Do I have an immigration plan? You damn betcha! I got lots of plans.
1. Build a fucking fence! We have a 2000 mile unprotected border with a Third World country. As the latest protests show, we have a bunch of booger eatin' moh-rons who want to turn the Southwest into Mexico.
Isn't it amazing? Our latest round of immigrants came to this country because they lived in Third World shitholes and then they want to import the systems that made their old countries that way.
Take the Mooselimbs. <Henny Youngman>Please!</Henny Youngman> They left their Third World shitholes to come to America for a better life and what do they do? They bring their religion with them and then want its laws to take precedence over ours. Listen up sheetheads! Your religion is one of the reasons the country you left is a Third World shithole. We need someone like John Howard of Australia to tell our Mooselimbs that if they think their laws override our laws, it's time to hit the highway. Yay John!
But back to the fence. It should not be just any old fence. It should be two fences about 100 yards apart. Kim du Toit came up with the idea of putting man eating lions in the space between the two fences. What happens if the fence is so effective that the lions go hungry? I got solutions for that.
When we catch an illegal, we feed him to the lions. If we run out of illegals, there are always gummint workers and managers from large corporations. IBM has a few. In fact, there was this joke running around IBM when I worked there.
It seems two lions escaped from a zoo. They met each other 4 weeks later and one was skinny, undernourished, and looked like crap. The other was plump and had a nice shiny coat. The skinny lion asked the other lion why he looked so good since he had eaten one person and had been hunted for the last four weeks. He was starving. The plump lion told him that he had gone to White Plains New York and had eaten one IBM manager a day and nobody noticed that any of them were missing. Hence, IBM managers were known as lion food.
Another option is lawyers. Insert your lawyer joke here. Here is mine.
They're thinking of replacing lab rats with lawyers. Why? Lawyers breed faster than rats. There would be no worries about the researchers sometimes getting attached to the lawyers like they do with the rats. There are some things even rats won't do.
Here's the real beauty of the fence: We would make Mexicans build it!
2. Tax the Mexicans. How would we do that? There are two ways.
Adopt the Fair Tax which is a consumption tax. The poor citizens get money back depending on how much they make. Poor illegals would get nothing back.
Tax the money they send back to Mexico. Didja know that money from the US is Mexico's second highest domestic national product? Oil is first. We need to levy a 5% to 10% tax on any money wired to Mexico. So they don't wire it? To buy a money order a Mexican needs to show proof of citizenship. If he can't, there is a 5% to 10% tax on the money order. That money would go to the schools and hospitals that provide services to illegals.
3. No bilingual education! Bilingual education is one of the things that prevents assimilation. It also prevents learning. Total immersion has been proven to be the most effective way to learn. If I move to another country, my highest priority is learning the language. Duh!
4. No automatic citizenship for people born in this country. If Juanita is illegal and she has little Juan, he is illegal also.
I am not anti-immigration. We are a nation of immigrants. On my mother's side of the family, I'm pure German. All of her ancestors came over around 1850. They learned English and they didn't march in protests waving German flags. One of my great great grandfathers arrived in 1855 and he fought in the Civil War. All of my German ancestors became Americans.
On my father's side, I am all English. Here are some of the names:
Wilson, Davis, Bird, Boren, Blossom, Freeman. I just idolize my great grandfather Cyrus Freeman. He had two wives and 19 children. Southern Missouri and Illinois are crawling with his progeny.
The Freeman branch of my family (My paternal grandmother) can be traced back to the Sprewell, the boat that came over after the Mayflower.
My sister has traced the Wilsons back to southern Missouri. Unfortunately, in 1800, there were four Joun Wilsons in the county in southern Missouri so she doesn't know which one is our great great great grandfather (I think I have the number of greats correct.). She figgers whichever one he was, he came from North Carolina.
But here's the deal. My ancestors did not go and wave the flags of England and Germany. My German ancestors did not demand that gummint speak German and provide services. My ancestors came to a better country. They did not demand that Americans accomodate them. They did not demand that Americans speak their language. My ancestors became Americans.
