Book Review

A few months ago, I was offered a complimentary copy of this book.

book.jpg

Of course I accepted. It was free. I finished it a few weeks back. I've been meaning to write a review for some time now.

This book is about the various methods the Left employs to try and transform society into their vision of a socialist utopia.

Before reading this book, it would help to know sumpin' about Antonio Gramschi. Scroll down until you come to the part about him. What is important to know about Gramschi is that he felt that a violent Marxist/Leninist revolution would fail. Instead he advocated a gradual revolution involving infiltration and subversion of institutions.

C.Gradual revolution: infiltrate, Co-opt, Subvert
  1. Infiltrate the State: elective & appointed office; judgeships
  2. Infiltrate the military: enlist & subvert from within
  3. Infiltrate justice: undermine and discredit state constitutions
  4. Infiltrate education: professors & administrators
  5. Infiltrate & discredit religion: scoundrels as clergymen
  6. Register, then license, then confiscate all privately held weapons
D.Form or infiltrate international organizations to promote goals such as "global understanding," "economic development," "transfer of resources"

Holy crap! Does this stuff sound familiar or what?

What Mgrdechian does in this book, is show us many of the methods that liberals use to follow Gramschi's handbook.

Mgrdechian uses liberals as a synonym for leftists. I dump on liberals all the time, but not all of them are hard core leftists. There are three types of liberals:

1. Idealists who think that gummint can solve all problems and if we just give money to the poor and give the Islamo-fascist nutjobs what they want, everything will be peaceful and we can all sit around the fire and sing Kumbaya. They have a tendency to think with their hearts instead of their brains. A prime example of this is ex-reader Teresa (the liberal with the big boobs).

2. Idiots. Barbra Streisand. Woody Harrelson. Ted Danson. The Ditzey Twits. Insert your Hollywood liberal here. These people also think that when we become the United Socialist States of America, they will still be the privileged elite.

3. Leftists, socialists, and rat bastard commies. These are the ones who want to destroy our Republic and impose their will on us because they know so much more than we do as to what is good for us. Think Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Ted Kennedy, Howard Dean, and the rest of the leaders of the Dimocrat Party. Notice I did not say all Dimocrats, although the current leadership is definitely leftist. These people know that when we become the United Socialist States of America they will be the privileged elite because they will be running things. In their minds the only reason socialism has been an abysmal failure everywhere it's been tried is that the right people haven't been in charge. They will do things right where Lenin, Stalin, Castro, and Kim Yuck Fou failed.

This book is about the third category of liberals and their methods, some of which I'll list here with a short explanation.

1. Promote and Exploit Devisiveness. What else would you say the purpose of multiculturism and political correctness is? That way they can equate Western Civilization, which has seen the greatest advances in wealth and freedom to Islamic barbarism which wants to take us back to the 7th Century. Teach blacks that whites are evil. Teach whites that whites are evil. Teach everyone that whites are evil.

2. Bad competition. I can summarize this chapter very simply. Liberals believe in equality of outcomes not equality of opportunity. How else would you decribe racial preferences in hiring and college admissions?

3. Groupdividual. Liberals like to look at people as groups rather than individuals. They hate individuals. Look at how they go after black conservatives. They do not fit the mold. All blacks are supposed to belong to the Dimocrat party. If they don't, they're Oreos.

4. Implicit Assumptions. Here's one: Everybody knows that conservatives are heartless bastards who want to starve old people and children and create thousands of homeless people. Facts? We don't need no stinkin' facts!

5. Revisionist History. All you need to do is see the way that American History is taught today. Our Founding Fathers were white guys with slaves. That automatically makes them bad. We shouldn't have nuked Japan. If we had just demonstrated the bomb they would have surrendered. I guess that's why we had to nuke two cities before they did.

6. Perpetual Motion Machine. Getting sumpin' for nothing. A good example of that is the minimum wage (or any other unfunded gummint mandate). Tell companies they have to pay someone a minimum amount of money. Sounds good. Gummint doesn't have to pay for it. Of course, since a business can only afford so much in payroll, the business will either have to raise prices or cut back on their payroll. TANSTAAFL

I've covered less than half of the methods documented in this book and of those I have, I've just given a real quick summary. If you read this book you'll see exactly how Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and the rest of the rat commie bastards are trying to turn this great nation into a socialist hellhole. The book was a very quick and enjoyable read.

More info on the book here.

I was not paid to write this review nor do I get any commission. I did get a free copy and the enjoyment of reading the book.

