Duncan experience indicates that mixed units are weakened by the male instinct to protect females. If an all female unit is in contact the male units start behaving in ways that are focused on protecting the female unit and make poor tactical decisions and their focus goes off the overall battle.

This happens in units from individuals within a section up to company level and it was recomended that the minimum unit size be a battallion.

Thats was an old study but is was an IDF one and they certainly seem to have the most experience.

I spent two years in Israel back in the late 70's. I know these women and they are bold and know how to handle weapons. When they know what they want they go after it - no shyness.
