Turn Off The Spigot

Before we can go about draining the swamp, we need to first turn off the spigot to prevent additional water coming in. I'm talking, of course, about immigration and the ridiculous Senate bill. I am getting more and more pissed off at our politicians and their refusal to do the right thing. Eight out of ten Americans want our gummint to do sumpin' serious about immigration and our gummint is doing nothing to strengthen the border.

Yes, I know that it is impossible to round up twelve million illegal immigrants. Especially when our gummint refuses to do anything about stopping the flow into the country. They refuse to turn off the spigot. We do not need an all inclusive bill with amnesty and paths to citizenship. We need a bill to enforce our borders. Only then should we talk about what to do with the illegals in this country. The average American realizes that. Unfortunately, the dipshits in the Senate do not.

Once we do secure the border, we can go about rounding up the illegals and sending them back to Mexico. Once we do secure the border we can talk about a guest worker program. Amnesty? Fuck that! We tried that in 1986. Really solved the problem didn't it. Secure the border first!

I can understand Dimocrats pandering to illegals. After all, if they can keep them from assimilating (blilingual education, multiculturism), they can keep them poor and uneducated and have new victims to reside on the Dimocrat plantation (and you know what I mean). But we have Republicans like John McCain (RINO, Arizona), helping the Dimocrats out. John, the press likes you now but if you get the Republican nomination (which I doubt) they'll turn on you quicker than Bill Clinton can mount an intern. And you lost my vote a long time ago. If I want a Dimocrat for president I would vote for one.

Fortunately, my two Senators, Chambless and Isaacson, voted against this travesty. It's a disgrace that with a Republican majority the Senate could write a bill as bad as this one.

It looks like we have to depend on the House to do something substantial about immigration. Even there, they're only talking about a 700 mile long fence. Listen up dipshits! We need a 2000 mile long fence and we need one like Israel is building. Ted Kennedy says we can't afford it but somehow we were able to afford the Big Dig in Taxachusetts.

Turn off the spigot of illegals. Then we can drain the swamp.

There's a swamp along side the Potomac that needs draining, too. There's 535 pieces of fecal matter that need to be flushed.

Posted by: Ralph Gizzip on May 25, 2006 09:40 PM

I don't think we should build a wall ... I think we should build a moat. We have millions of unwanted illegal aliens, New Orleans needs taller levees, and Florida has an alligator over population problem. So ...

1. Dig a moat along the entire Mexican border
2. Use the dirt to raise the Levees in New Orleans
3. Once the moat is filled with water, put the over population of Florida 'gators into it.

Voila! Three problems solved.

Posted by: Vulgorilla on May 25, 2006 09:48 PM

Here's a question for you...

If the economy goes sour, unemployment usually follows...what happens to all the illegals who won't have work? Especially with a guest worker program that amounts to amnesty.

Posted by: vicki on May 25, 2006 10:47 PM

That's a great analogy, Denny!

Posted by: CharlieDelta on May 25, 2006 11:47 PM

Ralph Gizzip-
There's a cesspool in San Diego that could use a draining too! And after that a good scrubbing, and finally some sterlyization!

Hey that just gave me an idea. Every illegal caught in the United States gets MANDATORY sterylization. Men and Women. That would divert the $$$ spent on all the bullshit gummit assisted leatching to help pay for the wall!

Posted by: CharlieDelta on May 26, 2006 12:25 AM

Where's DanS? I miss that dude!

Posted by: CharlieDelta on May 26, 2006 01:56 AM

The only way to stop this abomination is to call, e-mail, or fax all the Republican Representatives and tell them to refuse to go into committee with the Senate (credit for this idea goes to Lawrence Auster). Go here to get contact information for Congressmen and Congresswomen.

Here is where you can find a list of how the Senators voted. Contact your Senators and tell them how you feel. Vote the traitors out!

Posted by: Squidley on May 26, 2006 02:16 AM

What I meant to say was sterilization.

