24 Shrimps

All I can say is Jack's mom has to be a freaking midget. Look at his dad. He's tall. Jack and his bro are hobbits compared to him. Dontcha think the producers of 24 could have shelled out the bucks to get Donald Sutherland to play dear old dad?

I'm still trying to get my mind around Wayne Palmer as prez.

Remember how Jack had some holes punched into him earlier in the day? So far there have been no bloodstains on his t-shirt. The dude must have SmartBloodTM (Who can name that reference?)

I wish one of the FBI agents would bitchslap Sandra Palmer. Continuously. She is an annoying bitch. That's probably why she does not have a job in the Palmer administration.

I'm still trying to figger out where Milo has been since the first season when he was just a contractor. Maybe he was on another shift. Does CTU work on some kind of a 24 on and 24 off schedule? The only time people get to go home is when they're suspended like Chloe was in Season 4.

Dontcha wish the honchos at CAIR were as pro US as the head of the CAIR imitation organization in 24? This dude is willing to do sumpin' about Islamic terrorism.

Milo just gave Nadia a higher security access. Is she gonna be this year's mole?

Karen's going back to LA. That means Buchanan will get some after this crisis is over. Woo hoo!

SmartBlood would be from John Scalzi's excellent "Old Man's War" (and sequel "Ghost Brigades").

As for the rest; it's TELEVISION. It's make-believe. From the same dollar-hungry liberals who brought you 'Left Wing'.

Bah, 1Gewehr beat me to it... I just finished re-reading Ghost Brigades last weekend.

Have either of you read The Android's Dream? I just finished it today.

Denny, I have read the first two referenced books, but not the one you mention. Did you like it?

Didja know Scalzi is a blogger? scalzi.com/whatever, altho he seems like somewhat of a lib.

Heh, smart blood, that's got to be it. Don't really care as long as they get Jack back in the damned show and let him beat bad guys to a pulp... let's start with creepy bald brother dude. *grin*

If things don't start to pick up, I'm going to give up 24 next season. Sheesh!

Rick - Yep. I did. I did know that Scalzi blogs and that he is somewhat of a lib. It's funny since Old Man's War read like Starship Troopers, and Heinlein was far from being a lib.

Haven't read that one yet. I did read his "Agent to the Stars" that's posted on his website. That was a fun read!

Jack Bauer makes James Bond look like a lazy bureaucrat… This Bauer guy gets into more fights, shoot-outs, and car chases in 24 hours than 007 does in a month of sleuthing. My complete comments are here:

I wasn't able to watch 24 until Thursday, so I skipped over your blog of it. What's funny is that we said the same things, the only pretty Muslim chick, wait she's a mooselime? Hmm, thought she was Betty Crocker, anyways, she seems hurt, bet she's a Mole! And why is Jack and Creepy Bother's dad 12 feet tall while they are just not quite tall enough to ride the Tilt-O-Whirl?
I also always wondered who the second stringers were on a 24 hour shift at CTU, and do the actors get bored wearing the same outfits?
Milo's gonna get canned, the goatee is a give away, if not the over-acting. Then Betty Crocker will be free to mooselime mole at will.
I hope that Bill and Karen's reunion will be on a beach somewhere rather than some odd sexual tension over the huge light box table. How white and pasty-ugh.
