It's the economy stupid! Exactly what was the point of your thread. Please don't tell me you think the economy is not thriving or is doing poorly. This country is seeing economic growth the likes of never before. I had a dimwitted liberal come in the other day complaining that in today's economy, he had trouble making enough money to pay his bills. I looked at him increduously and made the comment that if he couldn't make a decent living in today's economy, he needs to find a new career choice. What do I know, maybe the guy is a door to door salesman. But my take is this, if you can't make a living in today's society that is smoking economically, you should probably make a career change. Had you bought stock in DOW companies during the depression, you would have MADE money. Even during the worst years in recent history, the Dow has performed. The price of the stock may have dropped, but those companies continued to pay dividends. And thats where the bottom line is. Some people play the numbers game, and buy and sell constantly. My grandfather turned a $200 purchase of Ford stock into a million dollar portfolio. my step grandmothers family blew it into nothing.

The only real winner`s then are the tax people who spend your money on lazy bastard`s who never performed an honest day of labor in their miserable life`s & your heirs who get to go on a spending spree.
