I guess I'm now gonna have to point out when I post a joke for idiots like my newest troll, Guy. He reminds me of this joke.
A blind man goes into an all girl bar and asks the bartender if she would like to hear a blonde joke.
The bartender replied, "For your information, I'm blonde. The bouncer is a blonde. The women sitting on each side of you are blonde. There are probaly 20 blonde women in this bar. Do you still want to tell your blonde joke?"
"Nope. I don't want to have to explain it over 20 times."
So, to be quite clear, so Guy amd other clueless liberals know, this is not a joke.
The Senate voted yesterday to allow illegal aliens to collect Social Security benefits based on past illegal employment -- even if the job was obtained through forged or stolen documents.
WTF? These people are breaking the law and the asshats in the Senate are rewarding them. What is wrong with this picture?
"There was a felony they were committing, and now they can't be prosecuted. That sounds like amnesty to me," said Sen. John Ensign, the Nevada Republican who offered the amendment yesterday to strip out those provisions of the immigration reform bill. "It just boggles the mind how people could be against this amendment."
Freaking amazing! The liberal mind is a wonder to behold.
The Ensign amendment was defeated on a 50-49 vote.
Hmmm! I wonder who was for it and who was against it. Obviously John McCain (RINO, Arizona) was for it.
"We all know that millions of undocumented immigrants pay Social Security and Medicare taxes for years and sometimes decades while they work to contribute to our economy," said Sen. John McCain, Arizona Republican.
Undocumented immigrants? They're fucking illegal immigrants. They are in this country illegally. They're breaking the fucking law. They're fucking felons!
"The Ensign amendment would undermine the work of these people by preventing lawfully present immigrant workers from claiming Social Security benefits that they earned before they were authorized to work in our community," he said. "If this amendment were enacted, the nest egg that these immigrants have worked hard for would be taken from them and their families."
Maybe they should have thought of that before they broke the fucking law!
Mr. Ensign was among 44 Republicans and five Democrats who voted to block such payouts.
The other Republicans were actually RINOs.
"It makes no sense to reward millions of illegal immigrants for criminal behavior while our Social Security system is already in crisis," said Sen. Jim DeMint, South Carolina Republican. "Why in the world would we endorse this criminal activity with federal benefits? The Senate missed a big opportunity to improve this bill, and I doubt American seniors will be pleased with the result."
Not just American seniors. Howza 'bout American taxpayers? Lots of those folks are gonna be pissed as well.
Sen. Patrick J. Leahy, Vermont Democrat, said it would be unfair to deny illegals the benefits.
Unfair? Why is that?
"We should not steal their funds or empty their Social Security accounts," he said. "That is not fair. It does not reward their hard work or their financial contributions. It violates the trust that underlies the Social Security Trust Fund."
First off, what Trust Fund? It doesn't exist. And fairness? These people are criminals who shouldn't be in this country in the first place. What is unfair, is they jumped to the front of the line, while others have waited to get in. Then, we reward them for their lawlessness. They are here illegally. They have no fucking rights. If they show up to apply for Social Security and are here illegally, they should be shipped back to where they came from.
Within hours, the vote had become an issue in this fall's elections, raised by a Republican challenger to Sen. Debbie Stabenow, Michigan Democrat. "Instead of protecting the retirement security of Americans who are earning an honest living and abiding by the laws of our country, Debbie Stabenow sided with people who are here illegally and abuse our Social Security system," Oakland County, Mich., Sheriff Michael Bouchard said in a press release. "Allowing illegal immigrants to use their illegal work history as credit towards receiving Social Security benefits shows that Debbie Stabenow has forgotten who she is supposed to be working for in the U.S. Senate."
I agree. Exactly what part of illegal do these dickheads not understand? Oh wait. They're Dimocrats.

I love that you think you are losing your country. You are. You are losing it to people better than you, more hard working than you. People who value the American dream more than you.
And we in the Democratic Party are welcoming them con los brazos abiertos (with open arms). The Democratic Party leadership is recommending to all Democratic candidates that they learn Spanish. I would suggest that you good ol' boys learn Spanish too. Pretty soon we'll all be speaking it. Viva Latinos!
Posted by: Guy on May 19, 2006 04:44 PMGuy, the only Hispanics that are coming to the Democratic party are the ones who want everything handed to them for free; not unlike a large part of the constituency that already votes for Democrats.
Hispanics who work hard and got here through legal means will most likey not vote for Democrats and the illegals can't and won't vote.
Watch for a crack down by the poll watchers in the next two elections.

People who value the American dream more than you.