I welcome all legal immigrants as long as they decide to become Americans. That means for all of you Mooselimbs your religion does not take precedence over Amnerican laws and American customs. If that is a problem, get the fuck out of this country.
To you Mexicans who believe in the Reconquista, get the fuck out of this country.
To you legal Mexicans, learn English and do not demand that we conform to your customs. If this is a problem, go back to Mexico.
To you illegals, go back to Mexico. Quit waving your Mexican flags! If Mexico is so great, why the fuck are you here?
Posted by denny at April 5, 2006 09:02 PMThank you from Wet Back Central Arizona. I agree i want the biggest fucking electrical fence on the boarder. I also think a bounty on illegals say 10 bucks each one bagged crossing the boarder.
Posted by: Greg DiCroce on April 6, 2006 01:03 AMBravo, Denny! You seem to find the words to speak what most of us are feeling, but can't get it on paper.
Greg-
I agree with the electrified fence, but I will donate my 10 dpw (dollars per wetback) to the maintainers of said fence. Hell, I would be more than happy to donate a shitload of my weekends building the thing.
Agreed... awesome plan
Posted by: G on April 6, 2006 01:57 AMYou guys really want to get pissed about our border? Read the article in the Washington Times today by a Ronald Maxwell. Makes my one hair curl.
Posted by: gene Hall on April 6, 2006 06:08 AMDenny, Awesome post. How's about sending it to some news outlets. You may find one that will cave and print it. You say what many feel. If more posts like this were publicised, it might make the silent majority wake the fuck up. Ray
These dumb asses waiving Mexican flags could become history repeating itself. In the late 1820's Santa Ana offered free land to any Americans who would come to Texas and settle it. Once roads, bridges, towns and commerce were established he told them to get out and that Mexicans were taking it all back. That didn't go over too well and the rest is history.

I'm afraid our elected officials in Washington will sell our souls for the sake of votes and their need for continued support from big business who depend on cheap labor.
Good post, Denny.
Posted by: vicki on April 6, 2006 10:48 AMUnless they go after the businesses nothing will change.
Posted by: Jack on April 6, 2006 10:55 AMAgain I agree with vicki. Our gummit officials just can't bring themselves to remember the last amnesty.
I just heard on FOX NEWS that the senate passed a limpdick bill that says nothing as how they will implement it or enforce it if it ever becomes law. They have never discussed why the laws on the books were never enforced since the last one in 86. Now they will journey home for their Easter vacation and blow smoke to the people how big and brave that they are by passing an amnesty bill but at the same time trying to explain why we should not call it amnesty. Lipstick on a pig again.
Here in Texas a number of years ago, we had a major problem with coyotes. They were spreadin screw worms and their population was out of control.. The solution was to put a bounty on em.. You didnt have to have the whole animal to claim your fee, just the ears.. A lot of farmers and ranchers would remove the ears and claim their bounty, then hang the rest of the coyote on a fence post.. You could drive for miles and not see a fence post without a dead coyote on it.. They said the dead coyotes on the fence posts helped drive the coyotes out of the area..
I often wonder how it would be for a Mescan to cross the border and see miles of other, less fortunate, illegals tied onto fence posts, and them be without ears..
SETTLE DOWN !! Its only a dream of mine, even tho I do usually wake up with a smile .. Anyway, I dont even thank that would be a deterent to the illegals crossin into the U.S. ..
Found this in the European edition of the Stars & Stripes.

"People make a government so that their rights (life, freedom, and happiness) will be safe. The job of the government is to protect the rights of the people. A government is good when it does this. Also, the government must do what the people say, because the people made the government. When the government does what the people say, it is called a democracy." - United States Declaration of Independence
The U.S. government has failed to do its duty. The Citizens of the United States of America demand:
1) Border security
2) Enforcement of employment laws
3) Stop giving away the Rights & Privileges of Citizenship to foreign invaders
4) "Guest Worker" Program = Amnesty. (a guest is invited and expected to leave)
The cost of illegal immigration is greater than the benefits. According to the
California Labor & Workforce Development Agency, "the fiscal impact of
immigrants in recent years was negative. Public service costs exceeded taxes
paid." - http://www.labor.ca.gov/panel/impactimmcaecon.pdf
Manpower Inc., an employment services company, shows in their Talent Shortage Survey (Feb 2006) that 78% of the 4,805 companies surveyed in Mexico are struggling to find workers. Of the countries surveyed, Mexico has indicated the greatest need for workers. Canada is 2nd with 66% (1,000 companies). U.S. is 9th with 44% (1,275).
