That was AMAZING!...and so beautiful, and moving. No bones...we are definitely the best country in the world.

It really makes you think, doesn't it. And, yes I did tear up, couldn't be helped.

Gripping - Been there, done that 40 years ago and still hits home - Thanks Denny

I had to watch that again...and again...and again...

Dammit...what's this watery substance that keeps jumping out of the monitor into my eyes???

Awesome, Denny! Thank you for sharing that one, and thanks to Charlieb for sending it to you! If anyone questions why I come here everyday, this is a perfect example...

Thank you all who have served our Country!

Thanks for posting this, Denny. It reminds me... I saw an active military man today in an unusual place. I was on the way home from work and at a stoplight about 6 cars back on the street perpendicular to the one he was walking on. He had on a black beret and tan colored camo, and a backpack. Don't know where he would have been coming from or going to in the Tysons Corner, VA area, but it was cool. If I was first at the light I would have rolled down my window and shouted a "thank you!" to him, for his service.
(I hope he wasn't one of those imposters--there are Army surplus stores everywhere-- but I wouldn't mind being wrong in this case.)

Denny

Very Nice, I get a few of those from time to time. My wife sends Veteran's day e-mail cards to me and one of her co-workers who was in the Marines and was in Viet Nam for two tours. She asked him why he went back to Viet Nam for a second tour. He said that was where his friends were at and that they were his family. There’s not much you can say to that.
Also, he told her that she is the only one who remembers to do that other than his buddies that were “in country”.

Some people do remember.

Cheers all.

PS someone asked about the music. I believed that at the end it said “Pacific Wind” I guess you could Google them. Good luck

That was great, I've made a few of those sort of things my self. I know there's a lot of Vets that visit this site and just want to thank all of you for your service. Your courage and self sacrifice has kept this great land of ours free for all generations. I only wish I could go over and serve as well but the medications I am on are a PDQ. Damn I love America!

Great sentiments. A moving video.

However, I have a couple of questions. Is there a good reason for putting women in harm's way? In WWII, when the whole country was dedicated to the war effort, women did their part, but very few of them died in the service of their country. In fact, more American women have been killed in four years in Iraq than died in all the wars of the 20th century. If we didn't need women in the military then, why do we need them now?

Is there anything more masculine than fighting, killing, and dying for your country? Is our military better off due to its feminization?

I do not mean to disparage the women who serve honorably. I mean them no disrespect. In fact, the military women I know are fine people, and I'm proud of them. While women can have a role in the armed forces, that role should have nothing to do with combat.

Ultimately, I question the liberal assumption that women are as suited as men for military service.

I didn't tear up, I got mad at the Democrats and the RINO Republicans who want them to just die for nothing, except a few votes.

We tied in Korea and are still there. We won on the battle field of Viet Nam and Congress failed to support the Paris Accord and a week later the North was in Saigon.

This Congress is willing to invite the terrorists to come over here and fight.
