Early Halloween Card and Jimmah Carter

This card was sent to me by Woody.

I thought it might have sumpin' to do with Jimmah Carter. The most incomptent president of the 20th Century just will not STFU!

With North Korea possibly ready to detonate a second nuclear device and calling the implementation of U.N. sanctions an act of war, former President Jimmy Carter reflected Tuesday night on his role 12 years ago in the effort to defuse tensions over the Communist regime's nuclear program.

Oh! Ya mean where he got Kim Yuck Fou's father to sign a worthless agreement that North Korea violated before the ink was even dry? Is that the role he's talking about?

He is not sure that what he did in 1994

Just like he was not sure of what he did the four years he ran the country.

—- going to North Korea to negotiate a settlement with the approval of then-President Bill Clinton

Getting blowjobs from Monica. Sure was a good thing he was not IM'ing pages with salacious messages. Then he would have had to resign, right?

—- could be done today.

And that is a good thing.

"I think as far as North Korea is concerned, they would be willing [to negotiate],"

As long as we sent an idiot like Jimmah over there to do the negotiating.

Carter said. "But I don't think there is a chance in the world that the U.S. government would approve I, or someone else, to go negotiate with North Korea."

Because we don't want you to go over there and fuck up again like you did in 1994.

In 1994, Carter accepted an invitation from North Korean leader Kim Il-sung and negotiated an agreement in which North Korea halted its nuclear program and allowed inspections by the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Except North Korea did not halt its nuclear program!

"This country owes a great amount of debt to the Carters for that trip, which was historical," Laney said. "President Carter saved us from a war."

GMAFB! Carter save us from a war? What the fuck is this guy smoking?

Creekmore said Carter's work in North Korea led to the tiny nation's shutting down its nuclear program —- at least until 2002, when President Bush labeled the nation part of an "axis of evil."

Bullshit! Bullshit! Bullshit!

"When that agreement fell apart, North Korea kicked out inspectors and recranked up its reactors," Creekmore said. "North Korea has accumulated enough plutonium for six to 10 weapons."

North Korea never shut down its nuclear program. It went on from 1994 until the present date.

"They don't respond well to threats, intimidation and punishment," Carter said.

Yeah. Appeasement works well. That's why they have nukes. Thanks Jimmah, you fucking asshole!

Carter said despite tough talk, war is less likely than it was 12 years ago —- largely because North Korea is developing weapons and the United States would be less likely to attack a country with nuclear capabilities.

I'm amazed at the absolute stupidity of that statement! All right! Let's give Iran nukes. War would be less likely with the Islamo-fascist wackos if they have nukes. This asshole was once president of this country. The Dimocrats consider him an elder statesman.

Be afraid. Be very afraid. If the Dims take the House and Senate they might actually listen to Jimmah's advice.

Jimmy Carter - can we think of a bigger idiot in the entire world? All those years ago - I tried to vote against him. I was away at college and made an extra trip home to vote absentee - first time I could vote and I tried to keep him out.

He has only gotten more rotten with age and yet he keeps flapping his gums. We can only hope he'll finally either go completely senile (how could we tell... would be the problem) or drop over dead (we'd never be so lucky). The fact that anyone takes him seriously should scare the living crap out of everyone.

Teresa......

Hey! Jimmah is a former President, Icon of the liberal left & example of current dimocratic thinking. How could you ever find fault with him given all the insults you have laid on Bush Jr?

I knew there was hope for you , welcome to the rarified atmosphere of conservative clear thinking.

We need to remember ........if the dimocrats get back in power, this is what we can expect from them.

Ah-ha! Denny was right, as always... Teresa seems to have some clear thinking brain cells. Gotta love her. Thing is, when jimmah ran, I was in elementary school. Our school had a kid vote, I voted for Ford. I liked Ford Trucks and I hated Carter's syrupy sweet voice. He's still a boob to this day, and I still like Ford trucks :)

I forgot to add the bit about the USS Jimmah Carter Submarine. It's a top of the line boomer. A bit of irony? As was his Nobel Peace Prize.
Carter proclaimed himself a nuke scientist, he was a nuke on a diesel sub. He's a laughing stock.
Me thinks that he should just STFU and tend to spreading his manure on his peanut farm, I wouldn't even want him swinging a hammer on my habitat if I were homeless.

I knew Carter is an idiot but WOW....

"Carter said despite tough talk, war is less likely than it was 12 years ago —- largely because North Korea is developing weapons and the United States would be less likely to attack a country with nuclear capabilities."

So maybe Carter meant for North Korea to have nukes all along. He implies that we are the cause of war. So why would he have done anything to prevent the NK aquisition of nuclear weapons?
I wonder if he committed high treason in 1994?

We really dodged the bullet that the Soviet Union didn't attack when he was President. He would have handed them the keys to the White House.

Soon he will be talking to the worms and we won't have to listen to his senile babble.

That card is so funny. Except the sound of the crickets and the owl scared my dogs!!

Carter got a sub (SSN 23), he served on one. Bush (sr.) got a carrier... (CVN 77) same reason. How come Reagan got a carrier (CVN 76)? He made a movie about one... but never left Hollywood. And an airport? Wasn't he the one to fire all the air traffic controllers? Always love the irony in that... every time I fly in or out of National (I still can't call it Reagan Airport).

Always thought they should have named a film unit after him or something like that, not a Carrier.

Pat - Reagan was 4F due to his vision. That's why he didn't serve in the military. The air traffic controllers were fired for participating in an illegal strike.

All Reagan did was win the Cold War. I guess that should amount to sumpin'.

dudley1 - This is a different Teresa. She has a brain and a blog. I met her this weekend.

Posted by: Denny on October 19, 2006 06:39 PM

Teresa is going to wonder what is wrong with people at GOC. I couldn't understand the change of heart, 'cause I was sure that Teresa hated all of us!

Posted by: vicki on October 19, 2006 10:41 PM

The other Teresa doesn't stop by anymore. I pissed her off and she left.

Posted by: Denny on October 19, 2006 10:53 PM

LOL - I didn't get back to this one until now... oops - maybe I should sign - "the other Teresa" instead. I had no idea someone else was commenting under the same name. *grin* And a leftie at that... whew!

The "NEW" Teresa.....

Sorry I mistook you for the first Teresa, she was a good person but a bit addled when it came to political orientation. Welcome to Denny`s site ,a lot of good people here with a super host. Even Teresa the first would be welcomed back.

Denny....where is Prosper? Did he quit or just sulking?

Posted by: dudley1 on October 22, 2006 05:37 PM

I think Prosper got a little miffed when I called Godwin's law on him in another thread and closed it down. My site. My rules. He sent me a note calling Godwin's Law on me. He'll be back. He's actually a pretty nice guy who has been indoctrinated in PC, multicultural liberal ideas. He reminds me of the Jews in Germany in the 30's who didn't believe that the country of Bach, Beethoven, and Goethe could contemplate the barbarism that took over Germany. He is in denial about the growing Moose-lime threat in France. He has a wife and three lovely children and I honestly worry about him and his family.

He's always welcome here because he is polite and abides by the rules. Some of the people on my side of the debate should be so polite.