So, if illegal immigrants want jobs... they should go to Mexico (1st) or Canada (2nd).
Mexico needs (in order): Sales reps, Technicians, LABORERS, Production operators, Administrative assistants, Engineers, Customer service, Maintenance managers, Sales managers, and Recptionists.

How Mexico Treats Their Guests
This ought to shut up a lot of people who claim we're being "unfair" to illegals:
•Pursuant to Article 33, "Foreigners may not in any way participate in the political affairs of the country." This ban applies, among other things, to participation in demonstrations and the expression of opinions in public about domestic politics like those much in evidence in Los Angeles, New York and elsewhere in recent days.
•Equal employment rights are denied to immigrants, even legal ones. Article 32: "Mexicans shall have priority over foreigners under equality of circumstances for all classes of concessions and for all employment, positions, or commissions of the Government in which the status of citizenship is not indispensable."
•Jobs for which Mexican citizenship is considered "indispensable" include, pursuant to Article 32, bans on foreigners, immigrants, and even naturalized citizens of Mexico serving as military officers, Mexican-flagged ship and airline crew, and chiefs of seaports and airports.
•Article 55 denies immigrants the right to become federal lawmakers. A Mexican congressman or senator must be "a Mexican citizen by birth." Article 91 further stipulates that immigrants may never aspire to become cabinet officers as they are required to be Mexican by birth. Article 95 says the same about Supreme Court justices.
In accordance with Article 130, immigrants - even legal ones - may not become members of the clergy, either.
•Foreigners, to say nothing of illegal immigrants, are denied fundamental property rights. For example, Article 27 states, "Only Mexicans by birth or naturalization and Mexican companies have the right to acquire ownership of lands, waters, and their appurtenances, or to obtain concessions for the exploitation of mines or of waters."
•Article 11 guarantees federal protection against "undesirable aliens resident in the country." What is more, private individuals are authorized to make citizen's arrests. Article 16 states, "In cases of flagrante delicto, any person may arrest the offender and his accomplices, turning them over without delay to the nearest authorities." In other words, Mexico grants its citizens the right to arrest illegal aliens and hand them over to police for prosecution. Imagine the Minutemen exercising such a right!
•The Mexican constitution states that foreigners - not just illegal immigrants - may be expelled for any reason and without due process. According to Article 33, "the Federal Executive shall have the exclusive power to compel any foreigner whose remaining he may deem inexpedient to abandon the national territory immediately and without the necessity of previous legal action."
Remember this the next time you hear about how "unfair", "racist", "inhumane", etc., our immigration policy is, or our efforts to crack down on this. No matter how "bad" we treat illegals here in this country, Mexico goes far beyond what we've EVER consider doing.

Paul, good job...I'm using the national calling feature on cell phone and leaving a message at each number stating that I will no longer support the GOP if they don't tighten the noose on undocumented Mexicans...and employers who hire them.
The Republicans are looking to lose big time to the Democrats if they don't start making a case for immigration ... among other issues. The GOP has failed to get their message across well enough for people to continue to support them. I hear discontent from conservatives...there's no more blind loyality! They need to start working for their votes....
I feel ripped off after looking at the immigration bill that's on the table..

FUCK TOLERANCE!
I am so goddam sick and tired of the "tolerance" in this Country! We have been tolerant for far too long! When are we going to put the boot down and say NO MORE? (or, if you will, NO MAS?). I WILL NOT tolerate the burning of the American Flag! I WILL NOT tolerate the waving of the Mexi flag while chanting "brown power"! I WILL NOT tolerate the ILLEGAL invasion of our Nation! I WILL NOT tolerate amnesty! (call it a 'guest worker program' but it's fucking amnesty no matter how you try to rationalize it...plain and simple).
