The Complete Version

Thanks to Nawglan for sending me the link to the video of complete version of Trace Bundy playing Pachelbel's Canon in D.

As if the regular chimes he does are not impressive enough, he does some pull off chimes in near the end that are far out!

I'm kind of surprised that he's playing on what looks to be a regular acoustic guitar just miked. I'd think that a really good electric (like a PRS Hollowbody with piezo pickup) would make this sound very much the same but much easier to get the sound out of. But I speak as a neophyte guitarist. Even at my advanced age.

That was incredible. I'd like to recommend checking out Lenny Breau (if you haven't already). He was also incredible with the chimes. "This Nearly Was Mine" is an incredible example of Breau's chiming. And for BlogDog, a good guitar and mic will usually sound better than a piezo. A microphone lets you capture the resonance of the wood, but I'd love to have that PRS hollowbody you speak of!

Thanks for the info. I have a PRS Hollowbody II but without the piezo. Now I have to practice, practice, practice to live up to it!

Impressive. Wonder how it would sound with kazoo accompaniment?

Check out British guitarist Richard Smith. Period.