Posted by: CharlieDelta on May 26, 2006 04:51 AM

When you're up to your ass in alligators, it's hard to remember that your initial objective was to drain the swamp.

I'm so proud of my two NC Senators (Burr & Dole) - they both voted AGAINST this travesty. All in all, I think they're both on the right track the majority of the time.

Posted by: MorningGlory on May 26, 2006 05:40 AM

I heard a good one that would make even the enviro nazi's happy. Build the fence, times two. Put them 20 feet apart and call it a wild-life sancuary. Fill it with hungry lions or alligators or sharks. The DNR can patrol it and if ya didn't know those fella's don't mess around. They can take your truck, and even look in your freezer for bribe money! :)

Posted by: lisakay on May 26, 2006 05:53 AM

Squidley, I've been saying the same thing over and over. I've done my part. I always know when I hit a nerve when writing these chicken-shits as I never get an answer. The ones that think my way I have gotten replys that thank me. Not once have I been asked for a solicitation. Now maybe I should have been more diplomatic with some and offered some sane advice instead of calling them buffoons and calling them sissies but sometimes I just can't help myself. Anyway I am up to 17 of these e mails to the senate and will start on the house now. Hastert is 1st.

Posted by: gene Hall on May 26, 2006 06:19 AM

Now I read where Arlen Specter slipped in an amendment that stipulates that we have to consult with the MEXICAN gummit before we build any fence. Now doesn't that just frost your balls.(sorry Vicki) The usual suspects along with PRESIDENT McCAIN and VICE PRESIDENT LINDSEY GRAHAM of course voted for it.
I'll include this little memo as I begin writing the house.

Posted by: gene Hall on May 26, 2006 06:28 AM

Gene Hall For presidente! Love you Large!

Posted by: lisakay on May 26, 2006 08:39 AM

I see Arlen Sphincter has stabbed us in the back again......Consult with the Mexican government before we build a wall on our side of the border!!Bullshit!!!
I remember full well in his last Senate campaign, he was in serious trouble in the primary with stiff opposition from a conservative challenger. good old Arlen put on his conservative Republican coat, told the voters he had seen the light, conned the NRA & GWB into their support, then won a close primary election . In the fall he squeaked thru against a really lame dimocrat. After assuring himself of another (6) years , he reverted to his usual turncoat form & basically has been a dimocratic clone since, against conservative values & the American people. The sad issue is that while good old Arlen is safely in the Senate, the other PA Republican Senator Rick Santorum who has always supported conservative positions is in the fight of his life against a dimocrat with a good name. Were the election held today, Bob Casey Jr the son of the former governor would probably win. All people who believe in old fashioned conservative values are probably going to lose the skilled leadership of Senator Santorum while still being saddled with the excess baggage named Arlen Spector. I do not want to disparage Bob Casey Jr because if he were running against Arlen I would vote for him & give him a chance but Rick Santorum has been an excellant Senator & deserves re-election.....Thank`s a lot for nothing Arlen!!

Posted by: dudley1 on May 26, 2006 08:55 AM

Dudley, don't forget who campaigned for Arlen. (Rick Santorum) and George W. then ole Arlen after getting reelected shit on Bush and Santorum.

Posted by: gene Hall on May 26, 2006 09:12 AM

Right, it makes no sense to spend the money to deport them when they are going to get off the bus and walk right back over the border. Talk about a spigot..like we have that kind of money to just wash down the drain.

Posted by: Kelly on May 26, 2006 09:16 AM

Now doesn't that just frost your balls.(sorry Vicki)

...there's been times people thought I had them...heh heh heh!!!!

CharlieD...DanS is on a road trip, his 4th week. He sends weekly updates to family and friends...sounds like he's having fun.

No one answered by question...what happens to all the 'guest workers' when the housing market goes bust and there aren't as many jobs?

Posted by: vicki on May 26, 2006 09:23 AM

Kelly - That's why I advocate building a fence before we do anything else. Then, we can work on deportation and a guest worker program.

dudley1 - Remember when the current session of Congress started there was a move afoot to replace Sphincter as chairman of the judiciary committee? Bush talked the Republicans in the Senate into letting him be chairman.

