oh my goodness, i'm jealous! that sounds like so much fun. elisson? sweet sommeliers, did you warn them? creme brulee, baked brie, yummmmmmmm, can i come?
and would it be too lowly to suggest you toast the blown eyed blodgers this evening? they wouldn't be too upity to toast you guilders, ya know?
Posted by: shoe on October 23, 2006 01:15 PMshoe - Elisson and I will drink to the Blown-Eyes.
Jon - Sorry. I don't know you so I cannot take you as a guest.
Posted by: Denny on October 23, 2006 01:46 PMS'OK, Denny. If I ever see you at Green's, I'm gonna give you a lesson on beer. You may know wine, but Shiner Bock?!? My god, man. That's two steps away from Iron City Light or Schaefer Light!
What can I say? Shiner is the offical beer of the Blown-Eyed Blodgers. When I'm not at blodgemeets I may drink only one bottle of beer a week and it is either Moosehead or Shiner.
Posted by: Denny on October 23, 2006 02:18 PMGreat news, go and have a glass for me.
Posted by: Catfish on October 23, 2006 09:28 PMCat, we had several glasses for you, and they were all damn fine.
Great evening, great people, great food and wine. Gotta hand it to Denny - he can get down in the dirt with the Blown-Eyeds, but he can hang with the Hoity-Toity Crowd real good.
Posted by: Elisson on October 23, 2006 11:16 PMAbout time your Guild "lowered" itself enough to try some Willamette valley offerings. With variety like that, may I hope that within the decade you might try some Columbia Valley wines?