Include in group #3 ("Leftists, socialists, and rat bastard commies") John McCain and George W. Bush.

Some people like to draw a distinction between left-liberals and right-liberals. Left-liberals are those who believe in social justice, group rights, redistribution of wealth, and an openly expressed indifference or hostility toward our common culture and Judeo-Christian heritage. Left-liberals also believe in equal freedom and non-discriminatory treatment of all people, regardless of their circumstances. They are different from true leftists because left-liberals still believe in freedom of speech; those who cross that line and try to prevent someone from expressing ideas they disagree with are leftists.

A right-liberal "believes in rule of law, individual rights, and security of property, and he makes at least a show of deference toward the common American identity based on our Judeo-Christian heritage" (from the same site). However, they are unwilling to violate liberal principles to defend their society and culture. Sadly, most "conservatives" are actually right-liberals.

Here's the test: the Moslems. The Moslems are plainly incompatible with, and even a danger to, our society. Their identity with their group is more important to us than their individual rights. Are you willing to say that they don't belong here? Are you willing to back up those words with appropriate actions? If you are, congratulations! You're neither kind of liberal: you're a true conservative.

I don't know GOC, it seems to me except for the gun part this could describe the extremists on either side of the fence. There's not much difference between the evangelical right and the anarchist, or if you prefer socialist, left. Rather than assign the tactics to a certain party, I think it would be more appropriate to assign it to professional politicians in general. From I've seen so far of the new Democrats, it's going to be business as usual but that was my problem with the GOP too. They're all crooks.

Follow-up thoughts:

Some people believe that W is a conservative. Well...

The Four Principles of America are as follows:

1. Rule of Law, not Social Justice
2. Individual Rights, not Group Rights
3. Security of Property, not Redistribution of Wealth
4. Common American Identity based on our Judeo-Christian heritage, not Multiculturalism

W is an enemy of the Rule of Law; he demonstrated this by supporting amnesty for illegal aliens (he calls it "comprehensive immigration reform").

W is an enemy of Individual Rights; he demonstrated this by endorsing the Grutter v. Bollinger decision in which the Supreme Court decided that racial preferences were in the Constitution.

Finally, W is an enemy of our Common American Heritage; he demonstrated this by his support of multiculturalism, and also by his continual deference towards, and inclusion of, the utterly alien, un-American, anti-American Moslems.

Still think W is a conservative?

The first of many that we have fought Liberalism is to rid ourselves of "Pay Toilets."Has anyone besides me ever stopped and thought how many and how often we pay taxes to help the downtrodden. If it wasn't for the liberals there wouldn't be any downtrodden. They would mostly be law abiding citizens who were conservatives. Liberals have to invent victims to make themselves look like honorable people and therefore caring more for the people than conservatives do. This thinking makes everyone dependent on the gummit. Vote for me and I will give you summpin! PORK BARREL anyone? I'm still waiting for a true conservative to run. Both parties are afraid to offend anyone and thus losing a voter. They all want to make victims and then helping them with our taxes to get elected and reelected. Has anyone since JFK ever seen a dimmocrat asking anyone to give something to their country instead of sucking at the tits? Name one.

GOC:

I might need to borrow that book. :)

Squidley:
Some people believe that W is a conservative

Yes, and some people believe the world is flat. :)
Actually, the BDS that started up after the 2000 election is worthy of some serious study - Bush was never a right-running candidate. He didn't even appeal to the religious right specifically, other than allowing that he was born again.

Libby:
it seems to me except for the gun part this could describe the extremists on either side of the fence.

There's always a tendancy to say something like that, to even things out. I understand that. I tend to do such things - but in this case, there is a big difference.

First, the religious right doesn't run the republicans. They have influence in some areas, sure, but they're not in any sort of guidence/leadership.

Contrast that with the moveon morons. The current leadership of the Democrats are the extreme wing. Compared to what extremist R they replaced? Frist? Hastert? Heck, even Lott wasn't an extreme right-winger.

They're all crooks.

Nah, there's still a difference. Look at Hastings. Impeached out of the judiciary (Including the current D leadership) for bribe-taking. His co-conspirator refused to testify against him, his criminal trial was unable to convict. His co-conspirator - convicted of bribing federal judges to keep criminals on the street - was then pardoned by Clinton.

Now, I can disapprove of lots of stuff that policitians do - but there's a big difference in morality and public appearance between the two.