Posted by: Denny on May 26, 2006 09:42 AM

vicki - They go on welfare.

Posted by: Denny on May 26, 2006 09:45 AM

Happily the two Senators from OK voted no on this mess. I would have voted against mine next time if he had not.

Wow, did you hear what Coburn had to say about the bill? He has the right idea it's just that he's outnumbered.

Posted by: Titan Mk6B on May 26, 2006 09:58 AM

Senator Coburn ought to be talked into running for president. McCain and Frist should run for president of MEXICO. What a bunch of weak-dicks.

Posted by: gene Hall on May 26, 2006 10:47 AM

Denny & Gene..... GWB sure was stupid to have stood behind Sphincter , as for Santorum, I know for a fact his support was predicated on promise`s of co-operation with several Republican issues namely Social Security privitization & the opening of ANWR to oil exploration. As I stated & you reminded me, Sphincter reverted to the dimocratic imitatation he perfected , dumped on Bush & abandoned the Republican base who reluctantly gave him another chance. Me, I voted for the other guy in the primary, but with regret voted for Sphincter in the fall. I should have cast a write in for Donald Duck.

Posted by: dudley1 on May 26, 2006 11:27 AM

Vicki, NO ONE ANSWERED MY QUESTION.......We have a Bill of Right`s which prohibits the government from quartering troops in our homes, however as the liberal dimocrats think the constitution is a living document subject to change & it has no prohibition against "Guest Worker`s" ..... Pay attention , Very close attention! I would not be surprised if somebody like "Hillary' the world`s smartest women & attorney didn`t champion the concept.

Teresa, Hillary`s blond & liberal.... What do you think?

Posted by: dudley1 on May 26, 2006 11:54 AM

Wow...I followed the link to write to my congress-critter..forgetting that it will do no good...Cynthia McKinney, here's one for your trash can-

Ms. McKinney-
I realize that you and I are on polar ends of the political / relational / business spectrum which leads me to believe that this email will simply be filed away by your intern. However, let it be known that you have a duty to protect this country and it's CITIZENS. Note this does not say future citizens, people you wish were citizens, future democrats, etc. but CITIZENS. Defined by their status as legal residents of this country. The dichotomy, of course, illegal residents would not qualify as citizens.

Build the wall or dig a mote on our border with Mexico, all of it. Refuse to pander to the groups calling for amnesty and secure our country. It is your sovreign duty. My expectations for this call to action are zero, given your history.

Sincerely,

Posted by: Cog on May 26, 2006 12:08 PM

dudley1 and vicki - I often wonder why Teresa's a liberal also since it is liberal policies that have led to education problems and lax immigration enforcement which she is very rabid about. i.e Her sons being outnumbered by Hispanics in school and probably a good portion of them are here illegally. All I can think of is her irrational hatred of GWB because of the Iraq war which pisses her off because she has a son going to Iraq. Bet I hear from her about this comment!

For the record, that and tax cuts are the only reason I voted for Dubya. Domestically he has been a huge disappointment. Let's impeach him and get Cheney to run the country. That would really set Teresa off as I think she hates Cheney even more than she does Dubya.

You notice the real conservatives, like Tom Coburn and my two Senators voted against this abortion of a bill. One of my sister's senators, Lindsey Graham (McCain's buttboy) is another one of the RINO'S who voted for it.

Teresa - How did your senators vote?

Posted by: Denny on May 26, 2006 12:28 PM

As expected, the traitorous senators from the People's Republic of Mexifornia voted for the abomination.

Here's an interesting take on the mess. A reader at View From the Right analyzed votes by religious affiliation. There was a positive correlation between a senator's religion and his vote.

Before anyone jumps on me for some sort of imagined bigotry, read the article and see why this is one reasonable way to approach the problem.

In any case, in addition to contacting your own Congresscritter, put the heat on all House Republicans to refuse to compromise on their well-crafted legislation (HR 4437). S.2611 is "the most radical, the most dishonest, the most nation-transforming and nation-destroying measure in the country’s history." Don't let it become law.

