Cindy knitted this sweater for me in 2004, which was my 58th birthday. Since I'm now retired, I hardly ever wear sweaters anymore, so she quit knitting them for me. This one is more of a cardigan that I can wear as a jacket. See the buttons? She also states that I can machine wash it.
I did mention that blue is my favorite color, right?
Posted by denny at December 14, 2005 12:30 PMRetired people dont wear sweaters? I would think it would be the opposite. (With sweaters being more of a casual look, you know?) At any rate, thats a dandy looking one there (with the buttons)

I thought it was green. BTW...who is Rat Turd? :p
Posted by: Tessa on December 14, 2005 01:21 PMRuth - I wear mostly flannel shirts or rugby shirts. With a sweater, I would have to wear a cotton shirt, which means an additional laundry load. Plus, I just don't go anywhere. I work out three days a week. (Flannel shirt that I can take off over a t-shirt.) Go mall walking two days a week.(Rugby shirt) Go grocery shopping. (Flannel or rugby)
Tessa - Rat Turd is a friend of Jane. Jane is a miserable person who likes to play the victim and has no friends because she has trashed all of them. Rat Turd trashed me on his site (he has since pulled the post) and I bitchslapped the piss out of him. Jane has crawled under a rock, which she does after someone starts flaming her. She will be back and Topeka Troll, Margi, Rue, and myself will force her to crawl back under her rock again. With Jane, history always repeats itself. Rat Turd banned me from his site.
Posted by: Denny on December 14, 2005 01:45 PMWell those sweaters are too beautiful not to find a reason (or a place) to wear them.
Posted by: Ruth on December 14, 2005 01:51 PMWOW! That sweater is beautiful!
Posted by: J.Doe on December 14, 2005 04:44 PMThis is my favorite so far Denny. Beautiful..just beautiful.
Posted by: Moogie on December 14, 2005 07:08 PMYour sister really has talent. I tried knitting once. The bonnet I made for my baby fit my husband, who wore it sledding during the big snow of 1967. He didn't own a winter hat at the time. Did it look stupid.
Posted by: Nancy B on December 14, 2005 07:40 PMDenny:I was messin' when I made the green/RatTurd comments. I'm sorry I caused you to spend time explaining things, although it might help detail it for someone who hasn't followed the disagreement. I think it was Jeremy who suggested that anyone who reads here regularly and still doesn't know who RatTurd is has to be dense. He's right. I haven't missed any of the details...quite fascinating in an odd sort of way.
Posted by: Tessa on December 14, 2005 09:04 PMEnough with the Cosby sweater bullshit. Nobody cares.
Posted by: Mark on December 15, 2005 09:54 AMNobody? I hate when others speak for me. Mark, I'll bet there have been numerous times in life that you've been referred to as 'that idiot'. This time is no different.
Posted by: Tessa on December 15, 2005 10:00 AMMark - Are you just pissed off that you don't have any friends talented enough to knit you nice "Cosby sweaters" or are you just pissed because you're a loser?
