Sorry. Too much going on right now so here's a joke Catfish sent me. This is one I'd expect to see over at Elison's. He's probably already posted it. It was pretty far down in my jokes file.
In Jerusalem, a female CNN journalist heard about a very old Jewish man who had been going to the Western Wall to pray, twice a day, for a long, long time. So she went to check it out. She went to the Western Wall and there he was! She watched him pray and after about 45 minutes when he turned to leave, she approached him for an interview.
"I'm Rebecca Smith from CNN. Sir, how long have you been coming to the Western Wall and praying?"
"For about 60 years."
"60 years! That is amazing! What do you pray for?"
"I pray for peace between the Christians, Jews, and the Muslims. I pray for all the hatred to stop and I pray for all our children to grow up in safety and friendship."
"How do you feel after doing this for 60 years?"
"Like I'm talking to a fucking wall!"

I have a videotape of my Dad (Eli, his ownself) telling that exact same joke. The video is 21 years old.
A classic!
Posted by: Elisson on January 11, 2006 12:07 AMShouldn't it be the "Wailing Wall"?
Posted by: Rob Cooper on January 11, 2006 12:39 AMSo sorry, same difference.
Posted by: Rob Cooper on January 11, 2006 12:39 AMJews don't refer to it as the "Wailing Wall." It's called either the Western Wall or the Kotel.
Posted by: Elisson on January 11, 2006 11:05 AMOnly CNN would ask such stupid questions!!!
Oops, I guess I've been praying wrong...I pray for the destruction of the Muslims and that Israel would stop giving land away!
Bad JAP...