Posted by: Squidley on May 26, 2006 01:08 PM

I checked on how Teresa's senators voted.

Ben Nelson (R. NE) Nay
Chuck Hagel (RINO, NE) Yea

Posted by: Denny on May 26, 2006 01:10 PM

Denny, I had great expectation for GWB & supported him believing that at last we had the right man to lead the Republicans to even more of a conservative slant. My reasons were first, he was a player when the Republicans self destructed with their contract for America, Second he had taken on Ann Richards in Texas ,won & then gained broad support from even the dimocrats leading to a true landslide in his second term. Third I felt he would & could not repeat the mistakes the Republicans made during his father`s presidency.

I was obviously wrong in that third & last assumption. While I support the stand he made with Iraq , the war on terror & his initial attempts for SS reform , the truth is as you said domestically he has failed on a grand scale. The immigration cluster f--k currently underway is a classic Keystone Kops production. The only good thing to come out of this debacle is many Senator`s & Congressmen are at last in the light of day with their real agenda on display subject to scutiny.

Impeachment?? He has done nothing which rises to that level despite what the dimocrats would like to have happen as payback for Clinton. Any attempt to do so would deflect attention for the War on Terror & Iraq making us to vulnerable to attack.

Cheney as President?? Certainly he has the experience, with the neccessary qualifications both for domestic & international agendas. But I think his health problems would rule out this ever happening. Beside`s the LSM would be foaming at the mouth in rabid frenzy again paralyzing public awareness of real problems with their attacks. But construction of the wall on the Mexican border would be well underway & the immigration service would be busy rounding up illegals

As to Teresa`s failure to correctly assign fault to many of the problem`s she rants about as dimocratic in origin , this is a common failing of most liberals but I think someone who is in sync on as many issues as she is will come around one day. Beside`s , I know from experience that Nurse`s have reasoning abilities far in excess of the norm. I cite my wife as an example , A nurse for 43 year`s , a former Air Force Officer, Three successful children & had the good common sense to marry me. Well, strike the last qualification but it did have a nice ring to it.

How about OUR two senators voted against the bill!

Dudley 1, I disagree with the assumption that Hillary is a blonde. The most Rev. Al Sharpton proclaimed that categorically that she was not a blonde. And dammit how can one argue with him. Ole Bill couldn't argue with him so he passed it on to Quasi Mfume who refused to comment. Ron Brown was not available for comment.

Oh great! now we find out that there is a measles outbreak in Boston. Haven't heard about this disease in what "50 Years." TB is making a comeback in LA. It is disclosed that it is mostly prevelant in the --Sushhh--hispanic neighborhood. Fucking remarkable! I just wonder how long it will be till the UN or Harry Reid, John McCain and Nancy Pussyilosi demand that we have to take care of this plague as it is just un-fucking fair to these poor people south of the border to catch this disease from these damn rich Americans as they invade our borders for a better life. They should be given full health care! Oh excuse me, they already have that. And I saved 10 fucking cents on a head of lettuce. Is this a great country or not!

dudley1 - Of course I was joking about the impeachment of Dubya, but wouldn't it be funny seeeing all the liberals with Cheney Derangement Syndrome?

Gene - I brought up the TB outbreak with my friend Cindy, who is a nurse, and who also has a friend at the CDC. The increase in TB is NOT due to Mexican immigration. It can be laid at the feet of AIDS and the corresponding weakening of the immune system. TB is more prevalent in the north where people spend more time indoors.

Posted by: Denny on May 26, 2006 04:57 PM

Denny, maybe so but why was it reported (LA TIMES) that it was in LA co. that had a rate increase of (76%). I may be wrong on the percentage but I think it is close.
Anyway my cure for AIDS is just to set on your ass and keep your mouth shut and after a few years it will go away.

Viva Mexico! Viva los inmigrantes!