If we're going to start importing hordes of hard-working people who work for cheap wages, I vote for China and India. They assimilate, they work hard, they're entrepreneurs, and they don't run around telling us either that we have to learn Mandarin/Hindi or that American territory actually belongs to them. Best of all, they work twice as hard as the average Mexican for 1/5 the wages.
Posted by: Zhang Fei on May 19, 2006 06:55 PMBetter still, we could start importing Filipinos. They work harder than Mexicans, they speak English and unlike Mexicans, they don't generally want Americans to get off the continent. In fact, until they became independent in 1946, Filipinos were Americans.

Although the Philippines was an American territory, Filipinos were never Americans: they never had any of the rights or duties of citizenship.
I don't want massive Filipino, Chinese, or Indian immigration. The U.S. is historically a white majority nation, and should remain such. I want to preserve my culture, a culture that was born of the West in general, of England in particular, a culture that, like all others, was born of a particular people, in a particular place. Regardless of how well some non-whites may assimilate, the very fact of their non-whiteness changes the fabric of our society.
Until 1965, the U.S. was 89% white; it was also a civil, safe society. Now whites are about 70%, and society has changed, and not for the better. (Yes, there are other factors besides racial compostion--duh!) The biggest reason that this change has not been for the better has nothing to do with the intrinsic value of non-whites. (This should go without saying, but I have to add it to avoid the knee-jerk "racist!" smear.) The reason is that "multicultural" societies do not work.
Don't believe me? Look how successful the Soviet Union was. Look how the Moslems are making Europe safer and more peaceful. Look how well Yugoslavia stayed together once the jackboots came off the people's neck. Notice how successful Gandhi was at keeping Pakistan from splitting off. Ask the Tibetans, Uyghurs, or 53 other minorities how much they enjoy their subjugation to the Han Chinese. Check out how well Iraqis are getting along with each other. Observe how the Quebecois never ask for independence from the rest of Canuckistan.
Limited non-white immigration is acceptable. What we have is an immigration free-for-all, with too many truly alien people coming in, then bringing their extended families without limit. It is destroying America.
P.S.: Guy, you are worse than wrong--you're rude.

Posted by: lisakay on May 20, 2006 05:08 AMThe only good things about the Senate bill are
1. the House won't pass it, and
2. we know who the traitors are.
Yes we should all E-mail every damn one of them and tell them that they are indeed traitors. I've E-mailed so many of them that I've lost count. But they are the usual suspects. Michelle M. listed them.

Posted by: Steve on May 20, 2006 09:50 AMWell, the truth has come to the forefront, the liberal traitors are out in the open & can no longer hide. With their respective votes for granting Social Security to the illegal Aliens thereby violating the oath of office these slimeballs took upon being seated in the Senate, they are now with out question known. All of these traitors should be run out of office on a rail , tarred & feathered then sent to Mexico. It is unforgiveable, dangerous to this country to leave these people as representing we the people in Washington any longer. It is obvious they represent an agenda alien to what this country is, what it stands for & what the future of this country is meant to be. I strongly suggest recall petitions, impeachments where possible, certainly concerted effforts to defeat & toss these criminals out at the next election they run in. Every American voter now should know just how arrogant & out of touch most of our Senators are. It is time for we the people to sweep out the human garbage which has been in senate & replace it with real Americans. To all of you who say you care, it is time to go to work in your states & bring about real change for the benefit of we the people ,this country & our future.
Posted by: dudley1 on May 20, 2006 11:18 AMTime to give senators a wake-up call at the polls...regardless of party, vote out any elected official who has not supported their constituency.
How the hell is this "right" to Social Security going to work. If an Illegal presents a fake SSN to his employer who then sends payments into that account, to whom is the money credited. A truly bogus number will trigger (or should) an enquiry to the employer. If the SSN is valid that account will be credited. The account is tied to a name. The name and account must match. I don't know if SS checks the match each time a deposit comes in but the IRS checks. (File a tax return with a new wife and see what happens.) Ok, years pass and Juan Valdez applies for benifits using his bogus or perloined SSN. Either his account is empty because it does not exist, or the real Juan Valdez owns the benifits under his legitimate account number.
Does anyone think that the Social Secuity Administration will be able to figure this out. This new "right" is a hollow promise, offered only to buy hispanic votes. The one word that comes to mind is Dispicable.

I wasn't urging that Filipinos, Chinese or Indians be allowed to move en masse to the US. I was arguing that it is absurd to make the point that Mexicans have some kind of special dispensation to work in America. If we're going to import massive amounts of labor from abroad, we can do it on a more rational and politically-neutral basis* by spreading it among an assortment of countries and regions. Simply opening the southern border to a country with which we have a major territorial dispute is a rotten idea. Cheap labor is fungible - we don't have to get it all from Mexico.

