gene - Michael and Cindy (who is an RN) had me over to their house last night. Michael had a nice bottle of Beringer Estate Cab 1995, which sells for $200 and offered to let me help him drink it, which I did. We also had a Pinot Noir which I furnished and a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. We finished up with a glass of Delamain Cognac. Cindy didn't tell me I can't drink so it must be OK.

I have never not drank when I was on antibiotics and they always do the job. It may take a little longer to work, and it may be a little harder on the liver and kidneys, but the pills still get the job done. I'm sure everyone's different in that regard...

The problem with many libs is that they don't know how to debate. I've learned this on a personal level, aside from blogs. The discussion devolves into talking points (from the mainstream media, usually), going off-topic, no direct answers, total emotion.

Alcohol with antibiotics.... Hmmmm! alcohol is used to clean wounds... Alcohol kills 99% of bacteria... Alcohol also soothes the stomach, especially wine, when taken in moderation.
The dangers are alcohol with pain medications, and certain mood altering drugs. My experience is that wine with antibiotics helps ease the stomach problems that accompany so many of the good ones.
