The Carter days were not happy times in my household. It's convenient that he forgets how unsucessful his presidency was.

Hammer - Gas lines. Misery index (inflation plus interest rates) in the 20's. Back then, I purchased a four family flat and had to pay 12% on my loan. Fortuantely it was a ballon and after 5 years (now in the Reagan administration) my interest rate dropped to 8%. You can say all you want about Bush's incompetence, but we have had stable low interest rates and low unemployment during most of his time in ofice. Of course you would never hear the LSM talk about this. Larry Kudlow calls this economy the "greatest story never told".

I was serving in the Air Force in Korea during the dipshits administration and we had 12 hour shifts just to keep the airplanes in the air. We were out of parts and cannibalized so many parts from other planes that our OR rate was in the shits. Then I ended up at Luke AFB and the dipshit sold/gave away some F-4s to all places, Egypt. To complete the deal, he forgot to include the sale of parts and we ended up sending the parts we needed to satisfy the State Department. What a mess!

Jimmah has the distinction, not only as being the worst president of modern times, but also the worst ex-president. I guess we can aslo credit him with history's biggest boost to radical Islam. Wish he would just STFU and go away.

Just like the way the Left has always respected our women and families? Pat Nixon? The Nixon Girls? They tried to stay completely out of politics, and were still attacked, ridiculed and vilified. Or consider the treatment meted out to Nancy Reagan. Or the various Bush and Cheney women. Or the recent attacks on the family of Chief Justice Roberts during his confirmation hearings. Targeting of Republican families has been a Democrat tradition as old and common as it is dishonorable.

Roslyn and Amy made themselves legitimate targets in their own right when they chose to interject themselves into the public debate. When Amy was a presumptious little 12 year old advising her daddy on nuclear security matters, I thought it was obnoxious, but I only blamed her idiot dad, and not her. But when she grew up to be a radical street demonstrator and trouble-maker, hanging out with old '60s radicals, championing leftist causes, and getting herself arrested several times, she put herself clearly downrange, as well as demonstrating a consistent familial character.

And BTW, I did not make fun of any of them as paraplegic-diabetics, and wouldn't unless they tried to make use of the problem for political agitation. (Like Michael J. Fox did.) Observe, that I've never made fun of Chelsea Clinton; so far the poor girl has not done anything to deserve it.
