Cards Win!

Cards win! Cards win! Cards win! Cards win! Cards win! Cards win!

Of course Detroit pretty much gave them the games with all their errors, but still...

Cards win! Cards win! Cards win! Cards win! Cards win! Cards win!

And to all my Atlanta readers, didja see what real baseball fans look like? St. Louis is a baseball town with real baseball fans. Alas, Atlanta is not.

Hey--the Cardinals didn't win anything. They stunk almost as bad as my hometown Detroit Tigers. Except the Tigers *gave* them 3 of the Cardinals wins since our &^%$#@*! pitchers can't field and throw the ball!

Piss on the Cardinals.

OK. Howza 'bout this?

Tigers lose! Tigers lose! Tigers lose!

Your pitchers need to learn how to field bunts and throw accurately to the base.

Congrats to the Cards! I remember getting in trouble at school as a kid while listening to Bob Gibson pitch for the Cards on my little portable AM radio. Gibson was a bitch.

Fuck the fuckin' Cardinals! I hope they all get venereal diseases. Those cocksuckers. I now despise the St. Louis Cardinals fuckin more than the Dallas Cowboys, More than the L.A. Lakers, More than the New Jersey Devils, and yes ladies and gents more than the Atlanta Braves. Fuck 'em. It's a tainted victory. I'm just venting. Lets Go Met$! (In '07).

For the life of me, I couldn't figger out how the so-called "experts" thought the Tigers would rip through the Cards....let's see....the Cards were last in the Series two years ago, the Tigers were last in the playoffs 19 years ago. The Tigers were coming off five straight losing seasons, including the second worst all-time in ML history, and had five rookies in the starting line-up. Leyland did a helluva job convincing them they were a good team and to not worry about anything (i.e., the next game/series etc.) other than playing hard for nine innings. What he couldn't teach them was what only experience teaches: how to deal with the spotlight and pressure of the biggest stage in baseball. With arguably the two strongest pitching staffs in baseball, it was no surprise that most of the hard-to-come-by runs were the result of good managing or nervous errors. Kudos to LaRussa and his club - they did what was necessary to win and looked like a determined bunch of players who came together as a team and found ways to win throughout the playoffs. But beware of the Motown Pussies next year! With what they learned this year, plus whatever moves Dombrowski makes during the winter to strengthen them, and having the residual bitter taste of defeat acting as a catalyst to reach the top, they should be the team to beat in '07.

Dr. Chappy, I don't appreciate the pussy comment. Tigers are young, we will be back. I give total kudos to the Cards, they won on our errors. Shame on us, great for them. Look for the Detroit Tigers to come back.

Your'e totally right about Detroit not making the plays when they had to, especially the pitchers.... But congradz to the good guys!!!!

On a related note, Denny if you ever see this. Go to youtube.com and type in "wehogirls Cardinals" you'll find a video from a upset cub fan. I love it!
