Prosper - There are a lot of people in Canada (and not just in Quebec) who would like to see Quebec leave Canada. There are other people in Canada who would like parts of Canada to join the United States. I'd take Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Ontario.

Actually if you get to know some of the people in the wilds of Quebec, they are really good people & friendly once they find out you are from the United States & not from Ontario.

I would take Saskachewan, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, The Northwest Territories, even British Columbia if we could get Vancouver to secede. For what its worth, Winnipeg comes with the deal.

Corsican terrorist have not made the headlines here. As for the Northern Ireland comparison, that is where my mother was born and raised. Yes, she is Catholic and hated the IRA. They were a bunch of murdering bums to her. But growing up Irish in NYC, I've seem my share of IRA men trying to collect money from Irish relief. Right, more like guns and bullets than bread and butter. Didn't really understand the whole "troubles" in the north as the Irish referred to them. Catholic and Protestant was what was the issue on the surface but it had more to do with politics and economics, in my opinion. Things have settled down for now.