Too many people are "tolerant", or better yet, apathetic in regards to the demise of this great Nation. Too many have given their lives to protect and preserve our way of life to piss it away because it's the politically correct thing to do. How in the hell can you have "National Security" while turning a blind eye to the southern invasion? What a fucking joke! Tolerance you say???
FUCK TOLERANCE!

This immigration debate is a fucking joke. Denny speaks for me on this topic. Like I said in a previous thread, I have unregistered my name from the Republican Party. They have back-stabbed me for the last time. President Bush has achieved lame-duck status, and John McCain can go screw himself after that lettuce comment he made today in front of the AFL-CIO or whatever communist labor orgy that was he was attending. Hey McCain, I'll pick your fucking lettuce for $50 bucks an hour and when they're all picked, I'm gonna shove them up your ass.
What's so amazing to me is the Democrats and how they preach for a higher minimum wage and blah blah and fucking blah, yet they halt any reform that stifens illegal immigration. This is more than a double-standard. Its just plain sick. I'm ashamed of my government.

Doncha SEE it? It is in the empowering of the 'other' that we gain mastery of the other.
Those that don't understand this, end up being reactionary to whatever the whatever-others dredge up.
I have agreed with every single one of your posts, -but you are missing the larger, more-salient ISSUE: EMPOWERMENT!

ILLEGAL immigrants fit within this framework.
To further the analogy, it was a BRILLIANT catch; it was ATHLETIC!; it was an AMAZING reception!
Except it was out of bounds and was illegal.
EMPOWERMENT would acknowledge all of the good things while getting understanding from the reciever that he was out of bounds.
In my little universe, that catcher would go to the next play with an idea of being so-fine on the next catch that he would be perfection in shoving clear-evidence in the face of the official that the Ref would offer up grudging approval
And the sticks would move. And the game would go on.

That's my whole point dude! These leetches can be "granted" all you want to grant them, but they will NEVER return the favor. They are here simply to suck off the American teet, send the $$ back home to "good 'ol Mehico", and then complain that their "rights" aren't being met!
I don't know about you Dan, but I am sick and fucking tired of working my ass off to support those who (are more than CAPABLE) yet couldn't and DON'T give a FUCK about MY COUNTRY, and do nothing but bash it, yet still DEMAND whatever the FUCK they think they deserve (welfare, foodstamps, free medicare, free edu-ma-cation, etc). Yes, this is a Country of immigrants, but when they ORIGINALLY came here as LEGAL immigrants, they learned the language (ENGLISH), and they knew they were lucky enough to make it here, so they did the best they could and contributed to the better of society, if not a better way of life that they EARNED. My Grandparents immigrated from Germany in the early '30's, and if it were not for them getting the hell out of there, I might not be here today. Bottom line... They did it LEGALLY!
Tell me what these ILLEGAL "immigrants" have done to EARN anything but contempt! If conditions are so shitty in Mehico, grow a pair and have a revolution! Nope! Instead, let's bring down the Greatest Nation of the face of the EARTH... "Evil Amerikkka".
Don't let them lower OUR standards of "a way of life"!
C'mon man, are you really willing to keep giving to those who do nothing but TAKE TAKE TAKE??? I for one AM NOT!
FUCK TOLERANCE!
Posted by: CharlieDelta on April 7, 2006 01:15 AMFor a Democrat like me, the current immigration debate and half-assed attempts at legislation are fucking GREAT! It is dealing a major blow to the Republican Party. On the one hand, the largest minority group, which is also the fasting growing group of voters, is pissed that many Republicans (both politicians and rank-and-file) are coming out so strongly and viciously against illegal aliens and want to basically treat them like subhuman animals. On the other hand, right-wingers are angry that some Republican politicians are taking a soft line against illegal aliens.
To point out the obvious, Latino votes are important now and are going to be even more important every year as the Latino population grows. This will hurt Republicans in Florida, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and California, to say the very least. Currently those 6 states amount to 140 electoral votes. And most of those states have been swing states in recent presidential elections. And the southwest is the fasting growing population center in the country, which means their proportion of electoral votes will only increase.