I want to applaud those Republicans who have shown the foresight to help illegal immigrants to become citizens and to pave the way for more Mexicans to immigrate to the U.S. In addition to some great Republicans in the Senate, I just read today that Gov. Schwarzenegger is moving more to the side of illegal immigrants, including refusing to commit his national guard troops to militarize the border, at least for the time being.

I know you guys don't like the thought of having a bunch of Mexicans in "your" country, but you'd better get used to it. Pretty soon your neighbors, your co-workers, even your boss will be Latino. Don't be surprised if your daughters or granddaughters marry Latinos.

I think you should embrace this new America by joining in and learning Spanish:

Ben's a troll; let's not feed it.

dudley1, the POTUS swears an oath to uphold the laws and Constitution of the country. W has failed to do this by refusing to guard our border, and by refusing to protect us against invasion by illegal aliens. IMHO, W has committed an impeachable offense. However, if the D-crats take control, they would probably try to impeach him for Iraq, the War on Terror, or some other imagined offense.

Denny, AIDS is one factor in the increase in TB. Mumps, measles, and hepatitis are on the rise too, and all are found disproportionately among unvaccinated illegal aliens who bring their third-world hygiene with them.

Posted by: Squidley on May 26, 2006 06:54 PM

Squidley, While you & I do seem to agree on most things....among them historically our borders have been for the most part open, it is time to lock them up, both north & south.

I do not believe given the historical open border policy , GWB has committed an impeachable offense, wrong yes, stupid yes, impeachable no.

As to failure to protect us against illegal aliens, yes he is , adequately no , better then any previous president yes, is this an excuse for his sorry performance no.

When I review the performance & presidential merit of the last 60 years only Reagan , Truman & perhaps Nixon exceeded him in accomplishment.

Now before you liberal moonbats scream in unison Kennedy, Kennedy, Roosevelt, Roosevelt..... Kennedy`s only achievement other then the peace core was to be assassinated. Roosevelt does not fit into the 60 year time frame. The other dimocrats, Puleeeze!!!

When does a Mexican become a Spaniard?

When your daughter marries one.

We used to have a moat on the southern border. It's called the Rio Grande. Damming the Colorado dried it up.

Ben's not even good enough to make Asshole of the Week. He's a toned down version of some booger eatin' moh-ron who made AOTW just recently. C'mon Ben, surely you can do better that that. You need to put some more Spanish in your post. As for a boss being Latino? In the field I worked in, you had to know how to speaka and writa da English. Funny, I didn't work with too many Latinos. They were all out picking vegetables and cutting lawns.

Posted by: Denny on May 26, 2006 09:47 PM

Denny... eight years ago when I worked for CDC, most illegal Mexican immigrants tested positive for TB and were taking oral meds.

Staff were required to test yearly for TB and take hepatitis vaccine...or lose your job.

I'm gonna be real blunt here, am I upset with the illegal decision? F*ck yes! My kids are a minority in their own classrooms. In Nebraska no less. I can't even go get groceries with out some spic speaking in hispanic. How the heck do I know what they are saying?

Posted by: Teresa on May 26, 2006 10:56 PM

My kids are a minority in their own classrooms.

Who gives a shit? Who says that whites have to be in the majority in every community? Do you dislike brown people so much that you hate it when there are more of them in your community than whites? There's nothing wrong with Latinos. Get used to them. Whites have no civil right to be always in the majority everywhere. Demographics change. Get used to it.

I can't even go get groceries with out some spic speaking in hispanic. How the heck do I know what they are saying?

Who cares what language people are speaking in a grocery store? And why would anyone care? Do you really dislike hearing the Spanish language that much?

By the way, simply dislike having people of another race around you is racism, by definition. Having a problem with illegal immigration isn't racist, per se. But disliking having "too many" of them in your community is definitely racist. And you really shouldn't be so proud of your racism. It is a failing that you should work on.

Posted by: Ben on May 26, 2006 11:14 PM

Teresa - Where is your liberal sense of tolerance and compassion? Just askin'.

