Now that Imus is gone , how about "Cynthia in the morning" to replace him? A chance to show real racial balancing, a chance to give the black folks a moderate spokesperson, a chance to correct the injustice of taking her seat away. Besides it is too hot to pick bananas all day.
I mean it isn`t like you would ever hear any racial slurs coming from her on the show or any of her mainstream black guests like Honest Al or Rev`d Jackson during the Gospel Hour segment`s.
Honest Al could do a commentary about professional ethics & honesty.
The Rev`n Jackson can give a pitch for marital fidelity & parental responsibility.
Don King could lecture for the need to recruit more black athletes & safeguarding of their earnings.
Cynthia could discuss her mission to bring a sense of "Cant we just all get along " to Washington DC.
Comedy routines could be handled by Chris Rock & music by Grandmaster Flash.
They already got two sponsers lined up.....Chiquita Banana company & Nappy Hair Spray.
Oh yeah! I heard Dan Rather is available to handle any news segments if they want him.
Bill Clinton the first black President who expects to be back in DC real soon declined to be a supporting cast member, but did offer to provide Cynthia assistance with her Banana harvesting project.
Speaking of recruiting more blacks for sports. Did anyone watch the civil rights game a couple of weeks ago? The talking heads were saying just that. There are not enough blacks in baseball. Give me a break. If they want a pure percentage then the NFL in retrospect would only have about 15 black players. That would solve the arrest records for the players.