So this is a real problem for Republicans. If they are soft on illegal aliens, they piss off the party's diehard, conservative base. If they are hard on illegal aliens, they lose Latinos, crippling the party in key states into the forseeable future. Interestingly, the mixed messages coming from the Republican party have managed to piss off both Latinos and right-wingers.
If my analysis is faulty, please let me know what I'm missing.
Posted by: Scott on April 7, 2006 02:16 AMScott, your analysis is faulty from the get-go for the obvious reason that your hatred for "Republicans and right-wingers" is obviously above your love of your Country!

I was referring to my analysis of the political quandary the Republican Party is with regard to the immigration issue. I understand that you hate me, but can anyone disagree that this issue is a major problem for Republicans?
Posted by: Scott on April 7, 2006 10:46 AMBut, you are all missing one point...those who are legal in this country aren't pleased seeing undocumented immigrants being handed what they had to work so darn hard to get...citizenship. The problem is that polling data consistently shows that the vast majority of Latinos (regardless of whether they are immigrants or not) favor soft and respectful treatment of illegal aliens. They also favor policies which make it easier for illegals to become naturalized citizens. Even more, they react very negatively to hardline policies that deport more illegals and firm up our borders.
While there are some Latinos who are naturalized citizens that resent illegals and therefore like hardline Republican policies against illegal immigration, the data shows that this is a relatively small minority.
Posted by: Scott on April 7, 2006 10:52 AMScott, I also agree that your logic is faulty because your bias against a political party overpowers your ability to objectively debate the topic. We conservatives, right-wingers, or whatever you wanna fucking call us (we've got lots of names for folks like you as well) could care less what the political fall-out is. We want a logical reform package. None of us so-called bigotted conservatives are against LEGAL immigration. We are a nation of immigrants and legal immigrants have given tremendous contributions to this great nation.
We happen to believe that illegal immigration 1) drains our social services that we the civilians have to pay for; 2) artifically depresses working wages and undermines our LEGAL labor base; 3) is a major security threat; and 4) undermines the immigrants who have entered this country legally. Over 30% of our prison polutation is comprised of illegals Scott. Its that simple, pal. Is it a probelm for the Republicans? You bet it is. As a matter of fact, I'm surprised you liberals aren't creaming your panties over the Republican Party. They look almost as inept, arrogant, insular, and corrupt as your Communists..oops...I meant Democrats.
Posted by: Paul on April 7, 2006 11:46 AMScott - You are correct that is a bad issue for Republicans. Unfortunately, there will now be another minority group for the Dimocrats to keep on the plantation. They'll seek their votes while doing nothing to increase their quality of life, just like they do for blacks. Also, as soon as Dimocrats regain power, they'll gut our intelligence and military just like they always do. I'm sure you're happy about that. Just like assholes like Jimmah Carter and our Dimocrat controlled congress extended the Cold War, the next Dimocrat president and Dimocrat controlled congress will extend our GWOT. I don't see any Reagans on the horizon. We're fucked! But you're happy.
Posted by: Denny on April 7, 2006 12:20 PMOver 30% of our prison polutation is comprised of illegals
Amen, to that...I worked in California prisons. Twenty years ago, I learned to speak Spanish from the Mojados, so I could understand them. They refused to interact with male guards and depended on the female guards.
Distant Neighbors : A Portrait of the Mexicans is a social history of the perception on the Mexican people. Assimilation for Mexican immigrants will be difficult because of their cultural beliefs. The USA will have to change with the millions that are here and on their way....and I don't want to change!!!
Posted by: vicki on April 7, 2006 12:24 PMvicki - One of the reasons I don't advocate just invading Mexico and turning it into our 51st state (and taking their oil) is the fact that we would have to give these fuckers the right to vote. Now if we could gradually take bits of Mexico and Americanize it that would be OK. In the meantime, we need to build a Hadrian's Wall to keep the brown hordes out of our counytry.
Posted by: Denny on April 7, 2006 12:51 PMI'm sure you're happy about that.
