I e-mailed my two senatecritters. One, John Ensign, assured me he would not vote for it. The other, Harry Reid, was a waste of time. In fact, that sums up "Sierra Harry" ptetty well. A waste on time.

I have mailed so far 37 congress critters. Seventeen before they killed it and so far twenty since they have tried to resurrect it. It is working but we need more people to jump and go to these assholes and explain to them that we are the ones who vote. Denny is correct about Chamblis and Isaccson. They both got the word that we are more fucking important than their business buddies that want these bastards. My two asshole senators are beyond help and will be challenged the next election if they run.
Now I'll start a campaign to get rid of Martinez not only as a senator but also the RNC head. He is a total disgrace to the GOP. But so is Bush.

Gene: I don't know. These are my senators as well. I've sent messages off to them before, and either they don't reply, or you get a letter about some other issue they are patting themselves on the back over.

But - I did get out the word to our friends and relatives in other states to pressure their representatives. I think that is especially important with some older people who may not use the computer much (or at all).

Petition letters work wonders. If you give them a letter with several hundred signatures, they stop and think. We did it several years ago. What we did was enclose a voter registration printout for our presinct and a signature sheet with the signatures in the same order as on the print out. It was one HECK of a wake up call for an ex rep. One hundred seventy or so voters on the register, and only about a dozen declines.

Even A$$hole Reid answered me. His answer was that this bill wasn't perfect, but it was better than nothing. Ensign said it sucked, and he would not support it. (not in those exact words)

Do you give money to these peoples' campaigns? They might pay more attention to you if you did. After all, cash is the mother's milk of politics,

I got a letter from John McCain about 5 yrs. ago after requesting help for a high school friend of mine, and it was "signed" in the exact same color of ink as yours was, Denny. Coincidence? I think not.

I have also emailed my Senator's with no reply back. Dubya got his hispanic votes and I guess we all have to deal with "press one for english'. Very sad.

I was so proud of my Senators. Coburn tried an amendment to enforce laws ALREADY ON THE BOOKS, and the weasels DEFEATED. IT......I repeat... THEY. DEFEATED. THE. AMENDMENT. TO. ENFORCE. CURRENT. LAWS. Inhofe has been giving them fits on the Global Warming Bullshit. My Senators are sane. Who'd a thunk it?

and 600 new jobs were added this last month as telephone customer service reps for a computer software co. They only want spanish speaking people what's that tell ya ?

I think this has alot to with the fact that a few years ago the jobs were higher paying . For example
Three years ago the local cheese plant was paying 11.00 an hr. for maint. men. now they pay 7.00
The starting pay for at the turkey plant was 9.50 with benefits 5 years ago now its 6.00 even though the plant has grown in size many times over
The one place I havent seen a mexican working is at Taco Bell . Whats up with that?

One of my Senators is Jim Webb. He responded to my email by saying that he's all for amnesty because all these people have put down roots here. What a dumb shit. The only reason this richard Cranium is in office is because Allen used the word "macaca" and then lied about it's origin.

My senators are Cornyn and Hutchinson. Cornyn turned on the bill when a woman at a townhall meeting said "So senator, the price of American Citzenship is now $5000?"......he had no answer. He turned on the bill. Good.
