Why ya gotta look sooooooo much to the Past??? The Larry Craig story seems to be resolving itself within 5 bidness days! Whatever is ahead is Progress! Jumpin' on Asshole Ted now, these days, is sort of like signifying senility is setting in.
The good ole days and such.
Today:
This was a GOOD Day.
It started out with going up to the Gwinnett Military Museum in Lawrenceville, GA.
I had submitted one of those tired, old, decrepit "My Year In Viet Nam" scrapbooks that sooooooo many purchased upon arrival in SEA..
Guess it might have been our Father's that raised within us an issue to preserve things that might be of 'ascendant'-value to future-generations or even posterity.
I met with Gene the Curator at the museum and he accepted all of my materials & documentation and agreed that they deserve preserve under glass in the display-cases within the rooms of the Museum.
I could say LOTS more about the HONOR of having FIVE generations of this Family & it's commitment to America available now for school-tours years into the future ....; but I won't because something ELSE was good & gracious today.
Because of the crippling of this school-issued laptop as ordered, assigned, & enforced by my Corporate Headquarters, I sent out a purchase-order for the DOMD (Device of My Dreams).
I found out, thru extensive research on the Net, that I had fallen for the hype & ordered a pig-in-a-poke. All sizzle & no steak ... PLUS a 2-year commitment @ $99.xx/per month.
It took HOURS to cancel it, but my battle ended in success.
So much so, that 'they' now owe ME $28.36!
Labor is weak & Union moreso, but this Labor Day weekend has me feeling like a cross between Tennessee Ernie Ford and Joe Hill.
Labor is dumb, stupid, weak & perhaps even uninformed; in that, they are as my beloved Grunt's (the 03-Miscellaneous (2511?) MOS) that gives them tasks beyond their best interest. Yet, without them, no battle of any sort has ever been carried.
$28.36 may not mean much to a SRF, but it means the *World* to folk like me. Without us, there could BE no SRF nor Labor Day Weekend. Twenty-eight dollars and change ........... EARNED! Not welfare, not rebate, not charity, not interest.
HONOR ...earned and held-tight. It's of value beyond what any can employ against it. It's the stuff worth taking to the grave.
ENJOY THE WEEKEND!

If referring to "folk like me" means military, you got that right and as much as I rag on you, you know I and many others appreciate the service of you and the millions of others before and after you.
Now, step away from the bong and go out and "labor" this weekend.
Ted was out this past week exclaiming the rule of law. How soon one forgets. Especially when it comes to Mary Joe Kopechne. Hypocrisy has never embarrassed a democrat. Especially Ted Kennedy.
