Muslims who want to live under Islamic Sharia law were told on Wednesday to get out of Australia, as the government targeted radicals in a bid to head
off potential terror attacks.
A day after a group of mainstream Muslim leaders pledged loyalty to Australia and her Queen at a special meeting with Prime Minister John Howard, he and his Ministers made it clear that extremists would face a crackdown.
Treasurer Peter Costello, seen as heir apparent to Howard, hinted that some radical clerics could be asked to leave the country if they did not accept that Australia was a secular state, and its laws were made by parliament. "If those are not your values, if you want a country which has Sharia law or a theocratic state, then Australia is not for you! he said on national television.
"I'd be saying to clerics who are teaching that there are two laws governing people in Australia: one the Australian law and another the Islamic law, that is false. If you can't agree with parliamentary law, independent courts, democracy, and would prefer Sharia law and have the opportunity to go to another country, which practices it, perhaps, then, that's a better option", Costello said.
Asked whether he meant radical clerics would be forced to leave, he said those with dual citizenship could possibly be asked to move to
the other country.
Education Minister Brendan Nelson later told reporters that Muslims who did not want to accept local values should "clear off.
Basically people who don't want to be Australians, and who don't want to live by Australian values and understand them, well then, they can basically clear off", he said.
Separately, Howard angered some Australian Muslims on Wednesday by saying he supported spy agencies monitoring the nation's mosques.

Denny, great post. I agree with sending 'em back to Shitholestan, but the Moslem invasion of Europe is almost as big a problem for us as the Moslem invasion of America is. Europe is part of Western civilization, and the loss of Europe would be a tremendous blow to us and the rest of the world.

The problem boils down to excessive immigration. We need to pause immigration for a while, let those who are here assimilate to us--not the other way around. We need to slow the monstrous growth that immigation is causing. Excessive population growth is causing all kinds of strains on our society: not just the stress on infrastructure, but also on how we deal with each other.

So what's responsible for excessive immigration? The desire to not discriminate. "Look!", the politically-correct say to each other, "I'm morally superior because I don't discriminate!" This desire of liberals to show that they are morally superior to other liberals has gone so far as to be self-destructive: in order to demonstrate how non-discriminatory and therefore superior they are, they will do things that are culturally suicidal, like let unassimilable aliens come into their country in huge numbers, and at the same time, bend over backwards to accomodate them. This accomodation go so far as to be discriminatory against their own culture--just to show their "tolerance," which proves their moral pureness.

The antidote? Our own reawakening to our value as a people and a culture. It's about saying that Western culture is good, and that we are good people.

Liberalism will die, because its suicidal nature is unsustainable. The question is whether it will kill its host culture first, or if we can kill it before it kills us.

Squidley, liberalism will never die on its own. We have to kill it as if it is a plague. It is a rotten virus that the Europeans cannot handle. One would think that appeasement should have gone away after two world wars and the loss of so many people. It was all caused by liberalism and the phony beliefs of a panacea if people can just trust each other.Never in history has that happened. It is human nature never to trust even your neighbor until you see his soul. The US should adopt a policy to never enter into any agreement with any country that possesses a dictator or a religious state. That would include Israel. Any leader of any country that wears a uniform of any kind should be dismissed as unwarranted as a friend. That would save us a lot of money and would never make more enemies as we already have too many.

The reason for the formation of the state of Israel was because 6 million Jews were exterminated by the Nazi's and their sympathisers just because they were jewish, along with another 7 million other "non-desirables".

gene, I gotta disagree with you on Israel. It's a country composed primarily of Jews, but it's not a religious state in the way that, for instance, Saudi Arabia is. Israel is a Western state, in the same way that Oz and Kiwiland are: based on the same great Western tradition, with the rule of law, a consitution, democratic traditions, individual rights, and everything else that makes a modern society worthwhile, at least from a legal point of view.
