Sorry. Still running behind so I'll have to wait until tomorrow to write about my trip and the latest episode of 24.
Tonight is our January Sommelier Guild of Atlanta tasting. We're going to Violette, which has hosted many a Guild function. We're also drinking some nice full-bodied Syrahs. I love Syrahs!
After feasting in Texas over the weekend, I return and get to feast in Atlanta. Here are the wines and food we'll be consuming tonight.

First Flight:
L'Aventure Syrah Estate 2003
Novy Syrah Santa Lucia Highlands 2003
Rosenblum Syrah England-Shaw 2003
Second Course
Chicken breast with a creamy tarragon sauce over rice
Second Flight:

I'm suprised at the number of Australian wines that you have selected, are they easily available in the states or do you have to work at getting them, have just taken delivery of a case of Pelican Point Shiraz 2005 and its a superb wine now so can improve a bit more in the bottle and all for about $7 a bottle, yes life is good

Most people drink Miller Lite, you pompous ass. Good God! ,I abhore pompous asses whom analize which friggin wine that they are going to drink with their meal. So many American children do not even GET a f#cking sit down meal with their parents, whom both have to work so that they can provide for their children. Lord knows! I wish I had such worries as to what "wine" to serve. I take that back. I hope that I Never become that shallow of a person.