When the right has a morality breakdown, notice they admit it was their failure. They may make some excuses. But when the left has a morality breakdown, it's a conspiracy. It's lies! You're jealous! You're Envious! Let me remind you who coined the term "Vast Right Wing Conspiracy". (Which, as it turns out, if one existed, it has been totally vindicated with the charges it made).

Add to that how far we've progressed in ways that will take a very long time, and a hard route to change out of.

Schools are now disarmed zones where men are hounded psychologically constantly that they're evil, crazy, and unable to control themselves.

Judges now consider themselves to be above the law, and strike down legally passed statues merely because they want to make a political point.

38 years ago, you could buy guns through the mail, without any "dealer" getting involved. Now, Federal Firearms Licencees are thrown in jail because someone put "y" on the 4473 instead of "yes", and that's a felony on the dealer side.

We've removed "Civics" from the schools, in favor of "Social Studies". We've removed "hard" history in favor of "minority of the month" history.

Like I said, can I borrow the book? I think I'll enjoy it.

Posted by: Unix-Jedi on November 20, 2006 08:45 PM

Squidley - We now know that compassionate conservative=liberal. John McCain will be just as bad, if not worse. e.g. McCain-Feingold. Then we have Giuliani (gun control) or Mitt Romney (liberal). We on the right are totally fucked!

Unix-Jedi - Next time you are in Atlanta, I'll lend it to you. Or next time I am out in the sticks where you live, I'll bring it along with me. He doesn't tell me anything I didn't know, but this would be a good primer for our youth to counteract the brainwashing they receive in our gummint schools.

BTW, is the new wife as conservative as you are? How about her best friend (the matron of honor)?

WHOA!

Y'all are confusing the HELL out of me!

IF I read you correctly, you are saying that WE have something to do with the ANGER that abounds in our World?

I'll have more to say once you clarify your position.

Sometimes, Y'all mess me up far more than my having a beer or two to wash-down my prescription med's! I'm certifiably-nutz; -what's YOUR excuse?

Posted by: DanS. on November 20, 2006 11:20 PM

I'd really like to get a look at this book. Hey Denny, do you know if Borders stocks it?

Posted by: Fuckhead Jenkins on November 21, 2006 01:43 AM

I don't need the book, I'm living the reality TV version. I've seen what happens when socialist dreams come true.

Flee everyone, run for your lives!

We've got Australia to cover us, you've got Canada.

For the of god get it right next time or we're all in deep doh.

Denny........

Excellent review with accurate description of the type three & most dangerous of the extreme liberal left. The problem is the people who vote for these elitest bastards do not read books, watch TV presentations that require thinking or are informative & even less likely to be readers of this or any other similar website.

The supporters of these people have their heads buried in reality TV shows , movie/gossip magazines & follow the day to day happening`s of the Hollywood leftests. Awareness of the actual world escapes these people & yes they believe we the United States to be the root cause of all evil & calamity in the world from hurricane`s, global warming, all the war`s ever fought in the last 200 years, aids, their poor choice for husband or wife & lint in dryer.

I do not see how you will ever reach these people..... even a pandemic illness to sweep the globe clean would kill the same percentage of people who reason as well as the dullard`s. I guess we shall have to just ride out the evolutionary roller coaster to it`s conclusion for revelation of what follow`s the failed experiment with man.

Fuckhead Jenkins - Don't know about Borders. It is available at Amazon or Barnes and Noble.

Posted by: Denny on November 21, 2006 12:25 PM

Yeah - minimum wage...

Did you know that the Sierra Club and ACORN both once filed individual lawsuits trying to get out of paying the minimum wage to their 'outreach' workers? And they each used the same argument: "We only have so much money in the budget to pay them, and if we're forced to pay minimum wage, we can't field as many workers as we planned to...".

Funny how the real world works, isn't it?

Posted by: MrJimm on November 21, 2006 05:15 PM

Yea, just check out Nancy Pussilosi's fortune in the hotel business and her vineyards in California. Liberalism at its best!

Posted by: gene Hall on November 21, 2006 07:17 PM

Denny: Good. It should be easy to find then. Thanks!

Norway was listed as the best country to live in. They're socialist. Everyone has healthcare. Everyone lives prosperously. What's the beef with socialism?

Posted by: dino999 on November 22, 2006 12:54 AM

Must be the fjords.

Can't stand fjords.

Damn that explains the South Island too.

Posted by: Murray on November 22, 2006 05:35 AM

So pass the book along, so I can read it.

