I don't know BillT. 2 years ago I spent $27 per week to have my yard mowed. I now pay $19. yard is the same size, gas is more expensive, the only other variable is labor. too many illegals. the more illegals we have the bigger the unskilled labor pool. Plus union guys lost their jobs in Cactus Tx to those illegals at th meat plant.

The real crock sold to the public is the illegals do the jobs Americans would not do. In fact if you looked at those jobs that are stolen by these criminals - they are refered to as gateway skills - construction, low end plant labor even yard work. These are the jobs our kids used to do until the Govt got involved. As a teen I cleared and easy Eighty bucks a week mowing yards in San Antonio back in the mid sixties - along comes Manuel and his brothers cutting prices and doing a sloppier job and putting me out of work. Did the same in roofing and general construction. Then again every house I framed in the seventies is still standing with plumb walls and straight roofs. Many of those done by the Mexicans crews have either been condemed or reframed.

My own son could not even get a job unloading trucks at the local WalMart (wrong color - blue eyes, blond hair) and he speaks better Spanish then most of the wetbacks that cross the border.

Was thinking about border security and illegal aliens, mostly Mexicans, some other South and Central American and who know how many from the east side of the Atlantic Ocean?
I was also thinking about the long lines at the Post Office [I have to wait a long time to get my mail] of people buyinb passports. Thse are all US citizens, in line buying passports to fly or drive to Canada or Mexico and get back. The cost is about $150 each, maybe a little more if they want "rush service" and also the pictures. Don't know how many children that never had to have a passport now are required to have one. Also your old passport isn't any good. I guess your citizenship expires every ten years.

Does this improve security? Who knows since the border is still wide open to aliens.

The first thing we need is to change the rule as to what constitutes a natural born Citizen. Only the children born to citizens and Legal resident aliens become citizens at birth.

I was watching Grassley on the senate floor explaining some of the shortcomings of this idiotic bill and he explained one provision that said if a suspected terrorist was about to receive a "Z" visa, instead of deporting him he must be allowed a visa anyway and proceed in court if any charges are to be brought.
