Back From Texas

Got home OK. Rained all the way. Have to start laundry, go through mail (e-mail and snail mail), cook dinner, and watch 24. More later.

Welcome back, Denny!

I wish I could have seen ya, but we were getting soaked in that same storm down in Houston, visiting family. At least we're a few drops less dry, though. Texas is in the grip of a fierce record-level drought and we need all the dihydrogen monoxide we can get!

Well, um...welcome back, hon! :-)

What is this Rain you keep talking about? It has not rained in Phoenix since October 12th....and that was a little sprinkle. So you can send us some we need some moister.

Denny...

Sooo...how was the Slap Your Momma Cake? I looked up recipe...and I'm ready to bake one (and buy a size bigger pants!). It sounds so good! Please don't tell me you don't eat sweets, it'll ruin my image of you.

I live in the Phoenix area, too. It is dryer than it has been in a long time, but still not as dry as it was when I lived in Alice Springs, NT, Australia. It rained there twice. A quarter inch the first year (broke a seven-year no rain drought) and it rained a quarter inch the next year. Both times the population went down to the Todd River (normally dry) to watch the river come in (and go out again).