Posted by: latisha on November 22, 2006 12:26 PM

dino999......

Who proclaimed Norway to be the best country to live in ? The last time I looked I did not see a very long line of people wanting or willing to move there. There is however a line of people who are leaving there to emigrate to other countries. Can you guess who the first choice is?

They are socialist & have healthcare......If you check out their current tax burden , you just might be able to understand the reluctance of so many to emigrate to the best country in the world to live in. What you apparently do not recognize is any program administered by the central goverment is not free & is alway`s far more expensive then private enterprise.

Socialism is a failed system because it carries the seed`s of it`s own destruction as it encourages individuals to take advantage of the system which increase`s the tax burden , angers the rest of the people & ultimately bring`s it crashing to the ground. It is a given truth that people resent freeloaders even if they happen to be in the so-called best country in the world to live

Posted by: dudley1 on November 22, 2006 02:16 PM

dino999 - The only reason Norway can afford socialisom is because it is a net oil exporter. Ya wanna see a fine example of socialism versus capitalism? East Germany versus West Germany during the Cold War. Now, Germany is heading toward socialism and we are kicking their asses. Our unemployment is half of theirs and our growth rate is double.

As dudley1 said, look where everyone wants to live. It is the USA.

Posted by: Denny on November 22, 2006 06:07 PM

It is true, send me a green card.

I can help with that terrible podgey middle redneck shortage you have going on.

Posted by: Murray on November 22, 2006 11:22 PM

"The only reason Norway can afford socialisom is because it is a net oil exporter"

must agree with that...

Our unemployment is half of theirs and our growth rate is double.

I'm not sure that helps to define the best country to live in. Maybe the best country to work in. But I won't trade my 6-weeks-vacations-35-hours-per-week with your system.

Posted by: Prosper on November 23, 2006 09:42 AM

Prosper - And your high employment and low growth rate is a result of your 6 week vacation and 35 hour work week. That is also why your recessions are worse than ours. The big question is how much longer your businesses will be able to maintain any type of competitive edge with the generous employee packages. The bill is coming due. In the past two years IBM bought out many employees in France and Germany with generous severance packages. Those are jobs that will not be replaced. Their functions have moved to countries where employees are cheaper and gumint regulation is less onerous.

Posted by: Denny on November 23, 2006 12:29 PM

Prosper......

Sooner or later the bill come`s due, you will pay/suffer the consequences of an out of control liberalized labor system. As the third world continues it`s upgrade in education as well as industrialization, the competitive edge will swing to them ,your (6) week vacation (35) hour workweek will vanish into thin air.

Welcome then to no vacation , no job & no viable income for the majority of your over leasured work force.

Will you be on the first, second or third boat load of French immigrant`s to the United States?......Will the United States accept you even if not being Mexican?

Posted by: dudley1 on November 23, 2006 01:19 PM

It's a civilization's choice.
There's a german proverb that say : "Happy like God in France".
We prefer to work less.
So we are the 6th or 7th largest economy in the world, and not the first or second.
Not that bad for a 60 millions inhabitants country.

You say : the bill is coming due. We'll see... You know, we're a very, very, very old people. We don't fear the future.

Posted by: Prosper on November 24, 2006 03:02 AM

I was lucky enough to come to US thirteen years ago from one of the ex-commie regimes. And I rejoice every day in the fact that I am here, in the absolute best country on the face of the planet.
What bothers me is that so many people support the left and try to change this country into another France or Germany. Why don’t they just leave? They do have a choice. I don’t. I love this country and this system (capitalism in particular). I love the fact that there is equality of opportunity and the fact that how far I can get in life is solely up to ME. Not up to the Government, some minority group, some support group, people I know, people I paid off, just little old ME.
But I am sick and tired of listening to people, many of them very young, trying to tell me that communism in theory is really wonderful; and if it would not have been for the fact that the regimes in the past were run by tyrants, it would work!!!!! Are they on crack or is it a total ignorance I’m hearing? They truly don’t understand that WHEN their beloved left takes over this country, the many freedoms we enjoy today will be gone in a flash. Socialism/communism will never work and I get pissed every time somebody is trying to persuade me otherwise.

Posted by: glutek on November 24, 2006 10:54 AM

Prosper - Check back with me in 5 years. You should fear the future. Your Moo-slimes are outbreeding you and your economy is not growing fast enough to support your social programs. We're gonna face the same problems with Medicare and Social Security as our population ages.