I'm fucking overjoyed. The Republican hegemony is dying and it is your own racism which has sealed your fate. A growing percentage of people in this country aren't white. That percentage grows everyday. The Republican Party has never given a damn about minorities. It is the White party. That is an increasingly untenable political position.
Demographics + Republican racism = Democratic victory
Unless the Republican Party makes some significant ideological and policy changes over the coming decades, it will become increasingly marginalized.
Posted by: Scott on April 7, 2006 01:25 PMOK Scott. Stop with the rhetoric and provide specific examples of Republican racism, and we here will pick it apart piece by piece. Go ahead, let's debate. Prove that we are racists. No ambiguous emotional comments, just the plain facts. State the policy. State its effect, and back the effect up with facts and data. Let's see how smart you really are.
Posted by: Paul on April 7, 2006 02:58 PMNo ambiguous emotional comments, just the plain facts. State the policy. State its effect, and back the effect up with facts and data.
Interesting double standard here. The posts and comments on this blog are all about slinging shit. I don't see much "data" on here. Just wildly hurled invective. But when a dissenting voice comments, I'm supposed to come up with policies, citations and data? Yeah right. When I see it, I'll respond in kind.
Posted by: Scott on April 7, 2006 04:09 PMScott - Exactly what "hardline policies" are you talking about? The fact that the Republicans are just as soft on illegal immigration as Dimocrats is what is gonna keep the Republican base at home. We would love to see some hardline policies on immigration. Unfortunately, business is totally against curbs on illegals because they are a source of cheap labor.
As to your contention that Republicans are racists, please give us some examples. Opposing affirmative action is not racism. Desiring that people no matter the color of theor skin be treated equally is not racism. The biggest racists I see nowadays are Dimocrats who, by their actions, demonstrate that blacks are too stupid to succeed without their help. Keeping blacks poor and dependent on gummint is racism. Bilingual education, which is an impediment to learning, is racism.
As Paul said, put up or shut up. My commenters will tear you to pieces.
Posted by: Denny on April 7, 2006 04:18 PMRacism isn't proveable in this context. It is what I believe to be the motivation behind a wide variety of policies and pieces of legislation which disadvantage minorities. It is the fact that these policies disadvantage minorities that has led and will continue to lead minorities away from the Republican party.
The most recent example is the current immigration debate. Numerous studies have shown that illegal aliens add more to the U.S. economy than they take from it. The vast majority of them are peaceful and hardworking. It is in this country's best interest -- both economically and socially -- to give them a reasonable path legal citizenship.
If not racism, what is behind the intense hatred of illegal Mexican imigrants? On this blog (and its comments), I have read many fantasies about brutalizing and killing these immigrants. Even if these are just fantasies and not what you actually want to happen, they evince clear hatred which goes above and beyond a distaste for them breaking the law. For some, I guess brown skin and an accent is just unacceptable.
Posted by: Scott on April 7, 2006 04:42 PMScott...Obviously, you haven't had your town overrun by Russian, Asian and Mexican immigrants who get perks, thanks to our tax dollars.
Nor, have you had your SSI number used by an illegal immigrant. For $50 anyone can get a fake SSI card with a random number.
The Latino people coming to the USA are uneducated, socially inept, poor people. They aren't bringing anything with them except the ability and will to work. They have no regard for the American way of life...they are here to make money...dinero...nada mas! Many of the men have a wife in Mexico ... they also have a woman here who usually gets pregnant and our tax dollars pay for the child's well being.
The decent respectable people of Mexico aren't climbing over a border fence, swimming the Rio, or hiking through a desert breaking the laws of the United States...they don't come to the USA unless it's for business, vacation or to shop.
Before immigration got so out of hand and repulsive to me, several of my friends and I helped El Salvadorian and Mexican immigrant women, because we are billingual. We stopped helping the women, because their expectations changed. The immigrants network amongst themselves and know how to work the system, especially once they have a child in this country. The women are greedy and ruthless underneath that brown skin and sweet expression.
Get close and personal with the Mexican community before you make assumptions.
It isn't racism, it is reality.

One word, Scott: ILLEGAL!!!
What part of the word is so hard to understand for you???
