Are your children ready to hear the talk about the Facts of Life? You know, the Birds and the Bees. Sex. If so, send 'em to see Bou. She has just had the talk with her middle child and documents it here. Mr. T. is a very bright child (as are all of her boys) and he started getting curious about horses.
I really hope she's still blogging when she discusses this with her youngest child, Bones. That will really be a hoot!
Posted by denny at April 25, 2007 03:08 PMBones scares the crap out me! Sheer unpredictability. He and I are so polar opposites in the way we think, the way we process information, I cannot even begin to fathom what he will do with the information and what type of questions he might formulate. Good Grief!
Posted by: Bou on April 25, 2007 09:45 PMBou: How old is Bones? I have an unusually inquisitive and exhausting little boy myself. He makes me wonder what Napoleon or Alexander were like as children! Seriously. He wants to rule the world. We went to Target the other day, because he needed some shirts. There was a tshirt there that said "I AM YOUR FUTURE BOSS" on it. He said, "Too bad there's not one that says 'I AM YOUR FUTURE EMPEROR'; I'd want that one!" I think it's funny when Americans are called imperialistic, but in this case the shoe fits. It's a size 2 shoe.

Posted by: Denny on April 26, 2007 02:05 PMDenny - Our boy is 9, and I've been trying to find out if anyone has another one like him. He's unusual. To put it in the words of his pediatrician ..."You have a scary mind, my little friend!"
Posted by: Peggy U on April 26, 2007 03:41 PMPeggy U - Maybe you oughta write Bou and compare notes. She is a real awesome lady: Smart, funny, and good looking. I looked for someone like her for all my life and never found her. Sigh!