I think there's a middle way. Just give them back the money they put in and deny them credit for the years in which they contributed as illegal aliens.
If we really wanted to discourage illegal immigration, of course, we could confiscate all their assets upon arrest, as some Asian countries do. I doubt that's going to fly, though, given how squeamish people are about simple deportation. Singapore flogs repeat offenders. If we did that, I bet you'd get less people coming in.

Posted by: vicki on May 20, 2006 05:47 PMHere's a 2005 story about how Singapore deters illegal immigration:
IN A first for the courts here, a man was yesterday convicted of trying to smuggle immigration offenders out of Singapore. L. Magendtheran Letchamanan, 20, was sentenced to 30 months' jail and ordered to be given six strokes of the cane. The unemployed Malaysian was convicted under tougher new immigration laws introduced in January. Previously, the Immigration Act only provided for the offence of smuggling immigration offenders into Singapore.
Posted by: Zhang Fei on May 20, 2006 06:07 PMHere's another 2005 Singapore story - 37 arrested, 36 flogged:
The 37 males arrested were aged between 19 and 40. Some were odd-job labourers, while others were unemployed. Investigations showed that 36 of them were illegal immigrants, while one had overstayed in Singapore by about a year. On Wednesday, 36 of them were charged in court. Thirty-five were given sentences ranging from one month in jail and four strokes of the cane to two months in jail and six strokes of the cane. One man was not charged on medical grounds, as he had a hernia. The offender who overstayed was sentenced to 10 months in prison and five strokes of the cane. The penalty for overstaying or illegal entry is a jail term of up to six months and a minimum three strokes of the cane.
Posted by: Zhang Fei on May 20, 2006 06:35 PMSquidley: Although the Philippines was an American territory, Filipinos were never Americans: they never had any of the rights or duties of citizenship.
I'm afraid that's not true. Filipinos were American citizens (just as Guamanians and Puerto Ricans are American citizens). Until 1934, when a law was passed that began the process of giving the Philippines its independence:
The Tydings-McDuffie Act, which provided for independence for the Philippines on July 4, 1946, strips Filipinos of their status as U.S. nationals and severely restricted Filipino immigration by establishing an annual immigration quota of 50.
There's actually a special exception for Filipinos in the military that I believe is a relic of the Philippines' status as a dependency - non-green card holders are allowed to join as a matter of official US government policy. Apart from the Filipino exception, only US green card holders and citizens - including residents of US territories - are allowed to join the US military.

Thank you for correcting my mistake.
I wish we could flog criminals in the US, but it's "cruel and unusual punishment." Off-topic, I think we ought to have bare-handed, bare-bottomed public spankings for juvenile offenders. There would be no chance of serious injury, and most kids would do anything to avoid that kind of public humilation--including not breaking the law.

You're missing one of my points: the massive immigration of any non-white group is inherently destabilizing. Without one dominant group, one that is willing to exert its reasonable authority, one whose norms are accepted by minorities (as was the case in the US until the 60s), societal chaos is guaranteed.
Note that am not advocating a return to the racism of an earlier age, just the legitimacy, in our own minds, of the white people as a people.

But why are you mixing up "multicultural" with "multicolors" ?
Because it's an obvious visual discriminant ?
ok
but only for the observer, not the observed...
so maybe the observer should change his mind and think of what could bring him close or move him away from the observed, without this color parameter ?
maybe i am closer to a black urban american with 3 kids than to a white single french country man ?

I do not have a clue what you were smoking when you posted your latest rant, it might not be important or it could explain why you did not have a clue what you were attempting to write about. Posted by: dudley1 on May 22, 2006 09:00 AMProsper,
I think I see what you mean. I'm not mixing them up, because "multicolored" is one variant of "multicultural." It doesn't work either. Jefferson, writing about blacks and whites in America, showed he knew this when he wrote,
"Nothing is more certainly written in the book of fate than that these people [i.e., blacks] are to be free; nor is it less certain that the two races, equally free, cannot live under the same government."
It is not an argument for unequal treatment or in favor of racism; it is an argument to realize that race exists, that it matters, and that it has real-world effects.
I can't go into sufficient detail in these comments, so see this and this (especially the 3rd and 7th comments) for more.
Aha! I found the complementary ideas:
"Go Home Now!" The Speech Bush Should Give But Won't.
One of the main ideas: illegal aliens "have 60 days to arrange [their] affairs and leave." No penalities or harrassment, and they can freely re-enter the U.S. in the future, and can even apply to immigrate. However, if they don't take advantage of this very generous offer, they are banned from the U.S. for life.
There's more--read the article.
