Ted Nugent translates into foreign languages as ...
"Genuine Badass"
Damn. His rant wasn't as good at the show i saw. There was still some Hillary bashing though! Much applause!
Posted by: BT on August 24, 2007 11:05 PMOkay, I've worked a Ted Nugent concert as a stage hand and was talked into sitting in a folding chair in front of the stage wearing a yellow T-shirt that said security on it. Now I don't have a problem with much of what Ted says, but the look in that wild man's eyes should scare the piss out of anyone he would come up against. Some of his "fans" made me sit a little light in my chair also! This was definatly a "pro right to carry" crowd, and I was wondering who was packing and who wasn't. There was a family of four in the front row with two kids, one of which couldn't have been in school yet. I'm sure that Mom and Dad where doing an okay job of raising the kids, but Ted's show and language is not for school kids. Just my opinion, you milage may vary.
Posted by: Mark on August 25, 2007 12:30 AMMark, I'd let Ted take my kid at any age, for the weekend anytime-He'd love it. Now if only I could convince my sister to let my nephew go-he has run out of places on his body to pierce and needs a kick in the behind-or the Mom.
I saw Bob Beckel on Ham and Cheese calling Ted a crazy-how I wished that he had the balls to say that to his face! ha!
Ted has a great beat, and you can dance to it! I give him a 10!
Posted by: LisaKay on August 25, 2007 06:28 AMAlthough I agree whole heartedly with his message, his delivery is a little extreme BUT anyone that knows him expects him to be this way. It's his personna. Ever watch one of his hunting shows where he talks and acts like he's on speed X 2 while all at the same time saying he's never taken drugs and anyone that does is a loser? This is just his method of operation so no one that sees this should be surprised. In reality, if more people were like him (rabidly patriotic and love what this country was founded on), things would probably be a lot better than they are now. I do think he approached very closely the line while holding a machine gun and talking about politicians. It starts to rival some of the nut jobs on the left.
Ray,
Ted is an Outspoken type, but wasn't it cool to really hear some conservative just spew? I loved it! Conservatives are cool, but taking the calm and cool high road and quiet complaining is not going to win against Hillary/B.Hussien Obama and the rest of the terrorists.
Ted has the balls to call a spade a spade. The language may be somewhat caustic...I give him kudos for saying out loud what most of us are already thinking!
LisaKay, I do agree with everything you wrote. I just know some folks in our "camp" get uncomfortable with this approach to getting feelings across. Oh well, do each their own. As long as the message gets across right?
Ray, would you rather do the wango tango? Just kidding-have a good weekend, just avoid looking at this weeks ugly boobiage.
Posted by: LisaKay on August 25, 2007 10:28 AMThe look in Hillary's eyes on a stage is way scarier than the look in Ted' eyes.
The "Reverend Theodocious Atrocious" strikes again.
Posted by: formerlib on August 25, 2007 11:03 AMI'd like to see ted deliver that speech, in its entirety, in front of the UN.
Posted by: patrick on August 25, 2007 03:48 PM"Hey Diane Feinstein, how about you ride one of these, you worthless whore..."
Yup, that pretty much sums her up; just another worthless Kalifornia political whore.

Mark-
You say that like it's a bad thing...
Antagonising The Other Side like that ain't gonna win us many friends...Our Gun Rights are hanging on by a thread...Most Americans are 2,3 generations removed from the time where a boy going off to plink cans w/his .22 was not considered a terrorist act... All people see now are nuts shooting up schools & crap like that...they don't understand how much FUN shooting-even shooting a Class-3 gun-really is.
Posted by: Sandy G on August 26, 2007 09:29 AMWhen in doubt, I whip it out. I got me a rock-n-roll band it's a free for all...
Watching Ted swing out on a vine in a loin cloth on New Year's Eve at the old Atlanta Omni was great. I saw it three years in a row.
That is what puts us above the barbaric Islam savages. That is what they will never be, and they know it.
Days after 911 I was deeply shaken by the attack. I think being a veteran with PTSD made it much worse for me. The feeling of helplessness was really hurting me.
I turned on the TV and started watching Farm Aid on CMT. And there was Martina Mc Bride, blue eyed and beautiful, singing her ass off. Her confidence, beauty, and talent was dead on. I had seen her at a Buckarama concert in the Georgia Dome years earlier. Her voice is so powerful you could hear her with the microphone off. As I watched her rip through her set, it hit me. Those arabic scumbags attacked us that day. But they will never have someone like Martina. They will never have football. They will never enjoy the myriad diversity of life that we as Americans enjoy every day. And this revelation brought me a great inner peace. Be it manifest destiny, fate, or luck, I know as a people we will continue to carry on. And pretty Martina Mc Bride will continue to sing. And the kids today will stand tall for this country just like myself and Denny and all the rest did yesterday. And everything will be ok.
Best wishes to all

Posted by: vetfromhell on August 26, 2007 03:37 PMCharlie Delta, No problems with right to carry here. I've had my card for 4 years now! I have to renew it this month and will do so. Back then the local paper printed a list of locals that had conceled carry permits, it pissed me off enough to go and get one myself. I have a .22 cal revolver, but have never used the conceled permit to carry it. I can imagine a time in the not too distant future when getting a conceled weapons permit will not be possible. Guys like Ted are out there fighting the left wing masses to keep our weapons rights. I have no problems with that what so ever. Not everyone appreciates Ted's method of delivery, and that's where I am. You might not like Ted's methods, but you can't ignore him.

Why not? You shouldn't count your ammo before it's hatched. Buy yourself something in the Caliber that starts with a "4", or at least practice your right to carry. It's the American way!

WelKome to Kalifornia....

Actually, I love Ted's methods. He's another kickass American that supports our way of life and doesn't worry about being PC in any way. Ted Rules, indeed!
Posted by: CharlieDelta on August 27, 2007 11:19 PMWhen Ted was here last time it was a rocking good show. The man has balls and is a true American. The 50 cal sitting up on the stage was no prop. At one point an effigy of Saddam rose up above the left top of the stage and Ted picked up his bow an put the arrow right in the heart of the prick. The crowd went wild. I think we got shitfaced that night singing Cat Scratch all the way home. Why don't we have more like him ??
Posted by: Pres on August 28, 2007 12:18 AMCharlie Delta: Man I'd love to have a model 1911 colt in the .45 caliber. A friend had a couple and took me to the range one day, now that was fun! I've fired .38s, .357s, 9mm, .40 and the .45. The .45 definatly leaves and impression! Maybe once I'm done putting my kids through Catholic High School and College I can look at buying a few of the "toys" I've always wanted. I inherited the .22 from my dad when he passed along with a .270 Remington BDL, an early 60s Browning .22 automatic rifle and a early 50s Remington pump 12ga shotgun. Dad bought all of these new. I know quite a few folks around here that own several handguns, not to mention rifles. A gun show here is a social event, not something to worry about.
Posted by: Mark on August 29, 2007 09:46 AMI open carry to go to the mailbox, and make sure that my hair and make-up look nice. I still iron my t-shirts and jeans. Sheesh.
I agree with Vetfromhell, Martina is a goddess, like the Lady Liberty. I love her/her voice because she can control it and then she can let it just rip and give ya goosebumps. She's up there with Annie Lennox and Pat Benatar and even Cyndi Lauper, she's always overlooked.
What was the topic again?
Oh yeah, Charlie Delta is thee coolest!