Ah Ben - The magic cry of racism! If you would have used that earlier, you may have made Asshole of the Week. Fear not. There is still next week. Next time try calling Teresa a Nazi. Or better yet, call me one.

Posted by: Denny on May 26, 2006 11:18 PM

Whoa Denny, I didn't say she is racist because of any position she has on illegal immigration. She is racist because she doesn't like having Latinos live in her community. She's racist because she doesn't like people in her town speaking Spanish. Explain to me how disliking Latinos is NOT racist.

Posted by: Ben on May 26, 2006 11:38 PM

Hey Ben, you ignorant lettuce-picker...I, along with most people here have NO, ZERO, problem with latinos living here, under 3 conditions-

B. Learn to speak ENGLISH!!!
C. Keep your mexican flags in MEXICO!!!

And I'll add a forth:

Quit protesting and thinking you deserve the same rights as real Americans! It ain't gonna happen, senor, as long as the vast majority of REAL Americans are alive, and we STILL are the VAST majority, and WE can decide to open OUR country to white people from other parts of the world, and turn off the spigot letting the ignorant, stupid, uneducated brown hordes invade us, and that time is fast approaching, amigo!

Apparently this isn't true for Teresa. She doesn't like Latinos in her community. She didn't say she doesn't like illegals. She doesn't like there being so many Latinos there, period. She doesn't know which of them can speak English and which can't. She said she doesn't like hearing people speak Spanish in her grocery store. Sure they need to speak Spanish to compete well in the marketplace, but there's nothing wrong with them speaking Spanish sometimes, particularly to each other. And Tereas didn't say anything about anyone in her community waving a Mexican flag.

I'm not saying you all are racists. I've only seen this racism from Teresa who doesn't like having Latinos in her town and doesn't like hearing Spanish spoken. THAT is racism plain and simple.

FYI, Ben-dover uses a fake email address. The cowardness of these liberal losers never fails to amaze me. Or you all. If I may be so bold as to speak for you...

Quick question, how is not giving my real e-mail address cowardess? I'll discuss there here. Why do we need to do it by e-mail? How is it more corageous to debate this via e-mail? It isn't. Why is it incumbent on me to give out my e-mail address to the general public? Think before you type, Robbie.

Posted by: Ben on May 27, 2006 03:01 AM

It is not necessarily racist to dislike having Latinos in your neighborhood.

People naturally prefer to be around others who look like them. Even little children show this preference as soon as they're able to choose their playmates. It's not racism; it's innate human nature, which the PC liberals/leftists wish to deny.

There is nothing inherently racist about wanting to see your own race continue and thrive. On the contrary, it is natural. We certainly encourage it in all the minorities, don't we. Why is it evil or racist when we whites want to preserve our race and culture?

Historically, the U.S. is a white-majority country. As recently as 1965, the population was 89% white. The PC leftists/liberals have tried to destroy their own race by showing their "tolerance" for all minorities while simultaneously demonizing their own group.

Mexicans in America are an alien people with alien customs. Their immigration should be limited simply because they are non-white. Unfortunately, they and their co-languagists are here at a time when we foolishly celebrate "diveristy." They are here in such numbers that they are able to preserve their alien culture and foreign language. Worst of all, the Mexicans that come here are the dregs of their society, at the bottom economically, intellectually, educationally, hygienically, and civilizationally.

No doubt this makes me "racist" to some. I say it is civilizationist, it is citizenist, it is traditionlist. I believe the Mexicans should have their race, language, and culture--in Mexico. Can we have the American race, language, and culture in our own country, please?

