There was a ridiculous op-ed in today's Atlanta Urinal and Constipation about how Republicans hated Mexicans and they were alienating them with their immigration policies. WTF? Open borders? That appears to be the policy of the Bush administration. Amnesty as well. After all, the eee-vil rich Republicans gotta have someone to clean their houses and take care of their yards.
Just because there are some Republicans who want to enforce our immigration laws does that mean they hate Mexicans? Just because there are some Republicans who want to secure our borders does that mean they hate Mexicans?
Do I hate Mexicans? No, I don't. I just want them to come to this country legally. I have no problem with a guest worker program. I just want the workers to be here legally.
Why is it such a hard concept to understand that if someone is here illegally, they are breaking the law? I realize that this is a hard concept for Dimocrats, since they honor a murderer as an elder statesman and they lionize a man who treats women like shit. Culture of corruption, indeed! Pelosi supported John Murtha who was up to his neck in the Abscam sting for majority leader and is thinking of appointing Alcee Hastings, who was impeached and ejected from a judgeship for taking bribes, as head of the House Intelligence Committee. Culture of corruption? The Dims could write a book on it.
But I digress.
Mexicans come here for a better life because their rulers have kept Mexico a Third World shithole. I can understand that, but there is a right way and a wrong way. If you are here illegally, you do not deserve amnesty. We tried that in the 80's. It sure fixed the illegal immigration problem then didn't it?
Nope. I don't hate Mexicans. If they are here legally and they want to become Americans, which includes learning English, I welcome them.
If they are here illegally and want to turn the United States into Mexico, it's time for them to leave. And let's build a wall to keep them out!
Unfortunately, now that the Dimocrats are in power, and Bush is willing to work with them on amnesty, we're fucked!

I learned that in Colombia the Mexicans are despised mostly because they are known as the group that comes here (USA) illegally to take advantage of what we offer. Their society feels that the Mexicans are just a bunch of leeches sucking on our teat, and the Colombians (many who have dreams of coming here to a better life)are afraid the Mexicans are going to ruin it. Valid fear I reckon. Anyway we have a few Mexican clients that got here legally and I really like them. Good People. And as mentioned here before, they do not like the illegals at all. It's interesting having immigrants working for you. It gives you a hole new perspective in how we are viewed around the world (also have two girls from Germany working for me). It's a scarey perspective though. Everyone wants to come here to take advantage of what we offer. I'm not talking about the "offerings" of previous generations like Freedom, unlimited growth potential etc. I'm talking about good jobs, cheap food and housing etc. etc. In other words, they come here to take advantage of things our forefathers worked hard and died for without really having to pay the price for the opportunity to get these things. Don't get me wrong, I think the world of my immigrant employees and admire them and consider them friends. But they do have VERY liberal philosophies and I'm afraid the influx of immigrants (even legals) is going to cause a massive shift in our societies values.

The Democrats will probably solve their dilemma of wanting Mexicans here to vote for them but keeping them out to save union jobs by just making it legal for all Mexicans to vote in our elections without even having to be in our country. They could set up voting booths in Mexico City or pass out absentee ballots. Maybe I should be sorry that I mentioned it, because it is precisely something that they might like to do.

We had an incident up at the university this summer where a girl went into a common tv lounge to watch soccer; there were a group of "Eastern" men in there, they looked at her and said "no, no women, you leave" - she stood her ground and stayed (they all left). Also, Arizona voters passed props 100, 103 and 300. No bail for illegals. English as the state's official language and cutting education services to illegals. An AP exit poll showed that about half of their American Hispanic voters supported the "English" prop. Didn't say if they polled on the other issues.
The "We need a Guest Worker Program" is a scam argument. There are many programs already in place, including the H2A for temp ag workers and it doesn't have a cap. Some farmers will argue that it's cumbersome, etc.. Gee, you think it may have to do with the money? About 40% of illegals are visa overstays. Heard anybody suggest how to stop that loophole? BTW, Canada just killed any amnesty for their illegals. They paid attention to our earlier screw ups.

When you walk into Wal-Mart some days you'd swear you're in Mexico, and ever notice how many of the leeches are pregnant?

I read in the paper today that births by un-wed mothers is up to 37% of all births, and guess who leads the pack there? WETBACKS!!!

It's not a matter of what Americans won't do, it's what they won't do for ridiculously low wages, because Americans cannot support themselves and their families working for chump-change, and because the wetbacks will it drives down EVERY working person's wages and takes away jobs from mostly legal minorities and un/under-educated young people!
Now the wetbacks are starting to make inroads into the construction industy here and elsewhere, and they're driving down wages in that industry also, and putting a lot of out of work because they can't compete with the scumbags paying the wetbacks $10 an hour cash under the table to build houses, paint, etc.
Most of the jobs the wetbacks are taking are or used to be union jobs for low and middle-class Americans. Yet are all the unions screaming about this? NO! They're bitching about Wal-Mart.
That's all I have to say other than we need to do what President Eisenhower did in the 1950's to solve the illegal invasion from Mexico.
It was called "Operation Wetback", and they rounded up the illegals and sent them back to Mexico. We did it back and we can do it today!!!

If the dimocrat`s are in power when this road is constructed you can be sure it will be built with Unionized labor.After all they have to take care of their base even if it be somewhat depleted. A simple solution to include the use of Mexican labor is to institute the guest worker program, require a given percentage of the highway crew to be of minority status & require union wages to be paid to them.
Want to bet as to whether this comes about? They will satisfy the Union base & make the Mexican minority beholden to them as well. Two for one.... only loser will be the American taxpayers

While I agree with most of what Denny says, I disagree strongly on one point: I do have a problem with even legal Mexican immigration. Here's why.
Mexicans make very bad Americans. They bring their Third-World culture and hygiene with them; they do not assimilate; they consume public benefits disproportionately to their numbers; they earn less; and they commit more crime.
How can I say that? Well, here are a few inconvenient truths.
*Hispanics are nearly four times more likely to be incarcerated than other Americans.
*They have the second-highest out-of-wedlock birthrate (near 50%); children raised in single-mother households are especially susceptible to welfare use, delinquency, dropping out, joining gangs, and teen pregnancy.
*Americans of Mexican descent have far lower educational achievement than other Americans, with fewer than 10% getting any sort of post-high school degree, even into the third and fourth generations (US average: 45%).
*The per capita income for Mexicans in America is $13,000, compared to $22,000 for native-born Americans (same source as above).
*They continue to speak Spanish at home, even into the third and fourth generations.
There's more, of course. The long and short of it is that they are incompatible with our country and our culture. They are turning the egalitarian US into a two-tiered society like the Latin American hellhole they are running from. They depress wages at the low end of the scale, thus harming the poorest Americans. They send their earnings back home, thus depleting our economy of anything more than their subsistence-level consumption and simultaneously propping up the corrupt government back home.
More Mexicans? ¡No, gracias!
