Wild Wild West Tour Day 1

So here I am at a Drury Inn in Lafayette Louisiana. Wireless connection! I was gonna go through Dallas, but there was a schedule conflict with the person I wanted to meet, so I decided to take the Southern route and meet up with a Blown-Eye in Kerrville tomorrow.

The drive was uneventful. When I left Atlanta, it was cloudy. When I stopped for gas and coffee the clouds were gone, so down came the top. That was OK until I got to southern Alabama and the rains came. Up went the top.

It rained off and on for the next 150 miles. Top up the rest of the way.

I scored the last room at the hotel and it is a crip room.

I listened to talk radio most of the way. It's hard to pick up a decent station in Alabama so I missed most of Boortz. Maybe he covered this story that I heard on an Atlanta radio station as I was leaving town. Thanks to Woody for the link.

(APN) ATLANTA – Former US Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) has sued the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper for libel, Atlanta Progressive News has learned.

The lawsuit was filed on July 26, 2007, in State Court of Fulton County, according to a copy of the court filing obtained by Atlanta Progressive News.

How neat is this? The Atlanta Urinal and Constipation versus Cynthia McCommie. This is one of those lawsuits that you want both sides to lose. It's Cynthia versus Cynthia.

The lawsuit focuses on what McKinney argues to be false claims in a July 30, 2006, Editorial written by the AJC’s Editorial Page Editor, Cynthia Tucker. Tucker received a Pulitzer Prize for a series of columns that year including that one.

Tucker is a liberal, so naturally, anything she writes is suspect, but what specifically is McCommie pissed off about?

While a news item in the AJC about the lawsuit yesterday mentions only one substantive claim relating to Tucker’s column, there are actually five "false and defamatory statements" listed in the suit.

First, the suit says that Tucker wrote, "She slugged him with her cell phone," to describe McKinney’s response to the police officer that day. "This false and libelous allegation is not supported by any witness or other evidence."

Then she better start suing a bunch of other media outlets as the AJC was not the only news organization that stated that she slugged the guard with her phone.

The rest of the article just documents the other alleged falsehoods written by Tucker and the AJC.

This should be a fun lawsuit to watch unfold. Like I said, I want both sides to lose. McCommie can't play the race card because Tucker is a black liberal. Sweet!

On the Michael Vick front, I see one of his buddies is pleading guilty and has already stated that Vick financed the entire dog fighting operation. Maybe the prison that Vick is gonna wind up in has a football team. We can have a real life version of The Longest Yard.

Buh-bye Michael.

Enjoy that wireless!

Glad to hear from you on the road; we'll have to compare notes when you get back.

Also glad to see you are up on Cyn Vs. Cyn and the Vick deal. I was hoping to hear your take on that.

I got picked for a Gwinnett County Jury today for what appears to be a major case. The local TV stations were all there, but we were not allowed to talk with them. I understand it is supposed to last all week.

Looking forward to a daily-post of pix and comments from you on my old roads.

Even though you are on vacation, the "name that party" fun can continue. Check this one out.

Don't you just love it when the libtards get at one another, especially a low-life like Cynthia. Britain has a "super-model" like her named Naomi Campbell, also of the African persuasion. A real charmer, who regularly assaults her staff with her cellphone. Why can they never handle success, and move on up? Then they could join the judiciary and sue dry cleaners or some other high class act. Goodbye to Michael Vick, we won't miss you - asshole.

Dan S: If you want to get out of that jury duty, ask about "jury nullification," or simply answer no to the question about understanding that your duty is solely to judge the facts of the case, not the law.

Denny.....

Do they have lawyers at the Banana Plantation in Africa where Cynthia is now working?..... Have they been admitted to the Georgia Bar Association & licensed to practice law in Georgia?..... Are they in the same law firm as Socialist Sally?....When are Rev`n Jackson & Honest Al Sharpton arriving in town to sign up for Jury Duty? ......Important questions!

RickC:

NOW you tell me!

:)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Cynthia.

Can't play the race card so she plays the victim card, along with the "I still need attention" card.

Typical Democrat. Never faces the real issues, because the only real issue is their narcissistic pathetic stinking political ass.

Look at this Democratic congress. Everything they do is self-centered and besides the point (they have held about 50 + something congressional hearings on Bush alone). When they do actually do something it ends up all fucked up anyway so I guess it's better that they continue to play in the manure pile.

Cynthia is only out for the notoriety and some money. Bottom line, who gives a rat's ass what she does anyway?

Last year the Atlanta Faclons told me that there were 30,000 people ahead of me to purchase season tickets. Today they offered some to me. What possibly could have caused reduced interest in the Falcons for this next year? I'll have to get back to you on this one.

Posted by: Woody on July 31, 2007 05:23 PM

Don't they have any surveillance cameras where the cellphone incident took place?

Posted by: CAshane on July 31, 2007 05:40 PM

CAshane-
Great question. I googled that for the last 10 minutes and came up empty. Why hasn't that been released? (rhetorical question).

We all know that if it was a Conservative slugging a cop it would be plastered all over the headlines instantly.

This beeyotch can't stand the lack of attention. I'm sure her illegitimate father, the good ol' Rev. Jackass Jackson will somehow tie this in with the obvious "racist" charge against Vick the dick!

vicki-
If Denny was coming further South, I would've offered, but he's going to be in the Northern part of Northern Mexico...(aka Central Kalifornia.)

Denny-
If you happen to change your course and drive a little more south by Pendleton, the drinks are on me!