Here's some help...

Posted by: CharlieDelta on April 7, 2006 05:56 PMHey, Paul... did you see outcome of vote? Many of the mail boxes were full when I called the list of numbers you posted on GOC. I called back and left either personal message or recorded message. Now, I have to stop goofing around on the computer and get something constructive done with my day. Rush has article on his website about vote.
Posted by: vicki on April 7, 2006 06:14 PMUnbelievable this Scott guy. Scott, what CharlieDelta said, ILLEGAL.
A desire to control our borders and limit illegal immigration is not racism pal. Its called common sense. We've told you over and over and over again but you won't listen. We support legal immigration, and I think the legal immigration process should actually be streamlined, but I do not support breaking the law nor the people breaking it. You said that the net benefit to our economy is positive? Tell that to all the hospital employees in Southern California who have lost their jobs due to bankrupt hospitals along the Mexican border. Tell that the prison wardens who manage a population of which 30% is illegal. 30%!!!!!! There's a fucking factoid for you, but we won't bother any longer with the facts. Mexico's laws on immigration are lot tougher than ours. Does that make them racists?
And I don't hate brown skin. He hablado español desde que estaba en High School secundaria. I grew up in South Texas. I only dated Mexicans when I was in high school and would love to marry one. I have several Mexican friends who have recently become citizens LEGALLY and are infuriated at the influx of illegals. Does that make them racist against their own race? I think not. Again, common sense. Go grow some dude.
I'm not a fucking racist. Refer to my previous post concerning my reasoning against illegal immigration which is anything but racist. I'll bet you're one of those guys who thinks the United Nations should control us. Are you that kind of person?
Scott, the reason most of the minority groups have abandoned the Republican Party is because they have been banboozled by the liberal machine into thinking that society owes them something. Conservatives believe in self-governance and opportunity. Liberals believe in entitlements.
Posted by: Paul on April 7, 2006 06:50 PMVicki, are you talking to me or to another Paul? I don't recall the post. Remind me.
Posted by: Paul on April 7, 2006 07:00 PMI said: "If not racism, what is behind the intense hatred of illegal Mexican imigrants?"
Paul & CharlieDelta said: "One word, Scott: ILLEGAL!!!"
I don't think you understood my question. I can certainly understand you guys being against illegal activity. My question was about the intense hatred and fantasies of brutality and murder against these people. On this blog, I've read fantasies about killing all illegal immigrants, feeding them to lions and hanging their dead bodies on fence posts. Do you have such hatred for everyone who breaks any law? Illegal immigration isn't a violent felony. And still you have amazing hatred for all of these "dirty" "wetbacks".
I don't assume that everyone who is against illegal immigration is a racist. One can make a good case for such policies. However, when such arguments are peppered with hatred for those evil, dirty immigrants, mixed with fantasies of brutality and murder and spiced with racial epithets, that sure sounds a whole lot like racism. If it walks like a racist and quacks like a racist, it's a racist. This is probably not true of all of you, but certainly many of you, including but not limited to Denny, CharlieDelta, Wild Bill and Catfish.

Could French-style riots happen here?
Yes, says a hopeful leader of 'Aztlan' separatist movement
While Many Americans are watching the chaos unfold following 12 nights of mayhem by largely Muslim immigrants in the streets of France, a leader of the separatist Aztlan movement in the U.S. says it's only a matter of time before worse unrest hits the streets of America.
"Can a similar insurrection occur in the USA?" asks Ernesto Cienfuegos of La Voz de Aztlan.
Yes, he concludes.
"Today, here in Los Angeles, we are already seeing ominous signs of an impending social explosion that will make the French rebellion by Muslim and immigrant youths seem 'tame' by comparison," he writes. "All the ingredients are present including a hostile and racist police as in France. In fact, we came close to having major riots on three separate occasions just this year alone."
Aztlan activists, who see themselves as "America's Palestinians," want to carve out of most of the southwestern United States an independent, Spanish-speaking nation known as the Republica del Norte.
According to earlier reports in La Voz de Aztlan, the leaders of this movement are meeting continuously with extremists from the Islamic world.
