This week's Einstein is some dipstick who decided to take me to task for my opinion on global warming. This week I don't know whether to call it Asshole of the Week or Dumbfuck of the Week. First off he tries to comment on a closed post. Y'see, after a certain time limit, comments automajically close on posts. That way, I don't have to read comments on old posts. He received the following message when he tried to post his comment.

Obviously this booger eatin' moh-ron seemed to have a problem understanding "Comments are not allowed on this entry", even though it is in bold type. Maybe I should put it in all capital letters.
Not to be deterred, our rocket scientist decided to try again with the same success as his first attempt.
Comments on old posts drop into an approval queue that allow me to approve them or delete them. These naturally qualified for deletion, but I decided to share his wisdom with you. I know he is wise, because he typed in all capital letters so I would be sure to read his comment and get the point.
YOU ARE SHORT SIGHTED AND I PITY EVERYONE ON THIS THREAD. GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL. SORRY TO BURST YOUR CONSUMER BUBBLE, BUT WE HAVE A MORAL OBLIGATION TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IT'S MAN-MADE OR NOT. IF YOU HAVE CHILDREN YOU ARE A NEGLIGENT PARENT IF YOU DO NOT FACE UP TO THE THE FACTS, HUMAN EXISTANCE ON THIS PLANET IS FACING IT'S BIGGEST THREAT IN THOUSANDS OF YEARS, GLOBAL WARMING. YOU CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT. IT REQUIRES THOUGHTFUL CHANGE WHICH IS DIFFICULT. CHANGE YOUR CONSUMER BEHAVIOUR AND ACTIVELY IMPROVE OUR CHILDREN'S FUTURE: EAT LESS BEEF, GET A FUEL EFFICIENT HYBRID OR BIODIESEL CAR, USE FLORESCENT BULBS, REDUCE FLIGHTS, REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF DISPOSABLES YOU USE, RECYCLE, BRING YOUR OWN CUP, BRING YOUR OWN BAG WHEN SHOPPING, PURCHASE CARBON CREDITS WHEN YOU CAN DO NOTHING ELSE.
YOUR FREIND,
AARON
How many times am I gonna have to post the following graphic that I stole from this guy?

Aaron:
Posting in all caps makes you look like an idiot, which you obviously are since you believe in manmade global warming. Do you realize that Algore said six years ago we had ten more years to turn around our poluting ways before it was too late? We must be running in place because good ol' Al still says we have ten more years. So, I'm marking this on my calendar. June 22, 2017 and we're doomed! It will be too late! By that time the gloom and doom folks are gonna be worried about global cooling and somehow they'll blame it on global warming.
You people are no longer amusing. You're just plain stupid.
YOUR FREIND FRIEND (Remember Aaron, it's i before e except after c.)

Here's your award.

Entertainment at it's finest!

I have a couple of questions & thoughts for you to ponder;
1. If global warming is actually occurring & a rise in sea levels of 1,2,5,or even 10 feet will result in the next 5,10,50 or 100 years.....Why is this so critical when the sea levels have already increased about 300 feet since the last ice age with out a murmur from anyone?
2.If all the scenarios for temperature increases & co2 percentages in the atmosphere come true.... why is this automatically the fault of mankind when these predicted extremes have occurred many times prior to mankind even being here , while we have been here & will continue to do so long after we are gone?
3. You take the position we are under the greatest threat mankind has faced in thousands of years & it is all due to our being responsible for global warming. I assume you are referancing the position of alleged leading climatologists....Are you aware that as recently as 10 or so years ago these same experts were forcasting a new iceage?
4. You are probably an ardent believer for the positions of Algore in his documetary "An inconvenient truth" I would suggest you do a little research into what Al conveniently omitted to make this turkey plausible. In short he played games with the truth or in some cases just plain lied.
5.This might come as a huge surprise to you but climatologists for many years have been attempting to project doomsday conclusions with computer based programs with the end result being not one has been proven accurate, & most revised many times & some just quietly abandoned.
6. Actually many legitimate climatologists are disputing the assertations of those who follow the man is the culprit group of moonbats.Research conducted by these people based on documented fact is at odds with the pronouncements of those based on assumptions without supporting proof.
7.This will also surprise you ....I happen to agree global warming is occurring....not because of mankind but because the sun is in a hotter then usual cycle at the present time..... more sun , more heat look through a telescope & you will see the ice caps on mars are retreating...quite a coincidance Right?
8.I think it to be the height of arrogance to believe what mankind is responsible for makes any differance when you weigh in what happens naturally every day of year all by itself. This planet is influenced by forces which are far beyond our ability to first understand, second to interfere with & third to induce change to.
9. You want to be a good citizen , you want to protect the planet, you want to be a good conservationist.....Very noble of you but you had ought to do some investigation into what the leftwing liberal environmentalists are feeding you, research what climate extremes have been in the past & just how much in error conclusions reached by those who attempt to project longterm effects for short term occurance have been.
10. One thing I learned years ago is you can`t make chicken salad out of chicken shit....right now the hogwash of Algore is chicken shit leftwing politizing.
11. Lastly ,were there any reasonable evidance for our efforts on this planet to be placing mankind in danger, I would jump on the bandwagon.....But I base my decisions on proven facts , you are just to gullible , to easily lead astray & would do well to open your eyes to reality.