Posted by: Squidley on May 27, 2006 05:13 AM

Teresa, forgive me if I misinterpreted the post you made that Ben seems to want to keep harping on. Ben, I don't think Teresa has a problem with the Mexican being here per se. If she's like me and more than 80% of the rest of this country, she has a problem with their failure and outright disregard to do something ALL of our forefathers did before them. ASSIMILATE. My great grandparents came over on the boat from Europe. One group from Germany, the other France (I hate admitting that). Neither spoke English when they got her, but guess what. Based on a diary my German family left, they had to learn fast if they wanted to eat, live and work. And that, according to them, made them appreciate their travels to Ellis Island. Oh yeah, they did it legally too. So Ben, based on the tone of your posts, I have a feeling you are just a troll trying ot get a rise out of the rest of us. I think this is a good thing as I personally believe arguing and disagreeing isn't only a way to get a point across, but a way to keep one's mind sharp and focused. I suspect you probably don't "believe" a lot of the comments you are making, just trying to stir the pot a little.

Article IV, section 4 of the US Consitution:
"The United States shall [...] protect each [State] against Invasion (full text here).

W is not only not protecting California, Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas from invasion, he is actively promoting their invasion (and, by proxy, the rest of the U.S.) by a country hostile to the U.S.: Mexico.

You're right that previous presidents have also failed to protect us, but none of them have been open borders true believers like W is. None of them have urged the Congress to pass legislation to abrogate our own sovereignty like W has.

I don't want a President Cheney, but he'd probably be less objectionable than W.

Squidley, again we agree on most things ,probably 90% or better but in protecting against an invasion, it is more then probable the constitutional intent for protection against invasion meant to repel armed forces from or acting in concert with a foreign power.I guess this is why we have a Supreme Court so as to prevent individual interpretation arriving at opposing opinion for the same constitutional point.

In the present issue I agree the illegals who are here should be rounded up,sent home, then a genuine secure fence be erected to prevent future illegal entrance to the American heartland .I stand by my opinion the current situation still does not in my opinion subject to a revised interpretation as might be made by the Supreme Court make for a case of invasion as defined by the constitution. Let me know as to when you are proceeding with your petition to the Supreme Court for an opinion of interpretation.

GWB now is reluctantly on the path to acceptance of the concept of illegals must go but will fight or delay full implementation in an attempt to appease the latino voters. I think as do you the latino voters who have complied with the legal requirements to come here are in the same corner as are you & I on this issue. The final resolution in true Washington fashion will be less than satisfactory & will remain for resolution at a future date by a future president.

The reason Ben doesn't want to give out his e-mail address is because he's using multiple names to post. For example he's Abdullah, Ben, Rex, Hal, Joe, Carl, and a host of other names. He thinks that posting fake e-mail addresses will allow him to continue this charade.

Probably not as much as Mexicans dislike White people, and would hate it if there were more white people in THEIR communities?

Teresa, did you just round second base? Congratulations! (And I mean that sincerely)

Ben/Abdullard/Pathetic Little Brat, as expected, completely fails to understand what's going on. I'll explain it with little words and short sentences to make it easier. However, I doubt anyone can undo your leftist/liberal/crypto-Marxist brainwashing.

1. Until 1965, America was a country almost entirely made of people originally from England and many other Western European countries.
2. Even though their ancestors came from Europe, they became Americans. America is a nation of Americans.
3. The people from Europe blended to a degree, but the main culture remained based on England, Protestantism, and Western civilization.
4. Race is real. It exists. It has effects on many parts of who people are. Race is more than just what you can see.
5. Your physical body is an indispensible part of who you are.
6. Every nation on Earth has the right to preserve its own culture. The people are central to the culture. If the people disappear, so does the culture. If the language disappears, so does the culture.
7. Small numbers of non-white, non-Protestant, non-Western people can be incorporated into America, as long as they aspire to the norms of the majority. Despite racism, it worked pretty well for blacks before the 1960s. It also worked for Catholic Italians, etc., and is working now for (at least some) Christian Koreans.
8. America is being overrun by non-white, non-Protestant, non-Western people. This invasion is destroying our culture. It threatens to make us minorities in our own country.

This is why people don't want too many immigrants, especially not illegal aliens, and most especially those who not only don't want to assimilate, but actually denigrate our culture.

I realize that the level of this discussion is far too high for wee Ben/Addullard/whatever infantile name he likes, but I hope that others who aren't sure what the fuss is about might come to see why people are upset, even if they don't agree.
