally and destroying property.
The Islamic fundamentalists around the world surely enjoy watching these kids cause anarchy.
Pierce says the "teenagers" are burning the poor part of town, so what does it matter. It does matter when part of your countries income comes from tourism.
Eric(TNG)- It was Congressman Tom Tancredo, R-CO who said we should nuke Mecca if we're hit again by muslims using any type of radiation-based weapon. He's also the only guy in Congress wanting us to seal our southern border
completely. If he runs for President in 2008, he'll get my vote.
Keep up the good work! I'm a retired vet with time spent in many countries around the world. The French are generally the most arrogant assholes I've ever encountered and their friends the Belgians do a great job of imitating them.
Posted by: John F on November 10, 2005 07:55 PMHey John F. I too am retired from the military. Happy Veteran's Day. I'm here at work. I was stationed in Germany and spent a lot of free time in France. For the most part I can say that I had no problems with the French. Their food is great and I really enjoyed the wine. Although the California is on a par with French wine. Look's like 2005 will be a good year for the grape.
As for the problems with the riots in France, it was predicted on this and several blogs that this would happen. I had and several others have stated that the French need to take this problem firmly in hand and deal these punks. I stated earlier as individuals they may be fine, but as a group of people they are savage and have to be dealt with in a direct fashion. Armed police that shoot rioters and vandals is now what has to be done. Appeasement only empowers them. Any hesitation to take action will be viewed as weakness and encourage more terrorism. Terrorism is what this is and junior terrorist need to be put down or not allowed to get any older or bolder. Civil order needs to be maintained.
Posted by: scaryguy on November 11, 2005 02:48 PMKudos for Rob Cooper. And let's give it up for Mr. Tancredo who said we should seal our southern border. I don't know if nuking Mecca would solve the problem, though. Cockroaches are notoriously difficult to exterminate.
On a few other forums, I stated that we should build a 50' wall along the US/Mexican border, surround it on both sides with minefields, patrol it on ground and in the air, and have specially trained US Border Patrol agents with night vision and fully automatic weapons. Additonally, If you are caught in the States without proper documentation, if you're an ILLEGAL ALIEN, the penalty is death. Oh, by the way, since the offender, obviously, is not an American citizen, he gets no trial. He'll get smoked right out in the desert or parking lot or wherever. Of course, the liberal-types didn't like my ideas very much. They consider ILLEGAL ALIENS either authentic immigrants or "undocumented workers"--whatever the hell that means. Yeah. Sure. Go tell that to the families of the 9/11 victims who died at the hands of "undocumented students" that took advantage of our pathetically lax immigration laws to pull off their attack.
I say kill'em all. Let Allah or their Patron Saint of Salvation sort them out.
I mean it.

I had me an unruly teen a few years back. Set that boy straight. Politics are local, tough love and all that. What's lost on others is painfully obvious to people like Ms. Vicki and moi.