Posted by: CharlieDelta on June 23, 2007 12:08 AMOooh, carbon credits. Where do I purchase those? And as long as I'm pissing my money away why don't I give the federal government more of my own money since they can use it in a much better way than I can.
I read a story where Nancy Pelosi wants Congress to "be green". One of her ideas is to purchase carbon credits. What a good use of tax dollars.

Actually Aaron, the biggest threat of the past thousand years that we are facing today, is called MILITANT ISLAM. Pull your dumb ass out of the sand, and your head out of your fourth point of contact. There is no such thing as global warming, there IS such a thing as CLIMATIC CHANGE, which happens every thousand years or so.
Hey, ease off the Starbuck's.
I drive an hour for my Venti non-fat mocha with whip.
Don't say anything CD or Old Grouchy...you'd drive that far for a beer or a bottle of vino...shhhh.
Oooopsy, I'm not being fuel efficient and I don't take my own cup. Bad consumer who doesn't give a s**t.
Posted by: vicki on June 23, 2007 01:08 AMSay Aaron,
I appreciate your desire to do something really useful for the Earth. I really do. So why don't you go out into your back yard and turn yourself into compost? That would be the greatest contribution you could make to your dirt-mother.

One Scientist Thinks Global Cooling Is a Bigger Threat Than Global Warming
I've been getting calls lately from the utility company subcontractor who is trimming under the power lines. Every time they call, its the same conversation:
"Sir, you own the property at locationX?"
"yes I do."
"There is a tree that is endangering the power line that needs to be attended to. (description of tree) Do you mind if we trim or remove that tree? Bear in mind that it must be delt with."
"Would you do me a favor?"
"Sure, anything within reason."
"Have you got a digital camera?"
long pause..."Yes..."
"will you take pictures as you destroy that crappy elm and send them to Al Gore and his carbon credit fiasco?"
Laughing "We'd be glad to. You'd be amazed how many people get upset because they might be losing a carbon credit. We tell them the simple offset is to shut off their A/C unit for an hour or so." Laughs more. "Have a nice day."
The guys with hte tree service have sent Al over 500 pics of trees in various stages of removal.

Posted by: Jon on June 23, 2007 12:31 PMRe: '...WE HAVE A MORAL OBLIGATION TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT, WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IT'S MAN-MADE OR NOT.'
Where to start, where to start...
I think what he was trying to say was: 'We have a moral obligation to do somthing about it, whether it's man-made or not.' After all, Denny's opinion of whether something is man-made, real or purple in color has no effect on its origins, reality or hue. (Sorry, Denny. My opinions have no effect on physical reality, either.)
So, if global warming is not being driven by some man-made cause -- carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere by burning fossil fuels is the usual 'culprit' -- why does this person have any expectation that a decrease in anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions is going to have any effect on the global climate at all?
After all, if the actual cause of global warming turns out to be carbon dioxide emitted by volcanoes, what good will closing down coal-fired power plants do? We already know volcanic CO2 emissions dwarf anything humans put out. And then they belch out aerosols that contribue to global _cooling_. On balance, what is their effect? We don't know. (Not that this uncertainty seems to dampen your correspondent's fervor to _do something!_)
If the climate is warming because of increased solar activity, we're similarly screwed. Plus we might theoretically work some magic on Earth's atmosphere to counteract the additional solar heat -- only to find ourselves headed into a new Ice Age when the solar constant turns downward. (Which some scientists expect it to do soon.)
I have always felt that, if you do not have some minimal understanding of the workings of a system -- mechanical or natural -- you should not tinker with it. Your chance of screwing it up equals your chance of improving it. (Being a believer in Murphy's Law, I really suspect you are more likely to bollix it up.)
Your excited corrrespondent obviously doesn't feel the same way.
Posted by: F451 on June 23, 2007 02:56 PMDon't we have a couple SUV's roaming around on Mars somewhere? Is that why the ice caps on Mars are retreating? Maybe this global warming is man made. Maybe we are causing universe warming.
Maybe the Mars ice caps are retreating because they are democrats. Where else would they learn such behavior?
Does all this indicate the need to send al gore some of my carbon credits or maybe some cash. Somebody call gore and find out what we should do.
How about the word "their"?
Posted by: Rob Cooper on June 23, 2007 08:05 PMI guess libs don't golf, or at least watch it on TV, because during the U.S. Open last week if the announcers said it once, they said it 50 times- That they cut down 6000 trees on the golf course to turn Oakmont into the links-style course it was 70 years ago.

You are correct about climatic change, this is what has been going on since the earth cooled down in the first place & life began to take hold.
It is also the principle driving force behind evolution & extinction as it is estimated that over 95% of all species ever to have evolved have gone extinct from inability to adapt to climatic change be it gradual 'Normal" or suddenly "Catastrophic".
The pathetic fact today is even with an educational system capable of giving to one who desires knowledge untold abilities, in the case of the environmental wackoloons the only thing that germinates is "mankind is as fault" even though the history of our planet says otherwise.
Since it is accepted fact by all climatologists that climatic change is inevitable & cannot be stopped ,the only course of action to prevent our extinction is to recognize this fact , accept it & develop strategies to adapt to coming changes whatever they may be. Somehow , all the BS wackoloon ideas for recycling, emmission reductions & carbon credits do not rise to the level of addressing reality.
I wonder if the dinosaurs were walking around with doggie bags, ass fume filters strapped on like Kotex & clutching carbon credit receipts in their claw`s when the asteroid/comet hit. Take it easy Aaron, this is a joke....but it would not have worked then & the BS you have swallowed won`t work now.
