Back when Pumpman was still alive, I used to like to post cat pictures just to piss him off. I'd run a series of cat pictures that I called Cute Cats For Pumpman. He's always say that I should be dragged off and shot. I've been overdue for some cuteness so I'm gonna post a series of cute pictures Mo K sent me. Here's the first one.

Nothing as sweet as a young animal. I have a new puppy ( Pembroke Welsh Corgi ) that I adore. He's the most mischievious pup that I've ever had but at the same time he's the smartest. He knows how to manipulate like all pets but he also knows when he has lost. But I'm an old softy anyway.
Posted by: gene Hall on July 16, 2007 05:51 PMYou know, Denny, wherever Pumpman is he's plotting his revenge for when you join him. And you will join him eventually.
Posted by: Ralph Gizzip on July 16, 2007 07:43 PMThat's one demented looking pussy.
Posted by: Chickie on July 16, 2007 08:10 PMAll pussys are cute. In hind sight some are cuter than others.
Posted by: gene Hall on July 16, 2007 08:48 PMOh, a Scottish Fold! I used to have one- Molly was a brown tabby and one of the sweetest kitties I've ever known.
Posted by: AnnaD on July 16, 2007 08:51 PMAnna, say what! Explain, what is a Scottish fold.

I think they're pink in color, and vicious in nature! As far as the breed of cat, I'm not too sure...
Thanks for the clarity CD. I was dumfounded.
Posted by: gene Hall on July 16, 2007 10:26 PMDo you think that cats run the place where Pumpman went, or did he go to where all the women there are barefoot and have their toenails painted?

That wasn't a shot at you! I was just trying to keep Gene on his toes...
played some golf today with bro in law in colorado. had to coax a doe and her little fawn off the tee box. that alone was worth my $100 green fee. awesome. also saw a fox eating a mouse while urinating on a tree. nice.
Posted by: patrick on July 17, 2007 03:05 AMDon't worry about me, CD!
At some point in the 1960s (I believe) there was a farm cat born in Scotland with folded ears as a result of a gene mutation. Since then Scottish Folds have been bred and are now a fairly popular breed. Not all of them are born with the folded ears, but they all have the sweetest dispositions (and big round eyes!).
When I was in fifth grade (I'm 26 now) I read a book by some guy who always hated cats until a Fold was forced upon him. I fell in love with them and started writing to a breeder and eventually ended up with a kitten for my birthday. She died a few years ago.
Uh, FYI, I'm not some demented cat lady. I only have two (my limit) and they were both shelter kittens.
Posted by: AnnaD on July 17, 2007 09:53 AMSince you're basically doing LOLcats, I have to caption this in homage to the original:

Posted by: GUYK on July 17, 2007 05:00 PMDave,
I've eaten a lot of pussy in my life, and none of it tasted anything like chicken.
Worked with a guy when I was just out of highschool who was going through a divorce. One day he was lamenting the lack of feminine attention.
I asked him if he wanted a little pussy.
When he said yes, I told him that I would arrange for him to get a little pussy the following evening.
Promptly at 6:00 the next night I showed up on his door step with a six week old kitten.
He was pissed, but he kept the cat.
I've never been a "cat" person, but I LOVE cats that are like dogs. There are a couple of brothers (orange tabbys) who live next door and they are the best! You can pet them and pat them (and call them "George" :-) and they love it. Never do the claws come out. "Wilton" comes running across the lawns when I call him. Heck, Darwin our Westie (RiP)didn't respond like that!

Which one was urinating on the tree - the mouse, the fox or you (I have a bet with my wife)?
Posted by: B....... on July 17, 2007 09:35 PMB..... No matter what, the tree got the short end of the stick ...
Posted by: Peggy U on July 17, 2007 09:58 PMFor those young'uns needing "context" , here's a linky to the original 60s cartoon. (Just a matter of time 'fore YouTube cracks down, might as well enjoy it while it's here :-)

Some dogs get trapped in cat's bodies. I used to have one the same way. When I would get home from work, she would want me to chase her to the front door. She would come when I called her, and was an overall social being, and loved to be around people and music. I always said she was a dog trapped in a cat's body.
After Soupie was gone, I had to fill the void, and wound up with two (also my limit) sisters (also from a shelter) who are the biggest bitches in the world. All they want is food, and they shed all over the place and are a real pain in the ass. I only wanted one "replacement" cat, but couldn't split them apart, so I took them both. Mind you, I live in a little 1-bedroom apartment, so I bit off more than I could chew. Note to self...
At this point, I don't know what I would do without them, but I am looking forward to having a yard and a dog in a few months too.