"There are great similarities between the political and economic condition of the Palestinians in occupied Palestine and that of La Raza in the southwest United States," explained one 2001 editorial in La Voz de Aztlan.
Los Angeles is perceived as the future capital of Aztlan or Republica de Norte.
Cienfuegos continued in today's dispatch: "On top of all this, there are major rumblings in the high schools of the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second largest in the USA. A few days ago, thousands of students, predominantly of Mexican descent, simply walked out of their schools to protest overcrowding, lack of texts, lack of desks and unqualified teachers. There is a strange feeling here in Los Angeles that something sinister is about to happen, but no one knows when. All it will take is for a 'bird-brain cop' to do something stupid and all hell will break loose. If another major rebellion breaks out here in L.A. it could rapidly spread throughout the USA as it has spread in France."
"The social and economic conditions that exist in France that adversely affect its immigrant and Muslim populations also exist here in the USA," Cienfuegos writes. "These conditions negatively affect our black, Latino and immigrant populations in the same way. The rebellion that is occurring in France can and will most probably happen here. If it does, it will have grave consequences on the social, political and economic structures of the country and it could possibly topple a government already weakened by the Iraq War and corruption within its ranks."
Posted by: Wild Bill on April 7, 2006 07:22 PM"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear." -- Marcus Tullius Cicero
Posted by: Wild Bill on April 7, 2006 07:24 PMLemme guess Scott. Because I said "wetback"?
I'm actually honored you grouped me in with the rest of those who you automatically think you know. I live in San Diego Scott. I was born and raised about 5 miles north of the Mexican Border. I have seen this shit for 34 years, so I think I know what I'm talking about. What the fuck do you know about it, besides what you see on CNN or where ever you get your "accurate information"?
Posted by: CharlieDelta on April 7, 2006 07:28 PMScott - Like we're really gonna feed illegal immigrants to the lions. Or lawyers for that matter. But we have a serious problem. These people are here illegally. They are criminals. I don't give a fuck whether they're Mexicans or Canadians. They are breaking the law.
As to studies that they contribute more than they get, it all depends on which study you cite. I've seen studies on both sides of the issue.
Also since illegals are poorly educated and illiterate, they are ready made for the core constituency of the Dimocrat Party. Stupid poor people. Look what the War on Poverty created in our inner cities. We saw the result of that with Katrina. People who had depended on gummint for years and when that gummint failed them they were lost.
51 comments & Only Ric recognized what is fast becoming apparent to those who believe we are doomed to relive the past.... Mexico did welcome all Americans who wished to immigrate to Texas & be good loyal citizens , when they realized that the immigrants had no intention of becoming good loyal Mexican citizens, it was to late.the war took place & the immigrants won. That is how amnesty & immigration without quota works. That is how Texas ultimately became part of the USA, that is how Mexico lost Arizona, New Mexico & the balance of the old Spanish claims. If you think Mexico is not in possession of a good memory & waiting for revenge, guess again! Watch what`s going on & see what will happen if you do not wake up. What goes around comes around , Mexico knows it full well ,why don`t you.
Posted by: dudley1 on April 7, 2006 07:45 PMThe Mexican flags waving in LA illustrate dudley1's point. Nice historical perspective dudley.
Posted by: Paul on April 7, 2006 08:35 PMIf ya want a little historical perspective, then read up on Poncho Villa and Gen. Black Jack Pershing about a hundred years ago !! GITTERDONE !!!!!!!
Posted by: Wild Bill on April 7, 2006 10:17 PMWild Bill, Here is the real historical perspective......There are thousands if not millions of Pancho Villa`s in Mexico with damn few Black Jack Pershings anywhere. If this were not true , the existing problem would have been resolved long ago. What we do have is scum such as Jimma Carter, Hillary,Kennedy,Rev`n Jackson,Honest Al Sharpton & Quisling McCain to name a few of many to resolve the problem from the " I feel their pain" perspective. I repeat, we are doomed to relive the past.

They should build the federal prisons at the border. That way if an illegal does jump the fence they're already incarcerated and at the mercy of the general prison population.
